Constructing charge transfer(CT)state by introducing donor(D)and acceptor(A)is an efficient strategy to regulate the photophysical properties of luminescent *** CT-type luminophores are built onπ-conjugated fused-ring structures,which always show hybrid CT/locally excited(LE)states and luminescence quenching effect in the aggregate *** this work,eight conjugated biphenyl(BP)and nonconjugated diphenylmethane(DPM)derivatives with different donors and acceptors are synthesized to investigate the CT *** photophysical characterization and theoretical calculation demonstrate that the through-space CT(TsCT)in nonconjugated DA-DPM exhibit superior photophysical performance than the conjugated DA-BP with through-bond CT(TBCT),the main manifestations are as follows:(1)TsCT luminophores produce longer maximum emission wavelength(λ_(em))than the corresponding TBCT *** example,the longest λ_(em)of DMA-CN-DPM(DMA,dimethylamino)is 621 nm but the corresponding λ_(em)of DMA-CN-BP is only 480 nm.(2)TsCT-based DA-DPM demonstrates more sensitive responsiveness to environmental stimuli such as temperature and polarity.(3)Complete separation of the the highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)distribution exists in all kinds of conformation of DA-DPM,which was hard to realize in conjugated DA-BP.

Anti-psoriasis molecular targets and active components discovery of Optimized Yinxieling Formula via affinity-purified strategy

Psoriasis,a prevalent inherited skin condition,involves an inflammatory response as a key pathogenic *** Optimized Yinxieling Formula(OYF),rooted in traditional Chinese medicine,is extensively utilized in clinical settings to treat *** previous studies have demonstrated OYF’s significant anti-inflammatory effects in psoriasis,its potential molecular targets and active components remain *** study aimed to unveil the anti-psoriasis molecular targets and active components of *** findings indicated that OYF extract markedly reduced the production of several inflammatory mediators,including IL-23,nitric oxide,TNF-α,and IL-1β,in LPs-induced RAW264.7 *** synthesized OYF extract-crosslinked beads to isolate pharmacological targets from RAW264.7 lysates using an affinity purification strategy,known as Target *** enriched target proteins were subsequently identified via LC-Ms/Ms,followed by bioinformatics analysis to map the psoriasis-associated pathway-gene *** identified a total of 76 potential target proteins,which were highly associated with mRNA transcription *** particular,pathway-gene network analysis revealed that the IL-23 inflammatory pathway was involved in the anti-psoriasis effect of OYF *** further utilized a target protein-based affinity capture strategy,combined with LC-Ms and sPR analysis,to globally screen OYF’s active components,focusing on the mRNA transcription regulator,fused in sarcoma(FUs).This process led to the identification of umbelliferone,vanillic acid,protocatechuic acid,gentisic acid,and echinacoside as key compounds targeting FUs to inhibit IL-23 ***,we formulated a compound cocktail(CpdC),which significantly reduced psoriasis area and severity index(PAsI)scores and the expressions of IL-23 and Ki67 in an imiquimod(IMQ)-induced psoriasis mouse ***,our study elucidates the primary molecular targets and active components of OYF,offeri

substrate stiffness is a microenvironment with a certain stiffness constructed by the extracellular matrix and adjacent cells, which plays an important role in the growth and development of cells and tissue formation. studies have indicated that the stiffness of the brain is about 0.1–1 kPa. The physiological and pathological processes of the nervous system are mediated by the substrate stiffness that the neurons suffer. However, how substrate stiffness regulates these processes remains to be studied. Culturing neurons on substrates with different stiffness in vitro is one of the best methods to study the role of stiffness in regulating neuronal development and activity. In this study, by changing the preparation time and the activation time of polyacrylamide gel, we provide an improved method that achieves a low toxic substrate environment for better primary neuron adhesion and development. Hope that this method is convenient for those studying the role of substrate stiffness in neurons.

This study investigated degradation behaviors of a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug Nabumetone(NMT)and its major metabolite 6-methoxy-2-naphthylacetic acid(MNA)in the coupling process of ultraviolet and monochloramine(UV/NH2Cl).The second-order rate constants of the contaminants reacting with reactive radicals(HO·,Cl·,Cl_(2)·-,and CO_(3)·^(-))were determined by laser flash photolysis ***·and Cl·contributed predominantly with 52.3%and 21.7%for NMT degradation and 60.8%and 22.3%for MNA *** presence of chlorides retarded the degradation of NMT,while promoted the destruction of MNA,which was ascribed to the photosensitization effects of MNA under UV *** functional theory(DFT)calculations revealed that radical adduct formation(RAF)was dominant pathway for both HO·and Cl·reacting with the contaminants,and hydrogen atom transfer(HAT)preferred to occur on side chains of NMT and *** reacted with NO_(2)·through single electron transfer(sET)with the second-order rate constant calculated to be 5.35×10^(7)(mol/L)^(-1)sec^(-1),and the contribution of NO_(2)·was predicted to be 13.0%of the total rate constant of NMT in pure water,which indicated that NO_(2)·played a nonnegligible role in the degradation of *** acute toxicity and developmental toxicity of NMT were enhanced after UV/NH_(2)Cl treatment,while those of MNA were *** transformation products of both NMT and MNA exhibited higher mutagenicity than their parent *** study provides a deep understanding of the mechanism of radical degradation of NMT and MNA in the treatment of UV/NH2Cl.

selective leaching of lithium from spent lithium-ion batteries using sulfuric acid and oxalic acid

Traditional hydrometallurgical methods for recovering spent lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)involve acid leaching to simultaneously extract all valuable metals into the *** methods usually are followed by a series of separation steps such as precipitation,extraction,and stripping to separate the individual valuable *** this study,we present a process for selectively leaching lithium through the synergistic effect of sulfuric and oxalic *** optimal leaching conditions(leaching time of 1.5 h,leaching temperature of 70°C,liquid-solid ratio of 4 mL/g,oxalic acid ratio of 1.3,and sulfuric acid ratio of 1.3),the lithium leaching efficiency reached89.6%,and the leaching efficiencies of Ni,Co,and Mn were 12.8%,6.5%,and 21.7%.X-ray diffraction(XRD)and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer(ICP-OEs)analyses showed that most of the Ni,Co,and Mn in the raw material remained as solid residue oxides and *** study offers a new approach to enriching the relevant theory for selectively recovering lithium from spent LIBs.

Despite much research in the field of island biogeography,mechanisms regulating insular diversity remain ***,we aim to explore mechanisms underlying plant species-area relationships in two tropical archipelagoes in the south China *** found positive plant species-area relationships for both coral and continental ***,our results showed that different mechanisms contributed to similar plant species-area relationships between the two *** coral islands,soil nutrients and spatial distance among communities played major roles in shaping plant community structure and species *** contrast,the direct effect of island area,and to a lesser extent,soil nutrients determined plant species richness on continental ***,increasing soil nutrients availability(N,P,K)had opposite effects on plant diversity between the two *** summary,the habitat quality effect and dispersal limitation are important for regulating plant diversity on coral islands,whereas the passive sampling effect,and to a lesser extent,the habitat quality effect are important for regulating plant diversity on continental *** generally,our findings indicate that island plant species-area relationships are outcomes of the interplay of both niche and neutral processes,but the driving mechanisms behind these relationships depends on the type of islands.

Due to its zero emissions,high efficiency and low noise,proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC)is full of potential for the application of vehicle power ***,its lifespan and durability remain multiple obstacles to be solved before widespread *** exposure to non-rated operating conditions could considerably accelerate the degradation of the PEMFC in various forms,thus reducing its *** paper first analyzes degradation mechanisms of PEMFCs under typical automotive operating conditions,including idling,startup-shutdown,dynamic loads,and cold *** corresponding accelerated stress testing methods are also ***,as the impurities existed in the reaction gas source and generated from the degradation of the PEMFC itself may occur under all automotive conditions,the degradation mechanisms caused by impurity contamination are classified and reviewed in *** that,the techniques proposed by researchers to enhance the durability of PEMFCs are presented from four aspects:membrane electrode assembly materials,bipolar plates and flow fields design,stack assembly,and cell control *** challenges in the field and the prospects for the future are summarized and analyzed at the *** aim of this work is to provide guidelines for improving the durability of PEMFCs in vehicle applications.

Rapid simultaneous Determination of Four Ganoderic Acids in Ganoderma(Chinese Name:Lingzhi)by Direct Infusion-Multiple Reaction Monitoring Cubed

Attributing to the rapid demand expansion for the edible medicinal materials in the market,the limited throughput of highperformance liquid chromatography-multiple reaction monitoring(HPLC-MRM)cannot fully address the measurement workload for a huge number of testing ***,it is urgent to pursue more efficient approaches for the quality *** of the greater selectivity of MRM cubed(MRM^(3))over MRM,there might be a chance to omit the time-intensive LC *** current study,we attempted to develop a direct infusion(DI)-MRM^(3) program,and the applicability was thereafter assessed through simultaneous determination of four ganoderic acids(GAs)in one of the most famous tonic herbal medicines namely Ganoderma(Chinese name:Lingzhi).Primary parameters such as Q1>Q3>QLIT ion transitions,collision energy(CE),and excitation energy were optimized by programming online energy-resolved mass spectrometry with authentic compounds.A single DI-MRM measurement merely costed four minutes,and in spite of the wide occurrences of isomers,satisfactory selectivity was *** validation assays demonstrated the method to be sensitive,precise,accurate,and *** quantitative results from DI-MRM^(3) were also justified by conducting LC-MRM measurements in *** differences occurred for the content patterns between the two original sources namely Ganoderma lucidum and ***,and,moreover,either cultivar or harvest time showed dramatical influence on the quantitative features of the four targeted *** importantly,DI-MRM3 is a meaningful analytical option for rapid quantitative analysis of herbal medicines,because of the comparable reliability,nonetheless,less consumptions of both measurement time and solvent,compared with LC-MRM.

We report herein an unprecedented N-heterocyclic carbene-catalyzed formal[3+3]annulation of ynals with N-Ts indolin-3-ones under the oxidation condition affording the functionalized pyrano[3,2-b]*** alkynyl acylazoliums via the combination of a carbene with ynals in the presence of oxidate proved to be the important intermediates for the success of this *** method features a broad substrate scope and mild conditions,including axially chiral skeletons with suitable substitutions.
