identification of reservoir types.in deep carbonates has always been a great challenge due to complex logging responses caused by the heterogeneous scale and distribution of storage *** cross-plot analysis and empirical formula methods for identifying reservoir types using geophysical logging data have high uncertainty and low efficiency,which cannot accurately reflect the nonlinear relations.ip between reservoir types and logging ***,the kernel Fisher discriminant analysis(KFD),a kernel-based machine learning technique,attracts attention in many fields because of its strong nonlinear proces.ing ***,the overall performance of KFD model may be limited as a single kernel function cannot simultaneously extrapolate and interpolate well,especially for highly complex data *** address this.issue,in this study,a mixed kernel Fisher discriminant analysis(MKFD)model was established and applied to identify reservoir types of the deep sinian carbonates.in central sichuan Basin,*** MKFD model was trained and tested with 453 datasets from 7 coring wells,utilizing GR,CAL,DEN,AC,CNL and RT logs as.input *** particle swarm optimization(PsO)was adopted for hyper-parameter optimization of MKFD *** evaluate the model performance,prediction results of MKFD were compared with those of basic-kernel based KFD,RF and sVM ***,the built MKFD model was applied in a blind well test,and a variable importance analysis was *** comparison and blind test results demonstrated that MKFD outperformed traditional KFD,RF and sVM in the identification of reservoir types,which provided higher accuracy and stronger *** MKFD can therefore be a reliable method for identifying reservoir types of deep carbonates.

Cancer is one of the deadliest diseases affecting the health of human beings. With limited therapeutic options available, complementary and alternative medicine has been widely adopted in cancer management and is.increasingly becoming accepted by both patients and healthcare workers alike. Chinese medicine characterized by its unique diagnos.ic and treatment system is the most widely applied complementary and alternative medicine. it emphasizes symptoms and zheng(syndrome)-based treatment combined with contemporary disease diagnosis and further stratifies patients.into individualized medicine subgroups. As a representative cancer with the highest degree of malignancy, pancreatic cancer is traditionally clas.ified into the "amassment and accumulation". Emerging perspectives define the core pathogenesis of pancreatic cancer as "dampness-heat" and the respective treatment "clearing heat and resolving dampness" has been demonstrated to prolong survival in pancreatic cancer patients, as has been observed in many other cancers. This clinical advantage encourages an exploration of the essence of dampness-heat zheng(DHZ) in cancer and inves.igation into underlying mechanisms of action of herbal formulations against dampness-heat. However, at present, there is a lack of understanding of the molecular characteris.ics of DHZ in cancer and no standardized and widely accepted animal model to study this core syndrome in vivo. The shortage of animal models limits the ability to uncover the antitumor mechanisms of herbal medicines and to assess the safety profile of the natural products derived from them. This review summarizes the current research on DHZ in cancer in terms of the clinical aspects, molecular landscape, and animal models. This study aims to provide comprehensive insight that can be used for the establishment of a future standardized zheng-based cancer animal model.

K-ion batteries(KiBs) have drawn much attention due to the abundant potas.ium reserves and wide acces.ibility as well as high energy density, which can be designed for large-scale energy storage systems. As the most promising anode materials for KiBs, graphitic carbons, especially those with an intermediate structure between the crystalline graphite and amorphous carbons become a hot research focus because of the improved rate capability and enhanced diffusion-controlled capacity at low voltage regions. Herein, we first review the structures of graphitic carbons.in the view of graphitic domains and the structure changes.in their K-ion intercalation compounds. Then, we summarize the preparation mechanisms and characterizations of graphitic carbons and the influence factors.in their degree of graphitization. Furtherly, we illustrate the strategies to optimize their K-ion storage properties from four aspects, namely graphitic domain design, microstructure engineering, electrochemical active component regulation, and defect engineering. Finally, we propose the issues that urgently need to be solved in graphitic carbons and the pos.ible solutions. We hope that this view could offer some ins.iration for the further designing and optimizing of graphitic carbons for practical KiBs.

Ecological studies suggested a link between air pollution and severe COViD-19 outcomes,while studies accounting for individual-level characteris.ics are *** the present study,we aimed to inves.igate the impact of short-term ambient air pollution exposure on disease severity among a cohort of 569 laboratory confirmed COViD-19 patients admitted to designated hos.itals.in Zhejiang province,China,from January 17 to March 3,2020,and elucidate the pos.ible biological processes.involved using *** with mild cases,severe cases had higher proportion of medical conditions as well as unfavorable results.in most of the laboratory tests,and manifested higher air pollution exposure *** exposure to air pollutants was associated with increased risk of severe COViD-19 with odds ratio(OR)of 1.89(95%confidence interval(Ci):1.01,3.53),2.35(95%Ci:1.20,4.61),2.87(95%Ci:1.68,4.91),and 2.01(95%Ci:1.10,3.69)for PM_(2.5),PM_(10),NO_(2)and CO,*** for NO_(2)remained significant in two-pollutant models after adjus.ing for other *** analysis showed 884 differentially expressed genes which mainly were enriched in virus clearance related biological processes between patients with high and low NO_(2)exposure levels.indicating that compromised immune response might be a potential underlying mechanis.ic *** findings highlight the impact of shortterm air pollution exposure,particularly for NO_(2),on COViD-19 severity,and emphasize the significance in mitigating the COViD-19 burden of commitments to improve air quality.
