Lithium-sulfur batteries(LsBs)have attracted the attention of more and more researchers due to the advantages of high energy density,environmental friendliness,and low production ***,the low electronic conductivity of active material and shuttling effect of lithium polysulfides(LiPss)limit the commercial development of *** solve these problems,we design a core-shell composite with nitrogen-doped carbon(NC)and two types of selenides(Fese_(2)-NC@Znse-NC).The Fese_(2)-NC@Znse-NC has a strong adsorption capacity,and can effectively adsorb *** the same time,it also effectively alleviates the shuttling effect of LiPss,and improves the utilization of the active substance during the charge/discharge reaction *** mechanism involved in Fese_(2)-NC@Znse-NC is demonstrated by both experiments and density-functional theory(DFT)*** electrochemical test results.indicate that LsB with s/Fese_(2)-NC@Znse-NC delivers an initial discharge capacity of 1260 mAh·g^(-1)at *** after 500 cycles at 1C,the capacity decay rate per cycle is 0.031%,and the capacity retention rate is 85%.The Fese_(2)-NC@Znse-NC core-shell structure verifies a rational strategy to construct an electrode material for high-performance LsBs.

Background:Evidence indicates that low muscle strength is associated with an increased cardiovascular diseases(CVDs)***,the association between muscle strength changes based on repeated measurements and CVD incidence remains ***:The study used data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal study in 2011(Wave 1),2013(Wave 2),2015(Wave 3),and 2018(Wave 4).Low muscle strength was defined as handgrip strengthkg for men orkg for women,or chair-rising time≥12 *** on changes.in muscle strength from Waves 1 to 2,participants were categorized into four groups of Normal-Normal,Low-Normal,Normal-Low,and *** events.including heart disease and stroke,were recorded using a self-reported ques.ionnaire during Waves 3 and 4 *** proportional hazards models were used to inves.igate the association between muscle strength changes and CVD incidence after multivariable *** ratios(HRs)and 95%confidence intervals(95%Cis)were es.imated with the Normal-Normal group as the ***:A total of 1164 CVD cases were identified among 6608 *** to participants with sustained normal muscle strength,the CVD risks.increased progres.ively across groups of the Low-Normal(HR=1.20,95%Ci:1.01-1.43),the Normal-Low(HR=1.35,95%Ci:1.14-1.60),and the Low-Low(HR=1.76,95%Ci:1.49-2.07).similar patterns were observed for the significant associations between muscle strength status and the incidence risks of heart disease and *** analyses showed that the significant associations between CVD and muscle strength changes were consistent across age,sex,and body mass.index(BMi)***:The study found that muscle strength changes were associated with CVD *** suggests that continuous tracking of muscle status may be helpful in screening cardiovascular risk.

Electrochemical production of hydrogen from water requires the development ofelectrocatalysts that are active,stable,and low-cost for water *** address these challenges,researchers are increasingly exploring binder-free electrocatalytic integratedelectrodes (iEs) as an alternative to conventional powder-based electrode preparation methods,for the former is highly desirable to improve the catalytic activity and long-term stability for large-scale applications of ***,we demonstrate a laser-inducedhydrothermal reaction (LiHR) technique to grow NiMoo4nanosheets on nickel foam,which is then calcined under H2/Ar mixed gases to prepare the iE *** electrode exhibits superior hydrogen evolution reaction performance,requiring overpotentials of 59,116 and143 mV to achieve current densities of 100,500 and 1000 mA·*** the 350 h chronopotentiometry test at current densities of 100 and 500 m A·cm-2,the overpotentialremains essentially *** addition,NiFe-layered double hydroxide grown on Ni foam is also fabricated with the same LiHR method and coupled with iE-NiMo-iR to achieve water *** combination exhibits excellent durability under industrial current *** energy consumption and production efficiency of the LiHR method are systematicallycompared with the conventional hydrothermal *** LiHR method significantly improves the production rate by over 19 times,while consuming only 27.78%of the total energy required by conventional hydrothermal methods to achieve the same production.

Hydrogel electrolytes hold great potential in flexible zinc ion supercapacitors(ZiCs)due to their high conductivity,good safety,and ***,freezing of electrolytes at low temperature(subzero)leads to dras.ic reduction in ionic conductivity and mechanical properties that deteriorates the performance of flexible ***,the mechanical fracture during arbitrary deformations significantly prunes out the lifespan of the flexible ***,a Zn^(2+)and Li^(+)co-doped,polypyrrole-dopamine decorated sb_(2)s_(3)incorporated,and polyvinyl alcohol/poly(N-(2-hydroxyethyl)acrylamide)double-network hydrogel electrolyte is constructed with favorable mechanical reliability,anti-freezing,and self-healing *** addition,it delivers ultra-high ionic conductivity of 8.6 and 3.7 s m^(-1)at 20 and−30°C,respectively,and displays excellent mechanical properties to withstand tensile stress of 1.85 MPa with tensile elongation of 760%,together with fracture energy of 5.14 MJ m^(-3).Notably,the fractured hydrogel electrolyte can recover itself after only 90 s of infrared illumination,while regaining 83%of its tensile strain and almost 100%of its.ionic conductivity during−30–60°***,ZiCs coupled with this hydrogel electrolyte not only show a wide voltage window(up to 2 V),but also provide high energy density of 230 Wh kg^(-1)at power density of 500 W kg^(-1)with a capacity retention of 86.7%after 20,000 cycles under 20°***,the ZiCs are able to retain excellent capacity even under various mechanical deformation at−30°*** contribution will open up new insights.into design of advanced wearable flexible electronics with environmental adaptability and long-life span.

Antimicrobial peptides(AMPs.in insects are endogenous peptides that are effector components of the innate defense system of the *** may serve as antimicrobial agents because of their small molecular weight and broad-spectrum antimicrobial *** this study,we performed transcriptome analysis of cigarette beetle(Lasioderma serricorne)larvae,parasitized by the ectoparasitic wasp,Anisopteromalus *** AMP genes were significantly upregulated following *** parasitism,postulating the hypothesis that the parasitization enhanced the host's resistance against pathogenic microorganisms through the regulation of host AMP ***,3 AMP genes(LsDef1,LsDef2,and LsCole)were significantly upregulated and we studied their immune function in *** challenge and functional analysis showed that LsCole was responsible for the immune response against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria,while LsDef1 and LsDef2 were involved in insect defense against Gram-positive *** recombinant LsCole exhibited antimicrobial activities against the Gram-negative bacterium Escherichia coli and the Gram-positive bacterium staphylococcus ***2 showed an antibacterial effect against *** and LsDef2 exhibited antibiofilm activity against *** 2 AMPs disrupted cell membranes and caused leakage of *** cell *** results.indicated that the 3 AMPs.in *** are involved in the innate immunity of this pest *** AMPs may have potential as antimicrobial agents for bacterial infection ***,data are discussed in relation to new control strategies with greater biosafety against pest insects with use of microbial biocontrol agents.in combination with RNA interference against the insect's defensive AMP genes.

As the second of Earth's Trojan asteroids, 2020 XL_(5) is worthy of rendezvous and even sample return mis.ions.in many aspects. in this paper, a rendezvous mis.ion to Earth's second Trojan asteroid 2020 XL_(5) is ***, due to its high inclination and large eccentricity, direct impulsive transfer requires large amounts of fuel consumption. To address this challenge, we explore the benefits of electric propulsion and multi-gravity as.ist techniques for interplanetary mis.ions. These two techniques are integrated in this mis.ion design. The design of a low-thrust gravity-as.ist(LTGA) trajectory in multi-body dynamics.is thoroughly inves.igated,which is a complex process. A comprehensive framework including three steps.is presented here for optimization of LTGA trajectories.in multi-body dynamics. The rendezvous mis.ion to 2020 XL_(5) is designed with this three-step approach. The most effective transfer sequence among the outcomes.involves Earth–Venus–Earth–Venus-2020 XL_(5). Numerical results.indicate that the combination of electric propulsion and multi-gravity as.ists can greatly reduce the fuel consumption, with fuel consumption of 9.03%, making it a highly favorable choice for this rendezvous mis.ion.
