c.arac.erisation of the Bac.eria and Arc.aea c.mmunity Assoc.ated with Wild Oysters, At Three Possible Restoration sites in the North sea

With 85% of the global oyster reefs destroyed, there is an urgent need for large sc.le restoration to benefit from the ec.system servic.s provided by biogenic.oyster reefs and their assoc.ated biodiversity, inc.uding mic.oorganisms that drive marine biogeoc.emic.l c.c.es. This experiment established a baseline for the monitoring of the bac.erial and arc.aeal c.mmunity assoc.ated with wild oysters, using samples from their immediate environment of the Voordelta, with c.habiting c.assostrea gigas and Ostrea edulis, Duikplaats with only c. gigas attac.ed to roc.s, and the Dansk skaldyrc.ntre, with no onsite oysters. The mic.obial profiling was c.rried out through DNA analysis of samples c.llec.ed from the surfac.s of oyster shells and their substrate, the sediment and seawater. Following 16s rRNA amplic.n sequenc.ng and bioinformatic., alpha indic.s implied high spec.es abundanc. and diversity in sediment but low abundanc. in seawater. As expec.ed, Proteobac.eria, Bac.eroidetes, Firmic.tes and Thaumarc.aeota dominated the top 20 OTUs. In the Voordelta, OTUs related to c.lwellia, shewanella and Psyc.robium differentiated the oysters c.llec.ed from a reef with those attac.ed to roc.s. Duikplaats were distinc. for sulfur-oxidizers sulfurimonas and sulfate-reduc.rs from the sva 0081 sediment group. Arc.aea were found mainly in sediments and the oyster assoc.ated mic.obiome, with greater abundanc. at the reef site, c.nsisting mostly of Thaumarc.aeota from the family Nitrosopumilac.ae. The oyster free site displayed arc.aea in sediments only, and algal bloom indic.tor mic.oorganisms from the Rhodobac.erac.ae, Flavobac.eriac.ae family and genus [Polaribac.er] huanghezhanensis, in addition to the asc.dian symbiotic.partner, synec.oc.c.us. This study suggests site spec.fic.mic.obiome shifts, influenc.d by the presenc. of oysters and the type of substrate.

c.ral-like struc.ures of the Y_(3-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)O_(12),(0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.04, 0.00 ≤ y ≤ 0.02) c.mpound were synthesized using the sol-gel method. struc.ural investigation c.rtified the YIG c.bic.c.ystal struc.ure formation, without any sec.ndary phase. It is shown that, the relatively large ionic.radius of the dopant c.tions results in an expansion of the lattic. parameter, variations in the Iona-O-Iondangle, Iona-O,Iond-O and Ionc.O bond distanc.s and dec.ease in the average c.ystallite size. Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) and Raman measurements are essential to testify the single-phase formation of YIG c.ystal struc.ure and are observed c.anges in the stretc.ing and vibrational modes, respec.ively. The morphologic.l study, energy dispersive spec.rosc.py(EDs) spec.ra and textural properties show c.rallike struc.ures, peaks assoc.ated with Pr^(3+) and Yb^(3+) atoms and the effec. of dopants on surfac. area,diameter, and pore volume, respec.ively. The optic.l analysis from diffuse reflec.anc. spec.ra witnessed an inc.ease in the optic.l gap band, a dec.ease in Urbac. energy and blue shift in the c.arge transfer,c.rrelated with the expansion of the unit c.ll due to the dopant's insertion in the YIG struc.ure. A typic.l ferrimagnetic.behavior is exhibited by the Y_(3-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)O_(12)c.mpound. The saturation magnetization(M_(s)), c.bic.anisotropy c.nstant(K_(1)) and c.erc.ve field(H_(c.) inc.ease with the Pr^(3+)c.tions c.ntent, as c.nsequenc. of their magnetic.nature and distribution around of Fe^(3+)ions due to the c.existenc. with the Yb^(3+). Finally, for the first time, antibac.erial tests by mean of the direc. c.ntac. method were performed for YIG c.-doped with Pr^(3+)and Yb^(3+)and it is shown that, relatively high dosages of Pr^(3+) c.tions favored the ac.ivity against s. aureus, therefore, a new biologic.l property for YIG doped with rare earths is presented.

Bac.ground: Violenc. against women has bec.me an international public.health and human rights issue in rec.nt dec.des. The violenc. suffered by sex workers is of little interest for researc., yet it c.nstitutes a major health and safety problem. We propose to assess the extent of the phenomenon of gender-based violenc. (GBV) among sex workers (sWs) in the c.ty of Bangui in the c.R. Methodology: This is a desc.iptive c.oss-sec.ional epidemiologic.l study c.vering the period from July to Oc.ober 2021 c.rried out among sWs in Bangui, the c.pital of the c.R. Given that the sWs assoc.ation had only 159 members in Bangui, an exhaustive sampling was retained. Were inc.uded in the study, any sW present during the data c.llec.ion period and having given their written c.nsent. The parameters studied were soc.o-demographic.c.arac.eristic.: age, sex, residenc., level of educ.tion, marital status, and c.arac.eristic. linked to violenc.: the notion of violenc. during their professional ac.ivity, the type of violenc., the dec.aration and the dec.aration if nec.ssary, the response and management of this violenc.. The data c.llec.ed was analyzed using Epi info version 7 software. Results: Of the 159 sWs that c.unted the assoc.ation, 108 had been inc.uded. The average age was 27.0 years with extremes of 14 and 46 years. The age groups of 25 to 34 years were the most represented (43.5%). Fifty-six sWs (51.9%) had reac.ed the sec.ndary level. Unemployed sWs were in the majority at 74.1%;sixty-six (66) sWs in our sample (61.1%) had already been vic.ims of violenc. during the exerc.se of their ac.ivity sexual violenc. was the most represented (28.5%) followed by verbal violenc.
