A novel type of application for the exploration of enclosed or otherwise difficult to access environments requires large quantities of miniaturized sensor nodes to perform measurements while they traverse the environment in a “go with the flow” approach. Examples of these are the exploration of underground cavities and the inspection of industrial pipelines or mixing tanks, all of which have in common that the environments are difficult to access and do not allow position determination using e.g. GPs or similar techniques. The sensor nodes need to be scaled down towards the millimetre range in order to physically fit through the narrowest of parts in the environments and should measure distances between each other in order to enable the reconstruction of their positions relative to each other in offline analysis. Reaching those levels of miniaturization and enabling reconstruction functionality requires: 1) novel reconstruction algorithms that can deal with the specific measurement limitations and imperfections of millimetre-sized nodes, and 2) improved understanding of the relation between the highly constraint hardware design space of the sensor nodes and the reconstruction algorithms. To this end, this work provides a novel and highly robust sensor swarm reconstruction algorithm and studies the effect of hardware design trade-offs on its performance. Our findings based on extensive simulations, which push the reconstruction algorithm to its breaking point, provide important guidelines for the future development of millimetre-sized sensor nodes.

We are presenting the case of a 42-year-old ?male patient, who was hospitalized due to an acute small bowel obstruction caused by a tissue mass of the mesentery. The patient reported that he had a history of a testicular tumour. For therapy of intestinal obstruction as well as for diagnostic reasons we decided to perform ?an explorative laparotomy. On histopathological examination the immunohistological staining was positive for myeloperoxidase (MPO) and KP-1 (CD68). staining was slightly positive for Bcl-2, CD117, CD34, but negative for CD3, CD4, CD5, CD8, CD20, CD30, CD79, Bcl-6 and s-100. This leads to the diagnosis of a myeloid sarcoma. After recovery from surgery and chemotherapy, allogenic bone marrow transplantation was performed. Most intestinal obstructions are caused by postoperative adhesions or hernias and only in rare cases caused by a myeloid sarcoma.

乳腺癌是女性最常见的恶性肿瘤之一,芳香化酶抑制剂(AIs)是辅助治疗乳腺癌的重要手段.福美司坦(4-OHA)作为固醇类AIs,不可逆地抑制芳香化酶的活性,可有效治疗乳腺癌.多项研究表明,醛酮还原酶(AKR1Cs)参与许多固醇类及其衍生物的代谢而间接治疗多种激素依赖性疾病,从而成为治疗靶点.我们推测AKR1Cs可能参与4-OHA的特异性代谢而影响其疗效.本文通过体外原核表达纯化成功得到4种具有酶活性的AKR1Cs蛋白亚型,采用荧光法检测AKR1Cs对4-OHA的催化效率,并检测AKR1Cs酶抑制剂对其催化还原4-OHA的影响.结果发现4种AKR1Cs蛋白亚型均能催化还原4-OHA,其中AKR1C4能快速还原4-OHA,转化率几乎为100%,其次是AKR1C3和AKR1C1,转化效率为30%左右,AKR1C2对4-OHA的还原性最低,转化效率只有20%左右.同时抑制剂对AKR1Cs表现出明显的剂量-效应关系,非线性回归分析得到抑制剂对AKR1C3和AKR1C4的亲和性较强,IC50值分别为47.4μmol/L和54.68μmol/L,而对AKR1C1和AKR1C2的抑制力相对较弱,IC50值分别为77.37μmol/L和82.24μmol/L.以上结果表明,4-OHA能被肝脏中特异性表达的AKR1C4快速代谢,从代谢角度揭示了4-OHA口服用药效果不理想的原因.因此,本研究阐明了4-OHA肠胃外或经皮给药的优势并奠定了理论基础,也为今后利用纳米药物载体和开展该药物衍生物的深入研究提供了新思路.

耶柯比在信中指出,费希特的知识学是康德的先验观念论的逻辑完成和颠倒的斯宾诺莎主义,是最一致的理性哲学系统。不过,因为它仍然坚持先验哲学的固有模式,即,认识就是去构造和解释对象,使之成为认识主体的产物,这样一来,对实在的主观构造、理性解释和抽象思辨取代了实在本身的自我显现和启示,认识无异于消灭认识对象,它最终提供的只是自己的主观创造物和逻辑幻象,所以陷入了否定外在世界、自由灵魂以及上帝存在的宿命论、无神论和虚无主义。与德国观念论不同,耶柯比宣称自己主张一种前所未有的实在论和直接性的哲学,强调内在意识与外在现实、我与你处于具体的、活生生的互动关系之中。没有外在现实,没有你,内在意识就不可能存在,我就不可能是我自己。不仅如此,通过信仰,现实向人启示它自身,而人可以直接通达现实。

The paleoclimatic events and cause in the Okinawa Trough during 50 kaBP

Planktonic foraminiferal δ18O record for core DGKs9603 from the Okinawa Trough shows a series of climatic fluctuations and sudden cooling events in short time scale during 50 kaBP, which appear to correlate closely tothe Younger Dryas and heinrich events H1-5 recorded in Chinese loess, the south China sea, the North Atlantic cores and the Greenland ice cores. Three polarity reversal events, correlating to Gothenburg, Mungo and Laschamp events, approximately correspond to heinrich events H1, H3 and H5 respectively, which could be a cause of global climate changes. The δ18O curve of the Okinawa Trough is well associated with the grain size record of the Lijiayuan loess profile in northwestern China and is somewhat different from the climate fluctuations documented in the Greenland ice cores. These correlation results indicate that regional factors play an important role in controlling the climate changes in the East Asia, and the East Asian Monsoon could be the prominent regional controlling factor.

In Nishitani’s The self-Overcoming of Nihilism, Nishitani explores, among other related topics, the history of the problem of Nihilism in the West. Conspicuously absent from Nishitani’s historical analysis is the thought of Friedrich heinrich Jacobi, who famously raised the charge of Nihilism against Fichte’s philosophy in 1799. As is evident from a variety of Hegel’s texts, Hegel explicitly responds to Jacobi’s charge against speculative Idealism and designs his philosophy in part as a response to Jacobi’s charge of Nihilism. On the one hand, Nishitani fails to appreciate Hegel’s philosophy as a response to the problem of Nihilism because he has an incomplete possession of the history of the problem. On the other hand, Nishitani’s critique of Hegel begs the question. Nishitani’s dogmatic rejection of Hegel appears to be grounded in his methodological approach to the philosophy of history, which assumes the falsehood of Hegel’s account. Jacobi’s charge against speculative Idealism consists in the Idealist’s failure to account for the very existence of the world. On his view, philosophy is Nihilism because the world disappears completely from philosophical speculation. Hegel attempts to overcome this charge of Nihilism by re-thinking the structure and content of reason.

Background: Bone fracture frequencies and survival rates are essential parameters in skeleton evolution, but information on the functional consequences of naturally healed fractures is scarce. No leg bone fracture healing in the wild has been reported so far from long-legged Charadriiformes(waders), which depend on bipedal locomotion for ***: We documented a healed but malaligned tarsometatarsus fracture in a wild Willet(Tringa [Catoptrophorus]semipalmata), and a malaligned tibiotarsus fracture in a Curlew(Numenius arquata) skeleton from a museum collection. Functional consequences of the malalignments were evaluated by kinematic analyses of videos(Willet) and in silico 3D modeling(Curlew).Results: The Willet's left tarsometatarsus exhibited an angular malalignment of 70°, resulting in a limping gait that was less pronounced at high than at low walking speed. The bird seemed unable to club the toes of the left foot together, apparently a secondary effect of the deformity. The Curlew's tibiotarsus showed an angular and an axial malalignment, causing the foot to rotate outwards when the intertarsal joint was flexed. Despite the severe effects of their injuries, the birds had survived at least long enough for the fractures to heal ***: somewhat unexpectedly, leg fractures are not necessarily fatal in long-legged waders, even if deformities occur in the healing process. Bipedal locomotion on vegetated grounds must have been impeded due to the bone malalignments in both analyzed cases. The birds probably alleviated the impact of their handicaps by shifting a larger proportion of their activities to vegetation-free habitats.
