Transport of velocity alignment particles in random obstacles

We numerically investigate the trapping behaviors of aligning particles in two-dimensional （2D） random obstacles system. Under the circumstances of the effective diffusion rate and the average velocity tend to zero, particles are in trapped state. In this paper, we examine how the system parameters affect the trapping behaviors. At the large self-propelled speed, the ability of nematic particles escape from trapping state is enhancing rapidly, in the meanwhile the polar and free particles are still in trapped state. For the small rotation diffusion coefficient, the polar particles circle around （like vortices） the obstacles and here particles are in trapped state. Interestingly, only the partial nematic particles are trapped in the confined direction and additional particles remain flowing. In the free case, the disorder particle-particle collisions impede the motion in each other＇s directions, leading the free particles to be trapped. At the large rotation diffusion coefficient, the ordered motion of aligning particles disappear, particles fill the sample evenly and are self-trapped around obstacles. As the particles approach the trapping density due to the crowding effect the particles become so dense that they impede each other＇s motion. With the increasing number of obstacles, the trajectories of particles are blocked by obstacles, which obstruct the movement of particles. It is worth noting that when the number of the obstacles are large enough, once the particles are trapped, the system is permanently absorbed into a trapped state.

＜正＞ XLas （Extra Large Alpha s） is an alternatively spliced variant of Gas. the G protein alpha subunit that couples various extracellular stimuli to the activation of adenylyl cyclase. XLas is identical with Gas except for its long amino terminus and appears to share its functional properties such as receptor selectivity, bg binding and adenylyl cyclase activation. In this study, coupling properties of Gas and XLas to b2 adrenergic receptor （β2AR） and adenylyl cyclase are investigated in transfected hEK-293 cells. Adenylyl cyclase activity measurements show that, compared to Gas. Xlas exhibits a high basal and agonist-induced activity, both of which are enhanced by the increased expression of β2AR. Thus, spontaneous receptor activity of the β2AR seems to contribute to the basal activities of both Gas and XLas. however, while the basal activity of Gas can be inhibited by inverse agonists that suppress the spontaneous activity of the β2AR, the basal activity of XLas is insensitive to these ligands. This suggests that the conformation induced by these ligands is sensed as an inactive state by Gas but not by XLas. This study is supported partly by the research grants A. Treatment with Enterococcus faecalis CECT7121 Is Not Effective as Therapy in Mice with an Established Allergy status

In allergies, an unbalanced immune response towards a T helper (Th) 2 profile with high levels of Immunoglobulin (Ig) E is produced. We have demonstrated that the pre-administration of Enterococcus faecalis CECT7121 prevents the development of allergy in ovalbumin-immunized mice. In this work, we evaluated whether this bacterium can also revert an established allergic status. Mice were immunized with ovalbumin (OVA) and after that, were inoculated with an E. faecalis CECT7121 suspension. In immunized animals, serum specific immune response, proliferative activity of memory splenocytes, and levels of Th2 cytokines were assessed. The in vivo active cutaneous anaphylaxis test was also performed. The treatment with E. faecalis CECT7121 only increased anti-OVA IgG2a levels. No differences were observed in other specific immunological parameters. Probiotic-treatment did not prove to have any desensitizing effect on mice. These results, together with those recently published, can be concluded that this bacterium would not be appropriate for the treatment of allergic symptoms.

The present study was conducted to evaluate the impact of bimetallic nanoparticles(NPs)of copper(Cu)and zinc(Zn)from Crotalaria longirostrata on the insect mortality and cell viability of Phenacoccus *** biosynthesis of bimetallic nanoparticles(Cu/Zn-NPs)from *** was confirmed by the presence of a single peak around 378 *** hydrodynamic diameter of the Cu/Zn nanoparticles varied from 59 to 119 nm and their zeta potential was found to be−30.90 *** EDX analysis showed a strong signal for Cu and Zn(8 and 8.6 keV,respectively).The Cu/Zn-NPs showed an effective insecticide activity against *** with 63%of insect mortality after 96 h ***,further studies about nanotoxicity of Cu/Zn-NPs from *** are needed to reveal the exact mechanism of nanoparticles toxicity in insects.

Identification and Antimicrobial susceptibility of <i>Yersinia enterocolitica</i>Found in Chitterlings, Raw Milk and swine Fecal samples

Foodborne illness is an escalating concern upon public health. The prevalence of Yersinia enterocolitica was assessed in chitterlings, raw milk and swine fecal from North Carolina. Uncleaned thirty chitterling samples procured from a local grocery store, forty-five swine fecal samples, and forty unpasteurized cow milk samples supplied by the University farm were evaluated for the presence of Y. enterocolitica. Isolates identified as presumptive positive were characterized as colonies with a pink or deep-red center on MacConkey and CIN agar, and verified further through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for the presence of 16s rRNA gene for the Yersinia genera. Results showed that 4.4% swine fecal samples, 7.5% milk samples and 11.3% chitterling samples were presumptive positive for Y. enterocolitica by the direct plating method on selective agars. Of the thirty-chitterling samples examined by PCR for the 16s rRNA gene, 26% samples contained the identification gene for the bacteria of interest. After conducting virulence tests, the fecal samples were revealed as non-pathogenic. Only one of the milk samples were considered pathogenic and consisted of the following virulent genes: Yersinia heat-stable toxin (yst), invasion (inv), attachment invasion locus (ail), virulence regulon transcriptional activator (virF), Yersinia adehesin A (yadA), and the O:3 antigen gene (rfbC). seven out of the eight (87.5%) chitterling samples were shown to be pathogenic. Disc diffusion was conducted to determine the antimicrobial susceptibility of the isolates. Over half (55.5%) of the antimicrobial agents were found effective, with isolates being completely susceptible to ciprofloxacin, kanamycin, trimethoprim, cefotaxime, and gentamycin. Ampicillin was determined to be least effective, where 84.6% of the samples presented resistance to the drug. 目的探讨华支睾吸虫感染对FVB和BALB/c小鼠肝纤维化及DX5+NKT细胞的影响。方法解剖麦穗鱼,分离获取华支睾吸虫囊蚴,分别灌胃感染FVB和BALB/c小鼠。无菌分离小鼠肝脏、脾脏并采集外周血,hE和Masson染色法检测两种小鼠肝脏病理变化和纤维化程度,流式细胞术检测外周血淋巴细胞中DX5+NKT细胞的比例。结果华支睾吸虫囊蚴感染4周后,FVB小鼠肝脏和脾脏均明显增大,肝纤维化程度较BALB/c小鼠严重。感染组BALB/c小鼠肝脏中DX5+NKT细胞比例为(5.40±0.40)%,外周血为(3.44±0.60)%,脾脏(2.27±0.20)%,与对照组相比差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05),且在感染1、4.7周后均无明显变化。对照组FVB小鼠的DX5+NKT细胞在肝脏、脾脏和外周血中的水平相似,为1.5%左右。其中肝脏和外周血DX5+NKT细胞比例均显著低于对照组BALB/c小鼠(P0.05)。感染4周后,FVB小鼠肝脏DX5+NKT细胞比例为(3.54±0.15)%,对照组为(1.53±0.19)%,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01)。结论BALB/c和FVB小鼠感染华支睾吸虫后DX5+NKT细胞表现出不同的变化和分布,提示其可能在FVB小鼠肝纤维化中发挥作用。

Base on a NC grinding machine with two axes ganged function, an added single axis NC system is used for independent control of the dresser's rotation. With software to drive tow NC system work, it can also be used to precisely dress form wheel even if the groove section curve is deep or steep. A new type all-purpose NC wheel dresser with its work element and application example is introduced.

太湖是我国第三大淡水湖，面积２３５０ｋｍ２，位于长江三角洲（面积３５０００ｋｍ２）的中部，自６０００年前太湖形成以来，湖泊经历了几个主要变化。１９５０年以前，太湖最明显的变化发生在海侵和湖盆大小。海侵是太湖形成的主要原因。太湖形成后，在不同的干燥和湿润时期，湖盆经历了由一系列的小湖或统一湖盆之间的波动。但一般来说，近２０００年以来，湖盆的大小在增大。然而１９５０年以后，为适应人口的增长，许多浅水地带被改造成农田和鱼塘。５０年代以来，对湖盆和流域的进一步利用导致湖泊发生了一些变化。在这个阶段太湖的主要变化是：１）对排水流域、湖泊生态和营养状况具有重大影响的堤坝的修筑和湖岸的改造；２）始于１９８３／１９８４年湖泊的迅速富营养化。湖泊迅速富营养化的主要原因是由于工业、农业和城市化的迅速增长，导致未经处理的废水排入湖盆。每年这些营养物大量排入，对湖泊的营养状况影响甚重，在低水位时尤其如此。
