Wind turbines（WTs） are quite expensive pieces of equipment in power industry. Maintenance and repair is a critical activity which also consumes lots of time and effort, hence making it a costly affair. Carefully planning the maintenance based upon condition of the equipment would make the process reasonable. Mostly the WTs are equipped with some kind of condition monitoring device/system, which provides the information about the device to the central data base i.e., supervisory control and data acquisition（sCADA） data base. These devices/systems make use of data processing techniques/methods in order to detect and predict faults. The information provided by condition monitoring equipments keeps on recoding in the sCADA data base. This paper dwells upon the techniques/methods/algorithms developed, to carry out diagnosis and prognosis of the faults, based upon sCADA *** data driven approaching for sCADA data interpretation has been reviewed and an artificial intelligence（AI） based framework for fault diagnosis and prognosis of WTs using sCADA data is proposed.

On-time recognition and early control of the stresses in the paddy crops at the booting growth stage is the key to prevent qualitative and quantitative loss of agricultural *** conventional paddy crop stress recognition and classification activities invariably rely on human experts identifying visual symptoms as a means of *** process is admittedly subjective and error-prone,which in turn can lead to incorrect actions being taken in stress management *** work presented in this paper aims to design a deep convolutional neural network(DCNN)framework for automatic recognition and classification of various biotic and abiotic paddy crop stresses using the field *** has adopted the pre-trained VGG-16 CNN model for the automatic classification of stressed paddy crop images captured during the booting growth *** trained models achieve an average accuracy of 92.89%on the held-out dataset,demonstrating the technical feasibility of using the deep learning approach utilizing 30,000 field images of 5 different paddy crop varieties with 12 different stress categories(including healthy/normal).The proposed work finds applications in developing the decision support systems and mobile applications for automating the field crop and resource management practices.

The present work was aimed to the study of the antifungal activity of essential oils of two aromatic plants against three strains of sclerotinia sclerotiorum responsible for white rot of bean. The two essential oils (eO) of the studied plants: Thymus vulgaris (HeT) and Cymbopogon citratrus (HeC), used at different concentrations: C1 (0.75 ml/ml), C2 (1.5 ml/ml) and C3 (3 ml/ml) presented significant inhibitory activities on the three tested fungal strains namely Bia 1, Bia 2, and Njo 2. Two control treatments (T-: containing no antifungal substance and T+: synthetic fungicide) were also used. The antifungal activity here is related to the inhibition of mycelial growth especially with high concentrations of essential oils. Thus, against s. sclerotiorum, HeT showed the highest activity comparable to that of T+ (100% inhibition) at all concentrations on the Bia 1 and Bia 2 strains and at concentration C3 on the Njo 2 strain compared to that of HeC, which certainly inhibited the mycelial growth of the different strains considerably (with a maximum of 78.15% on the Njo 2 strain) but not completely. According to their sensitivity, the Bia 2 strain showed a higher sensitivity to essential oils than the others while the Njo 2 strain was more aggressive. On the basis of MICsub>50sub> and MICsub>90sub> obtained on the Njo 2 strain, the HeT turns out to be the most efficient with respective lower values of (1.73 and 23.34 ml/ml) against (4.76 and 26.03 ml/ml) for the HeC. These eO could thus be exploited as biodegradable antifungal substances, likely to control white rot of bean.

Background: streptococcus pyogenes (Group A streptococcus) is an important Gram-positive human pathogen affected the upper respiratory tract, such as the tonsils and pharynx, and is also induces post-infection diseases such as rheumatic fever and glomerulonephritis. This study aim to isolate streptococcus pyogenes from children with pharyngitis and to evaluate the molecular identification of s. pyogenes compared with conventional methods. Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted on total of 200 throat swab samples which were collected from children with pharyngitis referred to Wad medani Pediatric Teaching Hospital and Wad medani eNT hospital from January to November 2021. Demographic and clinical data were collected by questionnaire. Throat swabs were tested with the standard microbiological techniques to isolated Group A streptococcus (GAs). Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed to all GAs isolates using the Kirby Bauer disk diffusion method according to clinical laboratory standard institute (CLsI) guidelines. Additionally, PCR was used to identify spy 1258 gene of isolated bacteria. Results: From all throat swab samples screened, 51 isolates (25.5%) were identified as GAs. Antibiotic susceptibility testing revealed that all the GAs isolates were sensitive to Penicillin and Azithromycin. sensitivity to erythromycin, Gentamicin, Clarithromycin, Amoxicillin and Cephalexin were 88.2%, 86.3%, 45.1%, 41.2%, 13.7%, respectively. Based on PCR identification of spy 1258 gene the percentage of isolated bacteria was 21%. Conclusion: The rate of isolated streptococcus pyogenes was 25.5% by conventional methods and 21% by PCR. The bacteria were sensitive to Penicillin and Azithromycin. The spy 1258 gene was specific for detection of streptococcus pyogenes.

金沙江上游旭龙水电站库区滑坡堵江及涌浪风险研究

旭龙水电站库区岸坡陡峻,不良地质体发育,为确保水电站正常运行,准确评价不良地质体稳定性和滑坡堵江及涌浪风险至关重要。经工程地质测绘确定库区分布18处不良地质体,均为第四系堆积体,蓄水前稳定,不存在堵江风险。蓄水后有8处堆积体可能存在变形破坏,其中7处堆积体可能发生塌岸,规模小,不会堵江;16#堆积体可能发生滑坡,规模较大,可能堵江和产生涌浪。利用Geostudio软件对16#堆积体进行了稳定性分析,采用分析模拟法和潘家铮法对滑坡堵江风险进行了预测,并利用滑坡涌浪经验公式分析了涌浪对滑坡区、水库上下游岸坡和大坝的影响。结果表明,16#堆积体失稳不会造成堵江,滑坡涌浪不会影响大坝安全。研究思路与方法可为金沙江上游相关工程的风险预测提供借鉴。
