Hybrid Polymer Membrane Functionalized PBO Fibers/Cyanate Esters Wave‑Transparent Laminated Composites

Hybrid polymer membrane(TA-APTEs),synthesized by tannic acid(TA)and aminopropyl trethoxysilane(APTEs)based on the schif’s base and Michael addition reaction,is deposited on the surface of poly(p-phenylene-2,6-benzobisoxazole)(PBO)fbers,and then grafted with epoxy-terminated polysesquisiloxane(POss)to obtain POss-g-PBO@TA-APTEs *** POss-g-PBO@TA-APTEs fbers reinforced bisphenol A dicyanate ester(BADCy)resins(POss-g-PBO@TAAPTEs fbers/BADCy)wave-transparent laminated composites are *** interlaminar shear strength and fexural strength of POss-g-PBO@TA-APTEs fbers/BADCy composites are respectively enhanced from 36.7 and 587.4 MPa to 42.8 and 645.8 MPa,increased by 16.6%and 9.9%compared with those of PBO fbers/BADCy *** 1 MHz,the corresponding dielectric constant and dielectric loss are reduced to 2.85 and 0.0047,respectively,lower than those of PBO fbers/BADCy(3.06 and 0.006)***,the simulated wave transmittance rate of POss-g-PBO@TA-APTEs fbers/BADCy composites with the thicknesses of 1.5–3.5 mm is higher than 86.2%at 0.3–40 *** volume resistivity and breakdown strength of POss-g-PBO@TA-APTEs fbers/BADCy composites are 2.8×10^(15)Ω·cm and 19.80 kV/mm,higher than PBO fbers/BADCy composites(2.2×10^(15)Ω·cm and 17.69 kV/mm),*** the corresponding heat resistant index is 221.5℃,lower than PBO fbers/BADCy composites(229.6℃).

synthesis,Crystal structure and Luminescent Property of a New 3D supramolecular Compound(C_6 H_6NO_2)_3(C_6H_5NO_2)(PW_(12)O_(40))·2H_2O

A supramolecular compound （C6H6NO2）3（C6H5NO2）（PW12O40）·2H2O including the Keggin-type [PW1O40]3- polyanion, [HC6H5NO2]＋（protonated pyridine-4-carboxylic acid molecule）, C6H5NO2 （pyridine-4-carboxylic acid molecule） and two free H20 molecules has been synthesized by the hydrothermal method and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, single-crystal X-ray diffraction and powder X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to orthorhombic, space group Pnnm with a = 1.0483（3）, b = 1.4368（6）, c = 2.0526（7） nm, V= 3.0918（18） nm3,Z = 2, F（000） = 3004, Mr= 3406.07, Dc= 1.757 g.m-3,μ = 41.241 mm-1, the final R = 0.0387 and wR = 0.1089 for 2091 observed reflections withI〉 2σ（I）. A total of 30431 reflections were collected, of which 3083 were independent （Rint = 0.0605）. s is 1.182. The title compound presents a 3-D structure via intermolecular hydrogen bonds among [PW12O40]3- polyanions and pyridine-4-carboxylic acid ligands. The ultraviolet and luminescence spectra have been studied at room temperature, of which the purple fluorescent emission is located at 363 nm when excited at 264 nm. Fluorescent emission of the compound derives from the π-π＊ transitions in the pyridine-4-carboxylic acid ligands.

First complete genome sequence in Arborophila and comparative genomics reveals the evolutionary adaptation of Hainan Partridge(Arborophila ardens)

Background:The Hainan Partridge(Arborophila ardens,Phasianidae,Galliformes) is an endemic species of Hainan Island,China,and it is classified as globally vulnerable *** are at least 16 species in genus Arborophila and no genome sequence is ***:The whole genome of Hainan Partridge was de novo sequenced(with shotgun approach on the Illumina 2000 platform) and ***:The genome size of Arborophila ardens is about 1.05 Gb with a high N50 scaffold length of 8.28 Mb and it is the first high quality genome announced in Arborophila *** 9.19% of the genome was identified as repeat sequences and about 5.88 million heterozygous sNPs were detected.A total of 17,376 protein-coding genes were predicted and their functions were *** genome comparison between Hainan Partridge and Red Junglefowl(Gallus gallus) demonstrated a conserved genome *** phylogenetic analysis indicated that the Hainan Partridge possessed a basal phylogenetic position in Phasianidae and it was most likely derived from a common ancestor approximately 36.8 million years ago(Mya).We found that the Hainan Partridge population had experienced bottleneck and its effective population decreased from about 1,040,000 individuals 1.5 Mya to about 200,000 individuals 0.2 Mya,and then recovered to about 460,000 *** number of 1:1 orthologous genes that were predicted to have undergone positive selection in the Hainan Partridge was 504 and some environmental adaptation related categories,such as response to ultraviolet radiation were represented in GO distribution ***:We announced the first high quality genome in Arborophila genus and it will be a valuable genomic resource for the further studies such as evolution,adaption,conservation,not only on Hainan Partridge but also on Arborophila or Phasianidae species.

Enhancer RNAs: A missing regulatory layer in gene transcription

Enhancers and super-enhancers exert indispensable roles in maintaining cell identity through spatiotemporally regulating gene ***,active enhancers and super-enhancers also produce transcripts termed enhancer RNAs(eRNAs) from their DNA *** enhancers have been identified for more than 30 years,widespread transcription from enhancers are just discovered by genome-wide sequencing and considered as the key to understand longstanding questions in gene ***-transcribed enhancers are marked by histone modifications such as H3K4m1/2 and H3K27Ac,and enriched with transcription regulatory factors such as LDTFs,P300,CBP,BRD4 and *** regulatory factors might constitute a Mega-Trans-like complex to potently activate *** to mRNAs,eRNAs are quite unstable and play roles at ***,it has been shown that e RNAs promote formation of enhancer-promoter *** studies also demonstrated that eRNAs help the binding of RNA polymerase II(RNAPII) or transition of paused RNAPII by de-association of the negative elongation factor(NELF) ***,these proposed mechanisms are not universally accepted and still under ***,we comprehensively summarize the reported findings and make perspectives for future *** also believe that super-enhancer derived RNAs(seRNAs) might be informative to understand the nature of super-enhancers.

Bonding Characteristics and Magnetic Coupling Interactions in One-dimensional α′-NaV_2O_5

The spin-polarized generalized gradient approximation（GGA）＋U approach was employed to study the bonding characteristics and magnetic coupling interactions in room-temperature phase α＇-NaV2O5. The calculated resuits indicate that the Vdry orbital is split off from other 3d orbitals in the VO5 pyramidal ligand field. The Vdry orbitals are hybridized strongly with the Opx/py orbitals, forming a V--O--V π bond in the ab plane. The ligand field effect together with the intra-atomic exchange splitting results in the insulating behavior. With the aid of Noodleman＇s bro- ken symmetry methods, the magnetic exchange constant was derived from mapping the relative energies onto the Heisenberg model. The antiferromagnetic（AFM） exchange energy, d, along the chain was calculated to be -593 K in good agreement with the experimental data.

A recently developed time-resolved coherent anti-stokes Raman scattering(tr-CARs) technique allows the measurement of vibrational coherences with high frequency differences with the ambient *** method is based on the short spatial extension of femtosecond pulses with a broadband tunable nonlinear optical parametric amplifier(NOPA) and an internal time delay between the probe and pump/stokes pulse pair in the CARs *** different beat frequencies between Raman modes can be selectively detected as oscillations in the tr-CARs transient signal with the broadband tunable *** this work,we aim at the Raman C-H stretching vibrations from 2800 cm 1 to 3000 cm 1,within which the different vibrational modes in both ethanol and methanol are selectively excited and simultaneously *** high time resolution of the experimental set-up allows one to monitor the vibrational coherence dynamics and to observe the quantum beat phenomena on a terahertz *** investigation indicates that the femtosecond tr-CARs technique is a powerful tool for the real-time monitoring and detection of molecular and biological agents,including airborne contaminants such as bacterial spores,viruses and their toxins.

Effect of indirect non-thermal plasma on particle size distribution and composition of diesel engine particles

To explore the effect of the gas source flow rate on the actual diesel exhaust particulate matter（PM）, a test bench for diesel engine exhaust purification was constructed, using indirect nonthermal plasma technology. The effects of different gas source flow rates on the quantity concentration, composition, and apparent activation energy of PM were investigated, using an engine exhaust particle sizer and a thermo-gravimetric analyzer. The results show that when the gas source flow rate was large, not only the maximum peak quantity concentrations of particles had a large drop, but also the peak quantity concentrations shifted to smaller particle sizes from 100 nm to 80 nm. When the gas source flow rate was 10L min^-1, the total quantity concentration greatly decreased where the removal rate of particles was 79.2%, and the variation of the different mode particle proportion was obvious. Non-thermal plasma（NTP） improved the oxidation ability of volatile matter as well as that of solid carbon. However, the NTP gas source rate had little effects on oxidation activity of volatile matter, while it strongly influenced the oxidation activity of solid carbon. Considering the quantity concentration and oxidation activity of particles, a gas source flow rate of 10L min^-1 was more appropriate for the purification of particles.

Eurasian otters prefer to prey on religious released nonnative fish on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau

Religious wildlife release is prevalent worldwide,especially in Asia *** is one of the anthropogenic pathways to cause biological *** fish release is common on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau,yet few studies have assessed the influences of religious fish release on local ***,a city on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau,we interviewedlocal people,conducted fish trap surveys in local rivers,and exam-ined the diet of Eurasian otters Lutra lutra using a fecal DNA metabarcoding *** found that fish release started at least in 1980-1990s in *** residents released fish in large amounts and released fish were usually exotic commercial fish purchased from *** such long-term and intensive fish release activities,released fish were few in local *** the other hand,Eurasian otters mainly prey on fish and released fish accounted for~20%of relative read abundance of prey DNA in otters'diet,indicating their high preference on released *** study suggested that religious fish release may provide additional food resources for otters,whereas otters,as a top predator in local rivers,may deplete non-native fish once they were released and,therefore,reduce the probability of colonization of released fish,although further studies are required to assess otters'*** study revealed otters'diet in Yushu,providing basic information for local otter management and ***,it represents a case showing that native predators prey on religious released animals,implying a probable direction forcontrolling invasive species through nativepredator conservation.
