The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has had a tremendous adverse impact on the global health system,public sector,and social *** is unarguably the worst pandemic of the ***,COVID-19 management is a mystery in front of us,and an authentic treatment is urgently *** repurposed drugs,like ivermectin,remdesivir,tocilizumab,baricitinib,etc.,have been used to treat COVID-19,but none are *** therapy and their combinations are emerging modalities for treating moderate COVID-19,and they have shown the potential to reduce *** antibody monotherapy,bamlanivimab,and two cocktails,casirivimab/imdevimab and bamlanivimab/esterivimab,have received authorization for emergency use by the United states Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of mild COVID-19 in high risk *** European Emergency has made similar recommendations for use of the drug in COVID-19 patients without oxygen *** brief review will focus on monoclonal antibodies and their combination cocktail therapy in managing COVID-19 infection.

Road traffic accidents in hilly regions of northern India: What has to be done?

BACKGROUND: Road traffi c accidents(RTA) are responsible for 1.2 million deaths worldwide each year. RTA will become the 3rd largest contributor to the global burden of diseases after ischemic heart diseases(IHD) and depression. We conducted a retrospective study on RTA in a tertiary center in the hilly district of Uttarakhand in ***: The number of RTA, pattern of RTA, the number of patients killed and injured, the pattern of injury causing death and disability, the severity of accidents, and the type of disability were noted from December 2009 to November 2011. The accident severity was calculated as the number of patients killed per 100 accidents. The methods for reducing the incidence of RTA were observed, and the role of policy makers was ***: The majority of deaths and disabilities in Uttarakhand were due to road traffic accidents in the hilly districts of the states. The most common cause of RTA was driving fault followed by defective ***: proper designing of roads and minimizing the fault of drivers are essential to prevent road traffi c accidents in hilly regions.

Large scale Multiplication of Casuarina junghuhniana Miq. Clonal plants through Mini-cutting Technique

The modern concept of meeting the customer’s requirements in better products at low costs in a sustainable manner is.p.ssible only through innovative *** nodal cutting technique is the most widely used method for large scale propagation of Casuarina,Eucalyptus and other pulpwood species in *** Nadu Newsprint and papers Limited(TNpL)has started large scale multiplication of Casuarina junghuhniana *** mini-cutting technique from indoor clonal mini hedges raised in sand *** compared to stem/nodal cuttings,indoor clonal mini hedges raised in sand beds improve the rooting potential,quality of root systems and are time-and *** productivity of cuttings is increased five times in indoor clonal hedge orchard than conventional stem/nodal *** rooting percentage also improved to 90%without rooting hormone whereas the same is only 50%in stem *** plant developed through mini-cutting technique has more lateral root system which helps the plants/trees to withstand during heavy *** such stump derived stock plants by intensively managing indoor sand bed clonal mini hedges resulted in a noticeable enhancement of cutting capacity for adventitious rooting as well as the overall quality of the plants.p.oduced in much shorter period with easier and cheaper *** study reveals that mini-cutting method is ideal propagation technique for large scale propagation of *** clones in India.

The unique properties of bulk metallic glass(BMG)render it an excellent material for bone-implant *** samples are difficult to produce directly because of the critical cooling rate of *** in additive manufacturing technologies,such as selective laser melting(sLM),have enabled the development of *** successful production of materials via sLM relies significantly on the processing parameters;meanwhile,the overall energy density affects the crystallization and,thus,the final ***,to further determine the effects of the processing parameters,sLM is.p.rformed in this study to print Fe-based BMG with different properties three dimensionally using selected processing parameters but a constant energy *** printed amorphous Fe-based BMG outperforms the typical 316 L stainless steel(316 L ss)in terms of mechanical properties and corrosion ***,observations from nanoindentation tests indicate that the hardness and elastic modulus of the Fe-based BMG can be customized explicitly by adjusting the sLM processing *** cytotoxicity results show that the Fe-based BMG can enhance the viability of sAOs2 cells,as compared with 316 L *** intriguing results show that Fe-based BMG should be investigated further for orthopedic implant applications.

A novel role of chitosan in reducing vascular access bleeding complications after transradial angiography

To investigate the safety and efficacy of chitosan ( Anscare,Daxon) in reducing vascular ac cess complications compared to a kind of radial compression device( TR-BAND,Terumo) . Method: We studied 128 patients who had undergone transradial angiography in our center from December 2009 to April 2010. Among them,64 patients were randomly treated with radial compression device ( TR-BAND,Terumo) when the procedure was over ( CD group) . The other 64 patients were dealt with chitosan ( Cs group) . The compression time,the major and minor access site bleeding complications and the errhysis were observed. Results: There were no statistical differences in the baseline clinical characteristics of the patients between two groups. The compression time in Cs group was significantly shorter than that of CD group ( p patients suffering from minor access site bleeding while only 3 patients experienced these minor complications in Cs group( 19% vs 4% ,p same time 20 patients had er- rhysis in CD group and 4 patients in Cs group ( 31% vs 6% ,p sion: Chitosan,compared to radial compression device ( TR-BAND,Terumo) ,can not only shorten the compression time,but also significantly reduce the rate of minor access site bleeding and puncture-site errhyis.

目的　探讨儿童汉语阅读障碍 (RD)的脑血流改变与阅读技能诊断测试 (CRsDT)评分的关系。方法　用非采血法spECT显像测定 2 5例RD患儿和 2 0例正常对照者全脑血流量 (CBF)、左右脑血流量及局部脑血流量 (rCBF)。CRsDT测得阅读技能总粗分 (TRs) ,并分析TRs与CBF间的关系。结果　患儿组CBF为 (38.87± 3.77)mL·10 0g- 1 ·min- 1 ,明显低于对照组 [(4 3.6 5± 2 6 4)mL·10 0g- 1 ·min- 1 ,p 顶枕交界区 >颞叶 >顶叶 >丘脑>其他 (小脑、脑干、基底节 ) ,RD组TRs与CBF呈明显正相关 (r为 0 .6 5 1,p spECT脑血流显像及定量测定能够客观评价其病变的严重程度。
