Woody species composition,structure and environmental determinants in a moist evergreen Afromontane forest,southern Ethiopia

Ethiopian moist evergreen Afromontane forests are vital for the conservation of plant diversity,including genetic pools of Coffea arabica ***,these forests are continuously shrinking and need empirical scientific studies for their effective conservation and sustainable *** study was,therefore,conducted to assess woody species composition,diversity,endemicity,structure,plant communities,and environmental determinants in sirso moist evergreen Afromontane forest of southern *** variables such as altitude,slope,aspect,disturbance levels,and geographical location were recorded for each main *** structure and importance value index(IVI),diversity,vegetation classification,and correlation with environmental factors were analyzed.A total of 74 woody species representing 70 genera and 34 families were *** species were *** glutinosa *** *** and Prunus africana(Hook.f.)*** species categorized as vulnerable according to the IUCN red list *** highest number of species was recorded for the Rubiaceae family(8),followed by Euphorbiaceae(6),and Asteraceae(6).Five plant communities were identified:Maesa lanceolata-Dombeya torrida,Galiniera saxifraga-Cyathea manniana,Vepris dainellii-Triumfetta tomentosa,Dracaena fragrans-Rytigynia neglecta,and Arundinaria *** distribution of these communities depends on altitude,slope,and disturbance *** guineense(Wild.)DC.,schefflera abyssinica(*** ***.)Harms,and Galiniera saxifraga(Hochst.)Bridson were species with the highest IVI,while ***,Cordia africana Lam.,Hagenia abyssinica(Bruce)***,Bridelia micrantha(Hochst.)Baill.,and *** had the *** structure of woody species showed an inverted J-shape,a J-shape,a bell-shape,and an irregular shaped *** latter three population structure revealed signs of disturbances,and were negatively correlated with altitude and *** study sh

Consortium Chain Consensus Vulnerability and Chain Generation Mechanism

Effectively identifying and preventing the threat of Byzantine nodes to the security of distributed systems is a challenge in applying consortium ***,this paper proposes a new consortium chain generation model,deeply analyzes the vulnerability of the consortium chain consensus based on the behavior of the nodes,and points out the effects of Byzantine node proportion and node state verification on the consensus process and system ***,the normalized verification node aggregation index that represents the consensus ability of the consortium organization and the trust evaluation function of the verification node set is *** either of the two is lower than the threshold,the consortium institution or the verification node set members are dynamically *** this basis,an innovative consortium chain generation mechanism based on the Asynchronous Binary Byzantine Consensus Mechanism(ABBCM)is *** on the extended consortium chain consensus mechanism,a certain consensus value set can be combined into multiple proposals,which can realize crossdomain asynchronous message passing between multi-consortium chains without reducing the system’s *** addition,experiments are carried out under four classical Byzantine Attack(BA)behaviors,BA1 to *** results show that the proposed method can obtain better delay than the classical random Byzantine consensus algorithm Coin,effectively improving the consensus efficiency based on asynchronous message passing in the consortium chain and thus meeting the throughput of most Internet of Things(IoT)applications.

Tracking people through partial occlusions

This article presents a novel people-tracking approach to cope with partial occlusions caused by scene objects. Instead of predicting when and where the occlusions will occur, a part-based model is used to model the pixel distribution of the target body under occlusion. The subdivided patches corresponding to a template image will be tracked independently using Markov chain Monte Carlo （MCMC） method. A set of voting-based rules is established for the patch-tracking result to verify if the target is indeed located at the estimated position. Experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Preparation, Characterization of superacid sO_4^(2-)/ZrO_2-siO_2 and Its Activity on Catalytic synthesis of Methyl p-Nitrobenzoate

solid superacid sO42-/ZrO2-siO2 was prepared by dip-impregnation method, and its catalytic activity was tested with esterification of p-nitrobenzoic acid and methanol. The optimum conditions were also found, that is, the molar ratio between silica and zirconia was 10：1, the calcination temperature was 550 ℃ and the soaked consistency of H2sO4 was 1.0 mol.L-1. Under the conditions that the ratio of methanol to aeid（mL/ g） was 12：1, the amount of catalyst was 0.5 g, the reaction time was 5 h and the stirring speed was 800 ***-1, the yield of methyl p-nitrobenzoate could reach up to 90.5%. Then the characterizations of cataslyst, including the acidity and types of acidic centers, specific surface area and surface structure was respectively examined by Hammer indicator, in-situ pyridine IR, BET method, FT-IR（kBr）, transmission electron microscope （TEM）, and X-ray diffraction （XRD）. The results showed that the catalyst sO42-/ZrO2-siO2 was superacid with high specific surface area due to Ho〈-12.70. It contained acidic sites of Lewis and BrФnsted, and its surface structure changed after esterification. The zirconia crystal was mainly tetragonal and silica crystal was not found.

Circulating levels of vitamin D and colorectal adenoma: A case-control study and a meta-analysis

AIM: To examine the association between circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] levels and colorectal adenoma in a case-control study and a meta-analysis. METHODs: We conducted a matched case-control study(112 cases and 112 matched controls) and combined 15 studies, including our study, in a metaanalysis. The study-specific odds ratios(ORs) and 95% confidence intervals(CIs) were pooled using a randomeffects model. In total, 5454 colorectal adenomas and 6656 controls were included in the meta-analysis. REsULTs: In a meta-analysis including 14 previous studies and our study, we observed a significant inverse association between circulating 25(OH)D levels and colorectal adenoma(OR = 0.68; 95%CI: 0.54-0.82) when comparing the highest category with the lowest category. stratification by adenoma location(proximal or distal adenoma) showed similar estimates. When we stratified by study region, the ORs(95%CIs) were 0.70(0.52-0.88) in the Us and 0.66(0.34-0.97) in Asia. CONCLUsION: These data suggest an inverse association between circulating 25(OH) Dlevels and colorectal adenoma in both Western and Asian populations.

Mercury Concentration Profile in sediment Cores of a Tropical Lagoon under high Anthropogenic Activities around an Urban City—Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire

The present study focuses on the quantification of mercury in sediment cores from Cocody, Banco, koumassi and Milliardaires bays in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. It aims at assessing the state of mercury contamination of the lagoon bottom using DMA-80 (Direct Mercury Analyser). The automatic analyzer DMA-80 mercury is an innovative instrument for the analysis of mercury at very low content in solid and liquid samples in five minutes, without requiring any prior steps of pretreatment wet. The results showed, according to the lithological description of different bays, that the cored sediments consist of mud, sand, sandy mud or muddy sand with occasional shells. In addition, our results showed the presence of mercury in the sediments of the lagoon bottom at a degree of contamination that varies from moderate to very high according to the calculated contamination factor (CF) values. The highest contamination was observed in Cocody Bay at the surface with a contamination factor of 7.5, while the lowest contamination was observed in Milliardaires Bay at the water-sediment interface with a contamination factor of 1.67. In addition, mercury concentrations compared to sediment guide values (sQGs) reveal that these sediments mostly show occasional biological effects but no toxicity except koumassi core (sediments at 20 cm depth). Also, dredging, hydrodynamics have probably impacted the mercury content. The depositional environment of mercury metal is therefore a limiting factor for its fate in the aquatic environment.
