The stability study of the ongoing and recurring Amalpata landslide in Baglung in Nepal’s Gandaki Province is presented in this research. The impacted slope is around 200 meters high, with two terraces that have different slope inclinations. The lower bench, located above the basement, consistently fails and sets others up for failure. The fluctuating water level of the slope, which travels down the slope masses, exacerbates the slide problem. The majority of these rocks are Amalpata landslide area experiences several structural disruptions. The area’s stability must be evaluated in order to prevent and control more harm from occurring to the nearby agricultural land and people living along the slope. The slopes’ failures increase the damages of house existing in nearby area and the erosion of the slope. Two modeling techniques the finite element approach and the limit equilibrium method were used to simulate the slope. The findings show that, in every case, the terrace above the basement is where the majority of the stress is concentrated, with a safety factor of near unity. Using probabilistic slope stability analysis, the failure probability was predicted to be between 98.90% and 100%.

AIM： To evaluate the clinical and biochemical profile of patients with non alcoholic fatty liver disease （NAFLD） and to assess their histological severity at ***： Consecutive patients presenting to the liver clinic of All India Institute of Medical sciences （AIIMs） with raised transaminases to at least 1.5 times upper limit of normal, and histologically confirmed non-alcoholic fatty liver disease were included. Patients who had significant alcohol intake or positive markers of other liver diseases or who were taking drugs.known to produce fatty liver were excluded. The clinical, biochemical and histological profile of this group was studied. REsULTs： Fifty-one patients with NAFLD formed the study population. Their median age and BMI were 34（17-58） years and 26.7（21.3-32.5） kg/m^2 respectively and 46 （90.1%） were males. The majority of the patients had mild inflammation, either grade 1 [32 （63%）] or grade 2 [16 （31%）] and only 3 （6%） patients had severe （grade 3） inflammation. Twenty-three （45%）, 19 （37%）, 8（16%） and 1（2%） patient had stage 0, 1, 2 and 3 fibrosis respectively on index biopsy and none had cirrhosis. On univariate analysis, triglyceride levels more than 150 mg % （OR = 7.1; 95% CI： 1.6-31.5, P = 0.002） and AsT ALT ratio 〉 1 （OR = 14.3; 95% CI： 1.4-678.5, P = 0.008） were associated with high grades of inflammation and none was associated with advanced fibrosis. On multivariate logistic regression analysis, hypertriglyceridemia 〉150 mg% was the only factor independently associated with presence of high grade of inflammation （OR = 1.6; 95% CI： 1.3-22.7, P =0.02）, while none was associated with advanced fibrosis. Triglyceride levels correlated positively with inflammatory grade （r = 0.412; P = 0.003）. CONCLUsION： NAFLD in North Indian patients is a disease of young over-weight males, most of whom are insulin resistant and they tend to have a mild histological disease at presentation.

AIM： Passive immunotherapy using antibody against hepatitis B surface antigen （HBsAg） has been advocated in certain cases of Hepatitis B infection. We had earlier reported on the cloning and expression of a high affinity scFv derived from a mouse monoclonal （5s） against HBsAg. However this mouse antibody cannot be used for therapeutic purposes as it may elicit anti-mouse immune responses. Chimerization by replacing mouse constant domains with human ones can reduce the immunogenicity of this antibody.METHODs： We cloned the VH and V, genes of this mouse antibody, and fused them with CH1 domain of human IgG1 and C, domain of human kappa chain respectively. These chimeric genes were cloned into a phagemid vector. After initial screening using the phage display system, the chimeric Fab was expressed in soluble form in E. coli.REsULTs： The chimeric Fab was purified from the bacterial periplasmic extract. We characterized the chimeric Fab using several in vitro techniques and it was observed that the chimeric molecule retained the high affinity and specificity of the original mouse monoclonal. This chimeric antibody fragment was further expressed in different strains of E. coli to increase the yield.CONCLUsION： We have generated a mouse-human chimeric Fab against HBsAg without any significant loss in binding and epitope specificity. This chimeric Fab fragment can be further modified to generate a fulllength chimeric antibody for therapeutic uses.

Vibration of an infinite inhomogeneous transversely isotropic viscoelastic medium with cylindrical hole

This paper investigates the influences of higher order viscoelasticity and the inhomogeneities of the transversely isotropic elastic parameters on the disturbances in an infinite medium, caused by the presence of a transient radial force or twist on the surface of a cylindrical hole with circular cross section. Following Voigt＇s model for higher order viscoelasticity, the nonvanishing stress components valid for a transversely isotropic and higher order viscoelastic solid medium have been deduced in terms of radial displacement component. Considering the power law variation of elastic and viscoelastic parameters, the stress equation of motion has been developed. solving this equation under suitable boundary conditions, due to transient forces and twists, radial displacement and relevant stress components have been determined in terms of modified Bessel functions. The problem for the presence of transient radial force has been numerically analysed. Modulations of displacement and stresses due to different order of viscoelasticity and inhomogeneity have been graphically depicted. The numerical study of the disturbance caused by the presence of twist on the surface may be similarly done but is not pursued in this paper.

This work provides a comprehensive theoretical analysis of MHD unsteady free convection viscoelastic fluid flow through a porous medium. The medium is treated as incompressible and optically transparent. The flow of the fluid is initiated by shearing action of the moving wall with time dependent suction. Radiative heat flow is considered in temperature equation. The coupled nonlinear problem has been solved asymptotically. Approximate solutions have been obtained for the mean velocity, mean temperature using multi parameter perturbation technique. The originality of the present study is to investigate the effect of viscoelastic property of the fluid（Walters B？ model） on the flow and heat transfer phenomena when the flow is permeated through a porous medium with uniform porous matrix subject to transverse magnetic field and time dependent fluctuative suction at the boundary surface. The case of viscous flow has been discussed as a particular case on comparison with the result reported earlier and it is in good agreement. Flow reversal is indicated incase of viscoelastic fluid with high heat capacity in the presence of magnetic field. The higher cooling of the plate in case of viscoelastic flow also causes a flow reversal.

Adsorption kinetics of the herbicide safeners,benoxacor and furilazole,to activated carbon and agricultural soils

Chloroacetamide herbicides,namely acetochlor and metolachlor,are common herbicides used on corn and soybean *** safeners,namely benoxacor and furilazole,are commonly used in formulations containing chloroacetamide *** reports on adsorption of chloroacetamide herbicides are available,yet little information exists regarding adsorption potential of co-applied ***,the adsorption and desorption characteristics of selected herbicide safeners to granular activated carbon(GAC) and in agricultural soils are ***,soil column studies were performed to understand the leaching behaviour of the herbicide Dual II *** sorption experiments of safeners to three agricultural soils and one GAC showed that adsorption was best fitted by the Freundlich *** Freundlich adsorption constant,kf,for benoxacor and furilazole sorption onto three agricultural soils ranged from0.1 to 0.27 and 0.1 to 0.13(mg/g) x(mg/L)(1/n),*** kf for benoxacor and furilazole to GAC was 6.4 and 3.4(mg/g) x(mg/L)(1/n),respectively,suggesting more favorable sorption of benoxacor to GAC than furilazole to *** sorption to soils was reversible as almost 40%-90% of both safeners was desorbed from three *** results were validated in four replicated soil column studies,where s-metolachlor was shown to leach similarly to the safener benoxacor,originating from the herbicide *** leaching of s-metolachlor and benoxacor was influenced by soil ***,these results show that safeners will move through the environment to surface waters similarly to the active ingredients in herbicides,but may be removed during drinking water treatment via GAC.

With the known evidence that potential connected vehicle(CV)users are worried about sharing data because of the associated data privacy and security issues,this study investigates the importance of the reputation of the data manager(who collects,stores,and owns the data)of CV technology(CVT).Based on a questionnaire survey of 2400 Us adults,this study asserts that the data manager's reputation has a significant impact on the public perception of data privacy and security issues in CVT along with overall CV *** results show that data privacy issues have a more negative impact on CV acceptance than data security *** addition,the reputation of a data manager has a bigger role in the eyes of the public in shaping their perception of data privacy in comparison to data *** on the results,the public considers data privacy as the responsibility of the data manager to protect their data from unauthorized/illegal third-party access,whereas data security is the technological strength of CVT to protect the data from ***,it is recommended that CV stakeholders take actions to improve potential CV users'confidence in the privacy of data shared by disclosing the data management process,data privacy protection efforts,building public trust in the data manager,and introducing/enforcing laws regarding data privacy protection.
