We report the detection of aγ-ray bubble spanning at least 100deg2 in ultra-high energy(UhE)up to a few PeV in the direction of the star-forming region Cygnus X,implying the presence super PeVatron(s)accelerating protons to at least 10 PeV.A log-parabola form with the photon indexΓ(E)=(2.71±0.02)+(0.11±0.02)×log10(E/10 TeV)is found fitting the gamma-ray energy spectrum of the bubble *** sources,“hot spots”correlated with very massive molecular clouds,and a quasi-spherical amorphousγ-ray emitter with a sharp central brightening are observed in the *** the core of~0.5°,spatially associating with a region containing massive OB association(Cygnus OB2)and a microquasar(Cygnus X-3),as well as previously reported multi-TeV sources,an enhanced concentration of UhEγ-rays is observed with 2 photons at energies above 1 *** general feature of the bubble,the morphology,and the energy spectrum,are reasonably reproduced by the assumption of a particle accelerator in the core,continuously injecting protons into the ambient medium.

The effect of compressive stress on the stability of reversed austenite in gNi steel was investigated by uni- axial and hydrostatic compression. It was found that the uniaxial compressive pressure promoted the Υ-α transformation, while the hydrostatic pressure suppressed the -Υ-α transformation. The pressure dependent transformation behavior can be explained according to thermodynamic analysis.

Kirigami, the ancient Japanese paper cutting technique, has been applied to achieve high stretchability and low energy loss of designed metallic glass. Despite the exploration of the underlying deformation mechanism of kirigami-inspired structures from the energy point of view, the morphable responses of the kirigami patterns and the origin of the kirigami response are yet to be fully understood. This study reveals the mechanical driven-forms of the kirigami structure with the corresponding deformation stages. Based on the beam deflection theory, the elastic buckling behavior of kirigami metallic glass is manifested and a critical force prediction model is developed. Moreover, a force concentration parameter is introduced in the rigid-plastic deformation stage, predicting the nominal ultimate force. The kirigami-inspired facture force is firstly proposed. The findings of these models are in good agreement with the experimental sizedependent kirigami responses, and expected to provide significant insights into the understanding of the deformation behavior and the design of kirigami metallic glasses.

The full array of the Large high Altitude Air shower Observatory(LhAAsO)has been in operation since July *** its kilometer-square array(KM2A),we optimized the selection criteria for very high and ultrahigh energyγ-rays using data collected from August 2021 to August 2022,resulting in an improvement in significance of the detection in the Crab Nebula of approximately 15%,compared with that of previous *** the implementation of these new selection criteria,the angular resolution was also significantly improved by approximately 10%at tens of *** aspects of the full KM2A array performance,such as the pointing error,were also calibrated using the Crab *** resulting energy spectrum of the Crab Nebula in the energy range of 10-1000 TeV are well fitted by a log-parabola model,which is consistent with the previous results from LhAAsO and other experiments.

In this paper,we present calculations based on density functional theory using generalized gradient approximation(GGA)in double perovskite structure La_(2)BB'O_(6)(B,B'=3d transition metal)out of 45(C_(2)^(10))combinational *** 4 types of magnetic states,namely,ferromagnetic(FM),ferrimagnetic(FiM),antiferromagnetics(AF),and nonmagnetic(NM)with full structure optimization,13 possible surviving,stable FM/FiM-hM materials containing 6 FM-hM materials(La_(2)scNiO_(6),La_(2)CrCoO_(6),La_(2)CrNiO_(6),La_(2)VscO_(6),La_(2)VZnO_(6),and La_(2)VNiO_(6))and 7 FiM-hM materials(La_(2)VFeO_(6),La_(2)ZnCoO_(6),La_(2)TiCoO_(6),La_(2)CrZnO_(6),La_(2)CrMnO_(6),La_(2)scFeO_(6),and La_(2)TiMnO_(6))are *** the correlation effect(GGA+U),there are 6 possible half-metallic stable,surviving(hM)materials containing 3 FMhM materials(La_(2)scNiO_(6),La_(2)CrCoO_(6),and La_(2)CrNiO_(6))and 3 FiM-hM materials(La_(2)VFeO_(6),La_(2)ZnCoO_(6),and La_(2)TiCoO_(6)).

A search was made for possible half-metallic(hM)antiferromagnet(AFM)in all the(C_(2)^(92)=406)double perovskites structures of sr2BB′O6 where BB′pairs are any combination of 3d,4d or 5d transition elements with the exception of *** can also be replaced by Ca or Ba whenever hM-AFM was found and similar calculations were then performed in order to probe further *** was found that A_(2)MoOsO_(6),A_(2)TcReO_(6),A_(2)CrRuO_(6),where A=Ca,sr,Ba,are all potential candidates for *** AFM of A2BB′O6 comes from both the superexchange mechanism and the generalized double exchange mechanism via the B(t2g)-O2pp-B′(t2g)coupling,With the latter also being the origin of their *** considered were the effects of spin-orbit coupling(sOC)and correlation(+U)by introducing+sOC and+U *** is found that the sOC effect has much less influence than the correlation effect on the hMproperty of the *** A_(2)TcReO_(6)and A_(2)CrRuO_(6),after+U,they become *** the future,it is hoped that therewill be further experimental confirmation for these possible hM-AFMcandidates.

The formation of shear bands in metallic glasses(MGs)was examined by tailoring localized complex stress fields(LCsFs).The findings have shown that the LCsFs in MGs can increase the localization of strained atoms and accelerate the release of accumulated deformation energy for initiating a shear band in confined and thin-layered *** findings not only add more knowledge to the formation mechanisms of shear bands in MGs,but also provide possible rationale for the discrepancies in the mechanical properties of different-sized *** compared with the bulk samples,the higher strength and larger elastic limits in nanoscaled MGs could be attributed to the elimination of stress-concentrators,which can serve as LCsFs.

This paper proposes a critical clearing time (CCT) estimation method by the domain of attraction (DA) of a state-reduction model of power systems using sum of squares (sOs) programming. By exploiting the property of the Jacobian matrix and the structure of the boundary of the DA, it is found the DA of the state-reduction model and that of the full model of a power system are topological isomorphism. There are one-to-one correspondence relationships between the number of equilibrium points, the type of equilibrium points, and solutions of the two system models. Based on these findings, an expanding interior algorithm is proposed with sOs programming to estimate the DA of the state-reduction model. state trajectories of the full model can be transformed to those of the state-reduction model by orthogonal or equiradius projection. In this way, CCT of a grid fault is estimated with the DA of the state-reduction model. The calculational burden of sOs programming in the DA estimation using the state-reduction model is rather small compared with using the full model. simulation results show the proposed expanding interior algorithm is able to provide a tight estimation of DA of power systems with higher accuracy and lower time costs.
