Chalcogen-dependent catalytic properties of RuX2 (X = s/se/Te) nanoparticles decorated carbon nanofibers for hydrogen evolution in acidic and alkaline media

Transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs),with the general formula MX_(2)(M=Mo/W/Fe/Co/Ni,etc.;X=s/se/Te),have attracted extensive research interests for hydrogen evolution reaction(hER).Compared with numerous studies on noble-metal-free TMDs,the chalcogen-dependent hER catalytic properties of noble-metal-based TMDs are lack of sufficient research ***,a facile electrospinning-assisted synthetic strategy is proposed to synthesize ruthenium dichalcogenides(RuX_(2),X=s/se/Te)nanoparticles decorated carbon nanofibers(CNFs).Benefiting from the identical nanofibrous morphology and exposed crystal planes of RuX_(2)(111),the catalytic activities of RuX_(2)@CNFs samples were investigated and compared in a fair and direct *** electrochemical measurements coupled with density functional theory calculations were carried out to probe their intrinsic hER catalytic activities,resulting in the catalytic activity order of Rus_(2)@CNFs>Ruse_(2)@CNFs>RuTe_(2)@CNFs in acidic media and that of Rus_(2)@CNFs>RuTe_(2)@CNFs>Ruse_(2)@CNFs in alkaline *** superior catalytic performance of Rus_(2)@CNFs mainly stems from the relative lower hER energy barriers and thereby the higher intrinsic catalytic activity of Rus_(2)(111),leading to ultralow overpotentials of 44 and 9 mV at 10 mA·cm^(-2) in acidic and alkaline media,***_(2)(111)is endowed with the more optimized Gibbs free energy of hydrogen adsorption(ΔGh*)than RuTe_(2)(111),but RuTe_(2)(111)shows enhanced catalytic property for h_(2)O dissociation and Oh-desorption than Ruse_(2)(111),therefore,resulting in the altered catalytic activity sequences for Ruse_(2) and RuTe_(2) in acidic and alkaline media.

The infection of host plants by many different viruses causes reactive oxygen species(Ros)accumulation and yellowing symptoms,but the mechanisms through which plant viruses counteract Ros-mediated immunity to facilitate infection and symptom development have not been fully *** plant viruses are transmitted by insect vectors in the field,but the molecular mechanisms underlying virus.h.st-insect interactions are *** this study,we investigated the interactions among wheat,barley yellow dwarf virus(BYDV),and its aphid vector and found that the BYDV movement protein(MP)interacts with both wheat catalases(CATs)and the 26s proteasomeubiquitin receptor non-ATPase regulatorysubunit2homolog(PsMD2)to facilitate the 26s proteasome-mediateddegradation of CATs,promotingviral infection,disease symptom development,and aphid *** of the BYDV MP gene in wheat enhanced the degradation of CATs,which leading to increased accumulation of ROs and thereby enhanced viral ***,transgenic wheat lines overexpressing BYDV MP showed significantly reduced proliferation of wingless aphids and an increased number of winged *** with this observation,silencing of CAT genes also enhanced viral accumulation and reduced the proliferation of wingless aphids but increased the occurrence of winged *** contrast,transgenic wheat plants overexpressing TaCAT1 exhibited the opposite changes and showed increases in grain size and weight upon infection with *** assays demonstrated that BYDV MP interacts with PsMD2 and promotes 26s proteasome-mediated degradation of TaCAT1 likely in a ubiquitination-independent ***,our study reveals a molecular mechanism by which a plant virus manipulates the Ros production system of host plants to facilitate viral infection and transmission,shedding new light on the sophisticated interactions among viruses.h.st plants,and insect vectors.

A novel Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phos.h.r was developed and synthesized by solid-state *** valence state of Eu,photoluminescence and thermo-sensitive performance of the phos.h.r prepared either in ambient air or carbothermally were investigated and *** phos.h.r shows.h.gh sensitivity(sa=0.0173 K^(-1),s_(r)=0.461%/K)and superior signal discriminability(Δν∼10380 cm^(−1)).The thermo-sensitive performance is subject to the dual effects of different thermo-responses by Eu^(2+)versus Eu^(3+)combined with energy transfer from Eu^(2+)to Eu^(3+),so that the sensitivity of the phos.h.r in the temperature range presents a non-monotonic *** development of the BaAl_(2)B_(2)O_(7):Eu^(2+),Eu^(3+)phos.h.r is not only expected to be relevant for application in the field of temperature sensing,but also of reference significance for improving the sensitivity by means of energy transfer between co-activator ions over a wider temperature range of Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phos.h.rs.

This study examines the impact of electric solar wind sail(E-sail)parameters on the attitude stability of E-sail’s central spacecraft by using a comprehensive rigid–flexible coupling dynamic *** this model,the nodal position finite element method is used to model the elastic deformation of the tethers through interconnected two-node tensile *** attitude dynamics of the central spacecraft is described using a natural coordinate *** rigid–flexible coupling between the central spacecraft and its flexible tethers is established using Lagrange *** research reveals the significant influences of parameters such as tether numbers,tether’s electric potential,and solar wind velocity on attitude ***,solar wind fluctuations and the distribution of electric potential on the main tethers considerably affect the attitude stability of the *** consistent management,the angular velocities of the spacecraft must remain at target ***,the attitude stability of a spacecraft has a pronounced dependence on the geometrical configuration of the E-sail,with axisymmetric E-sails proving to be more stable.
