我国学者研究冲突规范的路径分为“规范分析”路径和“功能判断”路径。剖析我国法学界对冲突规范结构和作用的不同认识,一种“联系比较”的研究路径应予倡导,运用这种研究路径研究冲突规范后会发现:现在通行的法理学对法律和法律规范的划分没有关注冲突法和冲突规范的特殊性。冲突规范是一种特殊的法律选择规范,它除了要优先于国内实体规范的适用以外,尽管它一般不是强制性规范,对于中国法院来说,其适用也不应该依赖于当事人的意思。当然,如果有国际统一实体规范可以适用,就不应该适用冲突规范。

Elemental Analysis of some Nigerian food Legumes by <i>k<sub>o</sub></i>-ENAA and INAA

samples of the food legumes, cowpeas (Vigna unguiculata), soya beans (Glycine max) and groundnuts (Arachis hypogaea) collected from rural farmers in four rural villages around Zaria, Nigeria were analysed for the concentrations of the major, minor and trace elements by the ko-ENAA and INAA methods. Irradiation and γ-ray counting were performed using the NIRR-1 and associated facilities. The NIsT 1515 Apple leaves were used as the quality control material. The concentrations of the elements se, Br and Rb were determined by ko-ENAA while those of Na, K, Zn, La, Br, sm and sc were determined in INAA in the food legumes. The concentrations of Zn found in all the legumes are within the limit specified in international guidelines. The concentrations of se found in the food legumes are above the limit specified in international guidelines. The food legumes are good sources of the elements Na, K, Zn which can meet adequate dietary requirements provided the legumes are not refined. Bromine is not at toxic levels in the food legumes.

There has been a surge of interest over the past several years in the use of neurochemical endpoints to contribute to our understanding of the mechanism of action of neurotoxicants. In our present presentation, two biogenic amine systems were selected as examples of biomarkers for neurotoxicity. To investigate these neurochemical endpoints, two prototype neurotoxicants were evaluated in experimental animals. One agent, reserpine, was used to assess developmental neurotoxicity and administered prenatally, while the other, MDMA, was used in the adult animal. The neurochemical biomarkers measured were dopamine, serotonin, and their metabolite (DOPAC and 5-HIAA) concentrations by HPLC/EC and dopamine receptor binding by radioligand receptor techniques. A review of the background, experimental design, and results are presented in this article. Our findings indicate that components of the biogenic amine systems can be used as sensitive neurochemical biomarkers of neurotoxicity. These neurochemical biomarkers can be correlated with neuropathological and behavioral biomarkers to aid in the understanding of mechanisms of neurotoxicity.

Application of Aquatic Plants for the Treatment of selenium-Rich Mining Wastewater and Production of Renewable fuels and Petrochemicals

Aquatic plants aggressively colonising wetlands are widely used for the biosorption of the soluble contaminants from wastewater and represent an attractive feedstock for biofuel production. Three common Australian aquatic plants, duckweed (Landoltia punctata), elodea, (Elodea canadensis) and water clover (Marsilea quadrifolia), colonizing different depths of wetlands were tested for their ability to treat the selenium-rich mining wastewater and for their potential for production of petrochemicals. The results showed that these plants could be effective at biofiltration of selenium and heavy metals from mining wastewater accumulating them in their fast growing biomass. Along with production of bio-gas and bio-solid components, pyrolysis of these plants produced a range of liquid petrochemicals including straight-chain C14-C20 alkanes, which can be directly used as a diesel fuel supplement or as a glycerine-free component of biodiesel. Other identified bio-oil components can be converted into petrochemicals using existing techniques such as catalytic hydrodeoxygenation. A dual application of aquatic plants for wastewater treatment and production of value-added chemicals offers an ecologically friendly and cost-effective solution for water pollution problems and renewable energy production.

The Lebaquan Complex in the central Beishan(NW China) plays a signi ficant role in understanding the subduction–accretion–collision processes of the southern Central Asian Orogenic Belt. four stages of deformation have been identi fied. The D1 deformation is characterized by a pervasive foliation(s1) de fined by metamorphic layering and intrafolial isoclinally folded quartz veins(f1). The D2 deformation is marked by a crenulation cleavage(s2) mainly developed in the schists, widespread tight to open folds and asymmetric folds(f2) as well as pinch-and-swell structures(boudins). The D3 deformation is characterized by high-strain ductile shears that modi fied the earlier structures. small-scale asymmetric folds, σ-type porphyroclasts and s–C fabrics in the schists, metacherts and pegmatites indicate dextral shearing in an east–west direction. The D4 deformation is represented by semiductile to brittle structures including open/gentle folds, kink folds and small-scale thrusts which overprinted earlier structures. The overall deformation pattern of this complex indicates a tectonic regime that changed from an earlier Ns-directed compression to a later EW-directed transpression, and finally to an EW extension. Geochemical data show that the protoliths of the metasedimentary rocks were sourced from an active margin.
