Progress in the studies of chirality in atomic nuclei at iThemba LAbs is *** regions of chirality,around mass 80 and 190 have been discovered using the AFRODITE array,specifically in the nuclei^(74)As,^(78,80,82)br,^(81)Kr,and^(193,194,198)*** phenomena have been observed,including multiple chiral bands in the same nucleus,the coexistence of octupole correlations and nuclear chirality,and the coexistence of pseudo spin and nuclear *** best example of chiral degeneracy to date was found in ^(194)*** level scheme of ^(106)Ag has been revisited and interpreted in terms of two-and four-quasiparticle *** using the particle-rotor model have shown that the fingerprints of chirality in the two-quasiparticle system only can occur in an idealised model *** systems with a higher number of quasiparticles,the calculations showed that nuclear chirality can persist.

In this study,we conducted a search for dark matter using a part of the data recorded by the CMs experiment during run-I of the LHC in 2012 with a center of mass energy of 8 TeV and an integrated luminosity of 11.6 fb−*** data were gathered from the CMs open *** matter,in the framework of the simplified model(mono-Z′),can be produced from proton-proton collisions in association with a new hypothetical gauge boson,Z′.Thus,the search was conducted in the dimuon plus large missing transverse momentum *** benchmark scenario of mono-Z′,which is known as light vector,was used for interpreting the CMs open *** evidence of dark matter was observed,and exclusion limits were set on the masses of dark matter and Z′at 95%confidence level.

This paper introduces a modified formal variable separation approach, showcasing a systematic and notably straightforward methodology for analyzing the b-type Kadomtsev–Petviashvili(bKP) equation. Through the application of this approach, we successfully ascertain decomposition solutions, b?cklund transformations, the Lax pair, and the linear superposition solution associated with the aforementioned equation. Furthermore, we expand the utilization of this technique to the C-type Kadomtsev–Petviashvili(CKP) equation, leading to the derivation of decomposition solutions, b?cklund transformations, and the Lax pair specific to this *** results obtained not only underscore the efficacy of the proposed approach, but also highlight its potential in offering a profound comprehension of integrable behaviors in nonlinear systems. Moreover, this approach demonstrates an efficient framework for establishing interrelations between diverse systems.

The wear profile analysis,obtained by different tribometers,is essential to characterise the wear ***,most of the available methods did not take the stress distribution over the wear profile in consideration,which causes inaccurate *** this study,the wear profile of polymer–metal contact,obtained by block-on-ring configuration under dry sliding conditions,was analysed using finite element modelling(FEM)and experimental ***’s wear equation was integrated into a developed FORTRAN-UMEsHMOTION code linked with Abaqus software.A varying wear coefficient(k)values covering both running-in and steady state regions,and a range of applied loads involving both mild and severe wear regions were measured and implemented in the *** FEM was in good agreement with the *** model reproduced the stress distribution profiles under variable testing conditions,while their values were affected by the sliding direction and maximum wear depth(hmax).The largest area of the wear profile,exposed to the average contact stresses,is defined as the normal *** the critical zones were characterized by high stress concentrations reaching up to 10 times of that at the normal *** wear profile was mapped to identify the critical zone where the stress concentration is the key point in this *** surface features were examined in different regions using scanning electron microscope(sEM).Ultimately,sEM analysis showed severer damage features in the critical zone than that in the normal zone as proven by ***,the literature data presented and considered the wear features the same at any point of the wear *** this study,the normal zone was determined at a stress value of about 0.5 MPa,whereas the critical zone was at about 5.5 *** wear behaviour of these two zones showed totally different features from one another.

The triggering mechanism for radio lobes from late-type galaxies is not fully *** samples are desired for a thorough investigation and *** utilizing the optical data from the newly released Dark Energy spectroscopic Instrument imaging surveys and the radio sources from the NRAO VLA sky survey and the Faint Images of the Radio sky at Twenty-centimeter,we identify four Late-type Galaxies with double Radio Lobes(La GRLs):J0217-3645,J0947+6220,J1412+3723 and J1736+*** previously known La GRLs,we confirm the correlation between radio power P_(1.4GHz)and stellar mass M_(*)of host ***(25/35)La GRLs belong to the blue cloud galaxies,while the newly identified cases in this work are located within the region of the red *** find a clear correlation between the differential radio power,i.e.,the offset from the P_(1.4GHz)-M_(*)relation,and the galaxy color,indicating that bluer galaxies at a fixed M_(*)tend to host more powerful radio ***,the majority(31/36)of La GRLs are either located in a galaxy group or displaying a disturbed *** suggest that all of the galaxy mass,color and surrounding environment could play important roles in triggering radio lobes in late-type galaxies.

We investigated the emission properties of Eu^(3+)-doped GdNbO_(4)-based oxide phosphors,aiming at improving the Eu^(3+)emission by codoping of bi^(3+)and Li^(+).Eu^(3+)singly doped,Eu^(3+)and bi^(3+)doubly doped,and Eu^(3+),bi^(3+),and Li^(+)triply doped GdNbO_(4)were prepared using a high-temperature solid-state reaction *** red-orange emissions from Eu^(3+)in the singly doped samples are significantly improved by the codoping of bi^(3+),mainly due to the energy transfer from bi^(3+)to Eu^(3+).The additional codoping of Li^(+)is found to increase the Eu^(3+)emission *** improvement might be attributed to the increase in the photoluminescent quantum yield originating from larger grain sizes and better crystallinity.A detailed analysis of the X-ray diffraction pattern and the asymmetric ratio estimated from the photoluminescence spectra show that the local lattice environment around Eu^(3+)in GdNbO_(4)does not change significantly with the codoping of bi^(3+)and Li^(+).Our results indicate that Li^(+)doping is a promising way to improve the emission properties of rare-earth ion-doped GdNbO_(4)phosphors.
