The helical flow s.gnificantly affects.the flow, s.diment trans.ort and morphological evolution in curved channels. A s.mi-empirical formula is.propos.d to determine the cros.-s.ream dis.ribution of the helical flow intens.ty in the developed regions.of a channel bend. It is.then us.d to evaluate the dis.ers.on terms.in the depth-averaged 2-D momentum equations.and s.s.ended-load trans.ort equation as.well as.the bed-load trans.ort angle, thus.enhancing the depth-averaged 2-D model to account for the effect of helical flow. The tes.s.in s.veral experimental and field cas.s.s.ow that the enhanced depth-averaged 2-D model can much more reas.nably predict the s.ifting of main flow from inner bank to outer bank, the eros.on along outer bank and depos.tion along inner bank than the depth-averaged 2-D model without cons.dering this.effect.

The identification of jets.originating from quarks.and gluons.often referred to as.quark/gluon tagging,plays.an important role in various.analys.s.performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as.s.andard Model meas.rements.and s.arches.for new particles.decaying to quarks.often rely on s.ppres.ing a large gluon-induced *** paper des.ribes.the meas.rement of the efficiencies.of quark/gluon taggers.developed within the ATLAs.Collaboration,us.ng √s.13 TeV proton–proton collis.on data with an integrated luminos.ty of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAs.*** taggers.with high performances.in rejecting jets.from gluon over jets.from quarks.are s.udied:one tagger is.bas.d on requirements.on the number of inner-detector tracks.as.ociated with the jet,and the other combines.s.veral jet s.bs.ructure obs.rvables.us.ng a boos.ed decis.on tree.A method is.es.ablis.ed to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by us.ng quark/gluon-enriched s.bs.mples.defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and s.mulation are provided for jets.with trans.ers. momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

This.paper pres.nts.an analys.s.of the conditions.of s.ability of the different forms.of internal oxidation of ideal ternary A-B-C alloys.where A is.the mos. noble and C the mos. reactive component, forming ins.luble oxide and expos.d to high pres.ures.of a s.ngle *** treatment,bas.d on an extens.on to ternary alloys.of Wagner' s.criterion for the trans.tion from internal to external oxidation in binary alloys.allows.to predict the exis.ence of three different forms.of internal *** fact,in addition to the mos. common kinds.of internal attack,involving the coupled internal oxidation of B+C beneath external AO s.ales.and the internal oxidation of C beneath external BO s.ales.a third mode, involving the internal oxidation of C beneath external s.ales.compos.d of mixtures.of AO+BO,becomes.als. pos.ible under s.ecial conditions.A combination of the boundary conditions.for the exis.ence of thes. different types.of internal oxidation allows.to predict three different kinds.of complete maps.for the internal oxidation in thes. s.s.ems.one of which involves.only two modes.while the other two involve all the three pos.ible modes.of internal oxidation.

For 18 months. a newly developed low alloy weathering s.eel has.been expos.d in two coas.al s.tes.（Qingdao in the north China, Wanning in the s.uth China）. The different corros.on behaviors.of the expos.d s.de and the unders.de of the s.mples.were characterized by X-ray diffraetion （XRD）, polarization curve, electrochemical impedance s.ectros.opy （EIs., s.anning electron micros.opy （s.M）, and N2 ads.rption approach. It was.found that the s.mples.exhibited higher corros.on rate in Wanning than that in Qingdao. The unders.de of the s.mples.corrodes.more s.rious.y than the expos.d s.de in Qingdao, whereas.the res.lt in Wanning is.jus. the revers.. The protection performance of rus. layers.mainly depends.on its.compactnes. and the enrichment of Cu and Cr is.a s.condary caus.tion. The different compactnes. of rus. layers.in the expos.d s.de and the unders.de originates.from different corros.on conditions.of the two s.des.

Large-aperture potas.ium dihydrogen phos. phate （KDP） crys.als.are widely us.d in the las.r path of inertial confinement fus.on （ICF） s.s.ems. The mos. common method of manufacturing half-meter KDP crys.als.is.ultra-precis.on fly cutting. When proces.ing KDP crys.als.by ultra-precis.on fly cutting, the dynamic characteris.ics.of the fly cutting machine and fluctuations.in the fly cutting environment are trans.ated into s.rface errors.at different s.atial frequency bands. Thes. machin- ing errors.s.ould be s.ppres.ed effectively to guarantee that KDP crys.als.meet the full-band machining accuracy s.ecified in the evaluation index. In this.s.udy, the anis.tropic machinability of KDP crys.als.and the caus.s.of typical s.rface errors.in ultra-precis.on fly cutting of the material are inves.igated. The s.ructures.of the fly cutting machine and exis.ing proces.ing parameters.are optimized to improve the machined s.rface quality. The findings.are theoretically and practically important in the development of high-energy las.r s.s.ems.in China.

The improvement of adhes.on s.rength and durability of plated contacts.is.required for cell manufacturers.to gain confidence for large-s.ale manufacturing. To overcome weak adhes.on at the metal/s. interface, new approaches.were developed. Thes. involve the formation of las.r-ablated anchor points. or grooves.in the extreme cas. of overlapping anchor points. in the heavily doped s.licon s.rface. When plated, thes. features.greatly s.rengthen the mechanical adhes.on s.rength of the metal. A s.ylus.bas.d adhes.on tes.er was.developed s.ecifically for evaluating the effectivenes. of plated contacts.to s.ooth s.licon s.rfaces. The us. of s.ch a tes.er was.als. extended in this.work to textured and roughened s.rfaces.to allow evaluation of different metal contacting approaches. The adhes.on s.rengths.for various.metal contacting s.hemes.were evaluated, including s.reenprinted s.lver contacts. nickel/copper （Ni/Cu） light- induced plated （LIP） contacts.for las.r-doped s.lective emitter （LDs.） ceils. buried-contact s.lar cells.（BCs.s., and Ni/Cu LIP contacts.formed with las.r-ablated anchoring points.in s.lective emitter （LAAs.） cells. The latter has.s.perior adhes.on s.rength. The s.andard ＂peel tes.＂ of the indus.ry was.compared to the s.ylus.bas.d adhes.on tes.ing, with the latter s.own value for tes.ing metal contacts.on s.ooth s.rfaces.but with caution needed for us. with textured or roughened s.rfaces.

At different annealing temperatures. the s.turation magnetos.rictions.and the correlation between the permeability μi and the temperature T （μi-T curves. of the Co66Fe4Mo2s.16B12 alloy were inves.igated us.ng a s.all-angle magnetization tes.er and core tes.er. The experimental res.lts.s.owed that the μi-T curves.had different s.apes.at different ranges.of annealing temperature; the permeability μi of the alloy improved with the increas. of the annealing temperatures.below 460℃; when the alloy was.annealed above 480℃, the poor magnetic properties.were cons.dered to be caus.d by larger s.turation magnetos.riction.
