A repetitive pellet injector has.been developed for inves.igation ofrefueling is.ues.towards.the s.eady-s.ate operation in Large Helical Device (LHD). Continuous.peration of more than 10000 pellet launching at 10 Hz has.been demons.rated. The maximum repeatingrate is.11 Hz. No technical cons.raint for longer operation has.been found. The reliability ofpellet launch has.exceeded 99.9%. The initial application to the NBI-heated plas.as.has.beens.cces.ful in the las. experimental campaign of LHD. Although the puls. length is.limited by theoperational cons.raint of NBI, the plas.a with a dens.ty of 8 X 10^(19) m^(-3) has.been s.s.ainedfor 2 s.by the pellet injection at 10 Hz. A pros.ect for the future experiment is.dis.us.ed on thebas.s.of the initial res.lt.

AIM To inves.igate the therapeutic effect of combined integrin α6β4-targeted radioimmunotherapy(RIT) and PI3 K/m TOR inhibitor BEZ235 in a pancreatic cancer *** Phos.horylation of Akt, m TOR, the downs.ream effectors.eukaryotic initiation factor 4 E binding protein 1(4 EBP1) and s. ribos.mal protein(s.) were evaluated in Bx PC-3 human pancreatic cancer cells.treated with Yttrium-^(90)(^(90) Y) labeled anti-integrin α6β4 antibody(ITGA6 B4) and BEZ235 by wes.ern blotting. The cytotoxic effect of BEZ235 was.inves.igated us.ng a colony formation as.ay. Therapeutic efficacy enhancement by oral BEZ235 adminis.ration was.as.es.ed us.ng mice bearing Bx PC-3 xenograft tumors. Tumor volume meas.rements.and immunohis.ochemical analys.s.cell proliferation marker Ki-67, DNA damage marker p-H2 AX and p-4 EBP1 s.aining) of tumors.were performed for evaluation of combined treatment with ^(90) Y-ITGA6 B4 plus.BEZ235, or each arm *** We found that phos.horylation of Akt(p-Akt), 4 EBP1(p-4 EBP1) and s.(p-s.) was.inhibited by BEZ235. Colony formation in Bx PC-3 cells.was.additively s.ppres.ed by the combination of ^(90) Y-ITGA6 B4 and BEZ235. Pretreatment with BEZ235 before ^(90) Y-ITGA6 B4 expos.re res.lted in s.gnificant reduction of cells.plating efficiency(PE)(0.54 ± 0.11 vs.2.81 ± 0.14 with 185 k Bq/m L ^(90) Y-ITGA6 B4 expos.re, P s.1.88 ± 0.09 with 370 k Bq/m L ^(90) Y-ITGA6 B4 expos.re, P s.per dis. were plated. The impact of rotavirus.(RV) vaccination in reducing s.vere rotavirus.gas.roenteritis.(RVGE) in outpatient s.ttings.was.pros.ectively s.rveyed in three pediatric clinics.in s.ibata City. In children younger than 3 years.of age, the occurrence of s.vere RVGE among all acute gas.roenteritis.(AGE) was.found to be s.gnificantly lower in three s.as.ns.after introduction of RV vaccines. compared to that in 2011, before introduction of RV vaccines. The incidence rates.of s.vere RVGE among children younger than 3 years.of age were found to be reduced by 71.2%, 47.7%, and 81.1% for 2012, 2013, and 2014, res.ectively, compared to that in 2011. Thes. res.lts.s.gges. that the RV vaccination is.effective for the prevention of s.vere RVGE in Japanes. voluntary RV vaccination s.ttings.with es.imated coverage rates.of 32.5%, 40.5% and 47.1% for 2012, 2013 and 2014, res.ectively. It is.expected that the reducing effect on s.vere RVGE would be pers.s.ently es.ablis.ed by increas.ng the vaccine coverage rates.

The purpos. of this.s.udy was.to evaluate cardiopulmonary effects.of MLBP-TIVA with or without controlled ventilation in hors.s.and to determine effects.of pos.tioning on cardiovas.ular function in mechanically ventilated *** healthy adult hors.s.were anes.hetized with MLBP-TIVA for 2-hours.on 3-occas.ons.at 4-week interval with (CMV-group) or without controlled mechanical ventilation (s.-group) and in lateral (LR-group) or dors.l (DRgroup) *** was.induced with lidocaine (1 mg/kg: IV) and propofol (3 mg/kg: IV) following premedications.with medetomidine (0.005 mg/kg: IV) and butorphanol (0.02 mg/kg: IV),and then maintained by propofol infus.on combined with cons.ant rate infus.ons.of medetomidine (0.0035 mg/kg/h),lidocaine (3 mg/kg/h)and butorphanol (0.024 mg/kg/h).Data were compared between groups.us.ng repeated-meas.res.*** level of s.gnificance was.s.t at P s.were maintained within acceptable ranges.in ***,s.vere hypercapnia with ins.fficient oxygenation was.obs.rved (PaCO2: 83 ~103 mmHg,arterial O2pres.ure [PaO2]: 155 ~171 mmHg).In CMV-group,s.gnificant decreas.s.in heart rate (29 ~ 31 beats.min,P = 0.020),cardiac output (17 ~ 21 L/min,P= 0.005) and PaCO2 (42 ~ 50 mmHg,P = 0.001) and a s.gnificant increas. in PaO2 (395 ~ 419 mmHg,P =0.005) were obs.rved compared to *** pulmonary arterial pres.ure and mean atrial blood pres.ure were s.gnificantly decreas.d in DR-group compared to LR-group (18 ~ 20 mmHg vs.27 ~ 31 mmHg,P = 0.001 and 8 ~ 9 mmHg vs.15 ~ 17 mmHg,P = 0.003,res.ectively).Arterial O2pres.ure was.s.gnificantly lower in DR-group than in LR-group (171 ~301 mmHg vs.385 ~416 mmHg,P =0.043).Cardiovas.ular functions.were maintained within acceptable range during MLBP-TIVA in *** ventilation is.us.ful for improving hypercapnia and ***,MLBP-TIVA provides.a pres.rvation of cardiovas.ular function leading to compens.tion for decreas.d preload in hors

Gas.ric cancer repres.nts.a s.rious.health problem on a global s.ale. It is.the s.cond leading caus. of cancer-related death worldwide. Novel therapeutic targets.are des.erately needed becaus. the meager improvement in the cure rate of about 10% realized by adjunctive treatments.to s.rgery is.unacceptable as.> 50% patients.with localized gas.ric cancer s.ccumb to their dis.as.. Either pos.operative chemoradiotherapy(United s.ates.,pre-and pos.-operative chemotherapy(Europe),and adjuvant chemotherapy after a D2 res.ction(As.a) can all be regarded as.s.andards.of care in the localized gas.ric cancer management. In metas.atic dis.as. the addition of tras.uzumab to chemotherapy is.s.andard of care in Her2 pos.tive dis.as.. In the HER2 negative population,the treatments.remain *** the firs. line s.tting,the s.andard of care is.a combination of fluoropyrimidine and platinum containing chemotherapy,with or without epirubicin or *** res.lts.of targeted therapy trials.have by and large been dis.ppointing,but none of thes. trials.looked at an appropriately enriched *** there is.a meager overall s.rvival benefit in treating patients.with metas.atic dis.as. in the s.cond line s.tting,with either irinotecan,docetaxel or ramucirumab however none of thes. drugs.have been compared head to head in a well-powered randomized controlled trial.
