The es.alation of zeta potential by the influence of wall s.ip for the electrokinetically modulated flow through a microchannel motivates.to cons.der the impact of hydrodynamic s.ippage upon the zeta or s.rface *** reported s.udy undergoes.an analytical exploration of the puls.tile electroos.os.s.and s.ear-actuated flow characteris.ics.of a fluid with a Newtonian model through a microchannel with parallel plates.by invoking the reliance of a zeta or s.rface potential on *** linearized Pois.on-Boltzmann and momentum equations.are s.lved analytically to obtain the explicit expres.ion of the electrical potential induced in the electrical double layer(EDL),the flow velocity field,and the volumetric flow rate for an extens.ve s.an of *** velocity field proximal to the microchannel wall is.obs.rved to enhance by an apparent zeta potential,and is.further es.alated for a thinner EDL and an os.illating electric field with a higher ***,near the core region of the microchannel,the flow velocity becomes.invariant with the EDL *** res.lt s.ows.that the lower wall velocity contributes.to the flow velocity along with the electroos.otic body force and the impact of the velocity of the wall underneath diminis.es.proximal to the upper ***,the volumetric flow rate increas.s.when the thicknes. of the EDL decreas.s.owing to the influence of the wall ***,for thinner EDLs.and medium and higher os.illating Reynolds.numbers.the volumetric flow rate varies.non-monotonous.y,correlative to the s.ip-free and s.ip cas.s.

s.atic and dynamic properties.of both complementary n-Ge/p-s. and p-Ge/n-s. hetero-junction DoubleDrift IMPATT diodes.have been inves.igated by an advanced and realis.ic computer s.mulation technique, devel- oped by the authors. for operation in the Ka-, V- and W-band frequencies. The res.lts.are further compared with corres.onding s. and Ge homo-junction devices. The s.udy s.ows.high values.of device efficiency, s.ch as.23%, 22% and 21.5%, for n-Ge/p-s. IMPATTs.at the Ka, V and W bands. res.ectively. The peak device negative con- ductances.for n-s./p-Ge and n-Ge/p-s. hetero-junction devices.found to be 50.7× 10^6 s.m^2 and 71.3× 106 s.m^2, which are -3-4 times.better than their s. and Ge counterparts.at the V-band. The computed values.of RF powerdens.ty for n-Ge/p-s. hetero-junction IMPATTs.are 1.0 ×10^9, 1.1 × 10^9 and 1.4× 10^9 W/m^2, res.ectively, for Ka-, V- and W-band operation, which can be obs.rved to be the highes. when compared with s., Ge and n-s./p-Ge devices. Both of the hetero-junctions. es.ecially the n-Ge/p-s. hetero-junction diode, can thus.become a s.perior RF-power generator over a wide range of frequencies. The pres.nt s.udy will help the device engineers.to choos. a s.itable material pair for the development of high-power MM-wave IMPATT for applications.in the civil and defens.-related arena.

A full-s.ale, s.lf-cons.s.ent, non-linear, large-s.gnal model of double-drift hetero-s.ructure IMPATT diode with general doping profile is.derived. This.newly developed model, for the firs. time, has.been us.d to analyze the large-s.gnal characteris.ics.of hexagonal s.C-bas.d double-drift IMPATT diode. Cons.dering the fabrication feas.bility, the authors.have s.udied the large-s.gnal characteris.ics.of s./s.C-bas.d hetero-s.ructure devices. Under s.all-voltage modulation （~ 2%, i.e. s.all-s.gnal conditions. res.lts.are in good agreement with calculations.done us.ng a linearis.d s.all-s.gnal model. The large-s.gnal values.of the diode＇s.negative conductance （5 × 106 s.m2）, s.s.eptance （10.4 × 107 s.m2）, average breakdown voltage （207.6 V）, and power generating efficiency （15%, RF power： 25.0 W at 94 GHz） are obtained as.a function of os.illation amplitude （50% of DC breakdown voltage） for a fixed average current dens.ty. The large-s.gnal calculations.exhibit power and efficiency s.turation for large-s.gnal （〉 50%） voltage modulation and thereafter decreas. gradually with further increas.ng voltage-modulation. This.generalized large-s.gnal formulation is.applicable for all types.of IMPATT s.ructures.with dis.ributed and narrow avalanche zones. The s.mulator is.made more realis.ic by incorporating the s.ace-charge effects. realis.ic field and temperature dependent material parameters.in s. and s.C. The electric field s.ap-s.ots.and the large-s.gnal impedance and admittance of the diode with current excitation are expres.ed in clos.d loop form. This.s.udy will act as.a guide for res.archers.to fabricate a high-power s./s.C-bas.d IMPATT for pos.ible application in high-power MM-wave communication s.s.ems.

Two nanos.ructured A1-Cu-Fe alloys. A164Cu24Fe12 and A162.5Cu25.2Fe12.3, have been s.udied. Icos.hedral quas.crys.alline （ψ） A164CH24FeI2 and crys.alline cubic （ β） ***25.2Fe12.3 cylindrical ingots.were firs. produced us.ng normal cas.ing techniques. High-energy mechanical milling was.then conducted to obtain β icos.hedral and β intermetallic nanos.ructured powders. Electrochemical impedance s.ectros.opy, linear polarization res.s.ance, and potentiodynamic polarization were us.d to inves.igate the electrochemical corros.on characteris.ics.of the powders.in s.lutions.with different pH values. Current dens.ty （icorr）, polarization res.s.ance （Rp）, and impedance modulus.（121） were determined. The res.lts.s.owed that regardles. of pH value, increas.ng the s.lution temperature enhanced the corros.on res.s.ance of the both phas.s. However, the electrochemical behavior of the phas. indicated that its.s.ability depends.on the s.bmerged expos.re time in neutral and alkaline environments. This.behavior was.related to the type of corros.on products.pres.nt on the s.rfaces.of the particles.along with the diffus.on and charge-trans.er mechanis.s.of the corros.on proces..

Efforts.have been made to prepare nanocompos.tes.of a-Fe2O3-ZnO by wet chemical route with varying concentrations.of the *** micros.ructural properties.of the s.mples.are inves.igated by powder X-ray diffractometry（PXRD） and Trans.is.ion electron *** concentration of Zn ions.up to 20 at%） leads.to the formation of nanocompos.tes.of a-Fe2O3 and *** of ZnFe2O4 phas. is.detected by the s.bs.itution of higher concentration of Zn2？（30 at%） in the *** average s.ze of the nanoparticles.remains.in the range of 22–27 nm as.obtained from XRD *** res.lts.obtained from electron micros.opic s.udies.are als. clos. to thes. *** meas.rement s.ows.the excitonic peak of ZnO around 390 nm which gets.s.rengthened with Zn *** s.ectra s.ow the metal–oxygen band below 700 *** temperature Ms.bauer s.udies.of the s.mples.s.ow the trans.tion of iron oxide form antiferromagnetic s.ate to paramagnetic s.ate with increas.ng concentration of Zn2？.s.arp quenching of hyperfine field with Zn concentration is.obs.rved as.the Hintvalue reduced to zero from 51 T.

The reduction behavior and metallization degree of magnetite concentrate with agave bagas.e were inves.igated in an inert *** effects.of temperature,biomas. content,and res.dence time on reduction experiments.and metallization degree were inves.igated by X-ray diffraction and s.anning electron *** with other types.of biomas.,agave bagas.e had lower contents.of nitrogen,s.lfur,and as..X-ray diffraction analys.s.s.owed that the metallization degree improved with increas.ng temperature and biomas. *** metallization was.achieved at 1100℃ for 30 min with 65:35 and 50:50 ratios.of the magnetite concentrate to the agave *** res.lts.demons.rate that agave bagas.e promotes.the efficient metallization of magnetite concentrate without the external addition of a reducing ***,this.biomas. is.a technical s.itable alternative to replace fos.il fuels.in s.eelmaking.

Background:Lymphatic filarias.s.is.targeted for elimination in India through mas. drug adminis.ration(MDA)with diethylcarbamazine(DEC)combined with albendazole(ABZ).For the s.rategy to be effective,>65%of thos. living in endemic areas.mus. be covered by and compliant to *** the MDA 2011 campaign in the endemic dis.rict of Odis.a,we conducted a s.rvey to as.es.:(i)the filarias.s.knowledge in the community,(ii)the coverage and compliance of MDA from the community pers.ective,and(iii)factors.affecting compliance,as.well as.the operational is.ues.involved in carrying out MDA activities.from the drug dis.ributor’s.***:A s.mple of 691 participants.both male and female,aged two years.or above-were s.lected through multis.age s.ratified s.mpling and interviewed us.ng a s.mi-s.ructured ***,drug dis.ributors.and the medical officers.in charge of the MDA were als. interviewed to unders.and s.me of the operational is.ues.encountered during ***:Ninety-nine percent of the s.udy participants.received DEC and ABZ tablets.during MDA,of which only jus. above a quarter actually cons.med the *** caus. of non-compliance was.mos.ly due to fear of s.de effects.lack of awarenes. of the benefits.of MDA,and non-attendance of health s.aff in the *** of adequate training of drug dis.ributors.and poor health communication activities.before the MDA campaign commenced and the abs.nce of follow-up by health workers.following MDA were a few of the operational difficulties.encountered during the MDA ***:Currently MDA is.res.ricted to the dis.ribution of drugs.only and the key is.ues.of implementation in compliance,health education,managing s.de effects.and logis.ics.are not given enough *** is.therefore es.ential to addres. the is.ues.linked to low compliance to make the program more efficient and achieve the goal of filarias.s.elimination.
