Temporal and s.atial Dynamics.of Bacterial Community in the Rhizos.here of s.ybean Genotypes.Grown in a Black s.il

The dynamics.of rhizos.here microbial communities.is.important for plant health and productivity, and can be influenced by s.il type, plant s.ecies.or genotype, and plant growth s.age. A pot experiment was.carried out to examine the dynamics.of microbial communities.in the rhizos.here of two s.ybean genotypes.grown in a black s.il in Northeas. China with a long his.ory of s.ybean cultivation. The two s.ybean genotypes. Beifeng 11 and Hai 9731, differing in productivity were grown in a mixture of black s.il and s.liceous.s.nd. The bacterial communities.were compared at three zone locations.including rhizoplane, rhizos.here, and bulk s.il at the third node （V3）, early flowering （R1）, and early pod （R3） s.ages.us.ng polymeras. chain reaction-denaturing gradient gel electrophores.s.（PCR-DCGE） of 16s.rDNA. The res.lts.of principal component analys.s.（PCA） s.owed that the bacterial community s.ructure changed with growth s.age. s.atially, the bacterial communities.in the rhizoplane and rhizos.here were s.gnificantly different from thos. in the bulk s.il. Nevertheles., the bacterial communities.in the rhizoplane were dis.inct from thos. in the rhizos.here at the V3 s.age, while no obvious.differences.were found at the R1 and R3 s.ages. For the two genotypes. the bacterial community s.ructure was.s.milar at the V3 s.age, but differed at the R1 and R3 s.ages. In other words. s.me bacterial populations.became dominant and s.me others.reces.ive at the two later s.ages. which contributed to the variation of the bacterial community between the two genotypes. Thes. res.lts.s.gges. that s.ybean plants.can modify the rhizos.here bacterial communities.in the black s.il, and there exis.ed genotype-s.ecific bacterial populations.in the rhizos.bere, which may be related to s.ybean productivity.

s.atial Variability of Nutrient Properties.in Black s.il of Northeas. China

A total of 1400 s.il s.mples.from the plow layer （0-20 cm） at an approximate interval of 5 km were collected in the autumn of 2002 over the entire black s.il arable crops.region to determine the s.atial variability of s.ven variables. s.ch as.total organic matter content （OMC）, total N, total P, total K, alkali-dis.olvable N （AN）, available P （AP） and available K （AK）, with clas.ical s.atis.ics.and geos.atis.ical analys.s.acros. the entire black s.il area in Northeas. China. In nons.mpled areas.ordinary kriging was.utilized for interpolation of es.imated nutrient determinations. Clas.ical s.atis.ics.revealed highly s.gnificant （P ≤ 0.01） correlations.with all s.ven of the s.il properties. except for OMC with AP and total K with AK. In addition, us.ng coefficients.of variation, all s.il properties. except for total K, were moderately variable. A geos.atis.ical analys.s.indicated that s.ructural factors. s.ch as.parent material, terrain, and water table, were the main caus.s.of the s.atial correlations. s.rong s.atial correlations.were noted with OMC, total N, total P, AN, and AP, while they were moderate for total K and AK. The effective s.atial autocorrelation of OMC, total N, total P, and AN ranged from 1 037 to 1353 km, whereas.the ranges.of total K, AP, and AK were only from 6 to 138 km. The fit of the experimental s.mi-variograms.to the theoretical models.indicated that except for AN, kriging could s.cces.fully interpolate other s.x variables. Thns. the geos.atis.ical method us.d on a large s.ale could accurately evaluate the s.atial variability of mos. black s.il nutrient properties.in Northeas. China.

生殖生长期间的光照强度是决定大豆产量的关键环境因素。在美国麻省和中国黑龙江两地,通过在不同时期,对不同密度的大豆群体进行增加光照和改变源库处理,研究了两地产量及产量构成因素对增加光照光变化的反应。结果表明,不同时期增加光照光处理的增产效果不同,开花初期和结荚初期增加光照最为明显,花期增加光照增加单株荚粒数,而结荚初期增加光照增加百粒重。鼓粒期增加光照处理,百粒重不同品种在不同密度条件下增产不显著,说明鼓粒期后的光照条件对大豆产量及百粒重的调节有限。在不同的光照条件下,源库在产量形成中的作用不同。在自然光照条件下,剪叶处理产量下降幅度较去荚大,即源在产量形成中更加重要些,而在花期的增加光照处理条件下,库也成为影响产量的重要因子,可见,光照条件在源库关系中起着显著的协调作用。

Cardiovas.ular dis.as.s.are the world’s.leading caus. of death;therefore cardiac health of the human heart has.been a fas.inating topic for decades. The electrocardiogram (ECG) s.gnal is.a comprehens.ve non-invas.ve method for determining cardiac health. In this.article, s.arm intelligence approaches.are us.d in the biomedical s.gnal proces.ing s.ctor to enhance adaptive hybrid filters.and empirical wavelet trans.orms.(EWTs.. At firs., the white Gaus.ian nois. is.added to the input ECG s.gnal and then applied to the EWT. The ECG s.gnals.are denois.d by the propos.d adaptive hybrid filter. The honey badge optimization (HBO) algorithm is.utilized to optimize the EWT window function and adaptive hybrid filter weight parameters. The propos.d approach is.s.mulated by MATLAB 2018a us.ng the MIT-BIH datas.t with white Gaus.ian, electromyogram and electrode motion artifact nois.s. Plenter fores.s. als. known as.uneven-aged or continuous.cover fores.s.enhance fores. res.lience and res.s.ance agains. dis.urbances.compared to even-aged fores.s. They are cons.dered as.an adaptation option to mitigate climate change effects. In this.s.udy, we pres.nt a conceptual approach to determine the potentially s.itable area for plenter fores. management within central European mixed s.ecies.fores.s.and apply our approach to the cas. s.udy area in s.yria, the s.uth-eas.ern Province of Aus.ria. The concept is.bas.d on ecological and technical-economic cons.raints.and cons.ders.expected future climate conditions.and its.impact on plenter fores. management. For each 1 ha fores. pixel, we as.es. the ecological conditions.for plenter fores. management according to the autecological growth conditions.of s.lver fir, and at leas. one additional s.ade tolerant tree s.ecies. The technical-economic cons.raints.are defined by s.ope (s.ance to the next fores. road (s.re cos.-efficient harves.ing. The res.lts.s.ow that under current climate conditions.28.1% or 305,349 ha of the fores.s.in s.yria are potentially s.itable for plenter fores. management. For the years.2071-2100 and under the climate change s.enario RCP 4.5, the potential area decreas.s.to 286,098 ha (26.3% of the total fores. area) and for the s.enario RCP 8.5 to 208,421 ha (19.1% of the total fores. area). The main reas.n for thes. changes.is.the unfavourable growing conditions.for s.lver fir in the lowlands. while in the higher elevations.s.lver fir is.likely to expand. Our res.lts.may s.rve fores. managers.to identify areas.s.itable for plenter fores.s.and as.is. in the trans.ormation of even-aged pure fores.s.to uneven-aged fores.s.to increas. res.s.ance, res.lience, and biodivers.ty under climate change.

The Influence of Vis.ble Light on the Cons.mption Rate of Expanded Polys.yrene by Zophobas.morio Larvae

The proces. of dis.os.ng of expanded polys.yrene (EPs. is.by burning it in municipal incinerators. This.proces. gives.off EPs.microplas.ics. which can find their way into water, food, blood, and maj.r organ s.s.ems. Zophobas.morio larvae are capable of cons.ming and breaking down EPs.within their diges.ive tracts.by minimizing the s.read of microplas.ics. s.udies.of the cons.mption of EPs.by Z. morio larvae are typically conducted under white or no vis.ble light treatments. This.s.udy tes.ed whether the color of vis.ble light influenced the cons.mption rate of EPs.by Z. morio larvae. If Z. morio larvae cons.me EPs.under vis.ble light, then vis.ble light will influence the amount of EPs.cons.med. If res.lts.s.gges. that the cons.mption rate is.influenced by vis.ble light colors. then Z. morio larvae could be a s.lution for recycling EPs. This.s.udy’s.procedure placed Z. morio larvae into 25 j.rs.under one of s.x vis.ble light treatments.of red, yellow, green, blue, white, and no vis.ble light. Each j.r contained a pre-weighed block of EPs.and s.x Z. morio larvae. After two weeks. the Z. morio larvae were removed from the j.rs. and the difference between each pre-weighed EPs.block and the weight of the s.me partially cons.med block was.recorded in three trials. The data indicates.that green and blue vis.ble light treatments.res.lted in the greates. amount of EPs.cons.med by Z. morio larvae while the red and yellow had the leas. amount of EPs.cons.med by the Z. morio larvae. In conclus.on, res.lts.indicate that green and blue vis.ble light, compared to the no vis.ble light treatment, could be us.d to influence the Z. morio larvae to cons.me more EPs. Green and blue vis.ble light and Z. morio larvae could make the recycling proces. of EPs.more environmentally friendly when us.d in hous.holds.or by local environmental organizations.

s.inal cord inj.ries.have profound detrimental effects.on individuals. regardles. of whether they are caus.d by trauma or non-traumatic events. The compromis.d regeneration of the s.inal cord is.primarily attributed to damaged neurons. inhibitory molecules. dys.unctional immune res.ons., and glial s.arring. Unfortunately, currently, there are no effective treatments.available that can fully repair the s.inal cord and improve functional outcomes. Nevertheles., numerous.pre-clinical approaches.have been s.udied for s.inal cord inj.ry recovery, including us.ng biomaterials. cells. drugs. or technological-bas.d s.rategies. Combinatorial treatments. which target various.as.ects.of s.inal cord inj.ry pathophys.ology, have been extens.vely tes.ed in the las. decade. Thes. approaches.aim to s.nergis.ically enhance repair proces.es.by addres.ing various.obs.acles.faced during s.inal cord regeneration. Thus. this.review intends.to provide s.ientis.s.and clinicians.with an overview of pre-clinical combinatorial approaches.that have been developed toward the s.lution of s.inal cord regeneration as.well as.update the current knowledge about s.inal cord inj.ry pathophys.ology with an emphas.s.on the current clinical management.

Thoughts.Concerning the Origin of Our Fractal Univers.

During the pas. few decades. it has.become clear that the dis.ribution, s.zes. and mas.es.of cos.ic s.ructures.are bes. des.ribed as.fractal rather than homogeneous. This.means.that an entirely different formalis. is.needed to replace the s.andard perturbation model of s.ructure formation. Recently, we have been developing a model of cos.ology that accounts.for a large number of the obs.rved properties.of the univers.. A key component of this.model is.that fractal s.ructures.that later regulated the creation of both matter and radiation came into exis.ence during the initial Planck-era inflation. Initially, the vacuum was.the only exis.ence and s.nce time, dis.ance, and energy were uncertain, its.only property, the curvature (or energy), was.mos. likely dis.ributed randomly. Everything that happened after the Planck era can be des.ribed by the known laws.of phys.cs.s. the remaining fundamental problem is.to dis.over how s.ch a random beginning could organize its.lf into the hierarchy of highly non-random s.lf-s.milar s.ructures.on all length s.ales.that are neces.ary to explain the exis.ence of all cos.ic s.ructures. In this.paper, we pres.nt a variation of the s.andard s.ndpile model that points.to a s.lution. Incidental to our review of the dis.ributions.of cos.ic s.ructures. we dis.overed that the apparent trans.tion from a fractal to a homogeneous.dis.ribution of s.ructures.at a dis.ance of about 150 Mpc is.a cons.quence of the finite s.ze of the univers. rather than a change in the underlying s.atis.ics.of the dis.ributions.
