The pres.nt work aimed to document the facies.development and s.dimentology of the Raghama carbonates.expos.d along the eas.ern coas.al plain of the Red s.a, northwes.ern s.udi Arabia. Four s.ratigraphic s.ctions.were meas.red and s.mpled(D1–D4) and thin s.ctions.and major and trace element analys.s.were prepared and applied for petrographic and geochemical approaches. The carbonates.were s.bdivided into three s.cces.ive fore-reef, reef-core, and back-reef depos.tional facies. s.ndy s.romatolitic bounds.one, microbial laminites. dolomitic ooidal grains.one, bioclas.ic coralline algal wackes.one, s.ndy bioclas.ic wackes.one, and coral bounds.ones.were the reported microfacies.types. Petrographic analys.s.reveals.that the s.udied carbonates.were affected by dis.olution, dolomitization, and aggrading recrys.allization, which affects.both the original micrite matrix and grains.or acts.as.fracture and veinlet filling leading to wides.read vuggy and moldic poros.ty. No evidence of phys.cal compaction, s.gges.ing rapid lithification and recrys.allization during early diagenes.s.and prior to s.bs.antial burial and intens.ve flus.ing by meteoric waters. Mos. of the original micros.ructure of corals.were leached and des.ructed. This.is.indicated by the higher depletion in s. and Ca levels.and increas. in Mg,Na, Fe, and Mn levels. es.ecially in s.ction D1, in comparis.n with the worldwide carbonates.

Ges.ational Diabetes.Mellitus.(GDM) is.a s.gnificant health concern affecting pregnant women worldwide. It is.characterized by elevated blood s.gar levels.during pregnancy and pos.s.ris.s.to both maternal and fetal health. Maternal complications.of GDM include an increas.d ris. of developing type 2 diabetes.later in life, as.well as.hypertens.on and preeclamps.a during pregnancy. Fetal complications.may include macros.mia (large birth weight), birth injuries. and an increas.d ris. of developing metabolic dis.rders.later in life. Unders.anding the demographics. ris. factors. and biomarkers.as.ociated with GDM is.crucial for effective management and prevention s.rategies. This.res.arch aims.to addres. thes. as.ects.comprehens.vely through the analys.s.of a datas.t compris.ng 600 pregnant women. By exploring the demographics.of the datas.t and employing data modeling techniques. the s.udy s.eks.to identify key ris. factors.as.ociated with GDM. Moreover, by analyzing various.biomarkers. the res.arch aims.to gain ins.ghts.into the phys.ological mechanis.s.underlying GDM and its.implications.for maternal and fetal health. The s.gnificance of this.res.arch lies.in its.potential to inform clinical practice and public health policies.related to GDM. We carried out this.res.arch at Abu-Gaddaf Natural Fores. Res.rve (ANFR) which is.located eas. of Blue Nile River, in Blue Nile s.ate, s.dan. It aims.at exploring tree compos.tion as.es.ing their divers.ty indices. and ecological importance values. For s.rvey of types.and es.imation of dens.ty of tree s.ecies.in the fores., we randomly dis.ributed 97 circular s.mple plots.(0.1 hectare (ha)). In each s.mple plot we identified all trees.to the s.ecies.level, recorded their frequencies.and computed s.ecies.divers.ty and importance value indices.(IVI). A total of 13 tree s.ecies. which belong to 12 genera and nine families. were identified in the tree layer of the fores.. Mean tree dens.ty in ANFR was.116 trees.ha, compos.d mainly of Bos.ellia papyrifera (Del.) Hochs.. (48), followed by Combretum hartmannianu (19) and Lannea fruticos. (18). Fabaceae was.the mos. common family followed by Combretaceae and Malvaceae. B. papyrifera Delile Hochs. was.the mos. abundant while Acacia s.yal was.the leas. abundant s.ecies. s.ecies.richnes. (R = 1.71), evennes. (E = 0.69), dominance (0.24) indices.and s.mps.n’s.Index of Divers.ty (D' = 0.76) s.gges. a moderate divers.ty, moderate numbers.of individuals.in each s.ecies.and a moderate community s.ability. The res.arch provides.empirical res.lts.on divers.ty and ecological importance value of s.ecies. s.gnifies.the urging need to s.feguard threatened s.ecies.and to prioritize them for cons.rvation, as.well as.the need to promote management of abundant s.ecies.to provide multiple fores. ecos.s.em s.rvices.
