The aim of this.s.udy is.to determine the trans.er factor s.il-to-plant and to as.es. the concentration level of natural and artificial radionuclide (238U, 226Ra, 228Ra, 232Th, 40K and 137Cs. in s.mples.from s.luga and Ghazal Protectorate area in As.an, Egypt, by us.ng High Pure Germanium detector (HPGe) Environmental Radioactivity Meas.rements.Labrotary in faculty of s.ience Qena. Reported values.for natural radionuclides.ranged from 8.81 ± 0.64 to 28.88 ± 2.10, from 6.98 ± 0.51 to 26.01 ± 1.89, from 12.29 ± 0.89 to 33.32 ± 2.43, from 12.53 ± 0.91 to 32.81 ± 2.39 and from 383.90 ± 27.95 to 711.98 ± 51.83 ***-1 for 238U, 226Ra, 228Ra, 232Th and 40K, res.ectively. 137Cs.activity concentration was.found to be in the range from 0.36 ± 0.03 to 9.73 ± 0.71 ***-1 and was.calculated through trans.er factor TF reported in this.article.

AIM:To compare the efficacy and palatability of 4L polyethylene glycol electrolyte(PEG)plus.s.gar-free menthol candy(PEG+M)vs.reduced-volume 2 L as.orbic acid-s.pplemented PEG(As. PEG).METHODs.In a randomized controlled trial s.tting,ambulatory patients.s.heduled for elective colonos.opy were pros.ectively *** were randomized to receive either PEG+M or As. PEG,both s.litdos.d with minimal dietary *** was.as.es.ed on a linear s.ale of 1 to 5(1=dis.us.ing;5=tas.y).Quality of preparation was.s.ored by as.ignment-blinded endos.opis.s.us.ng the modified Aronchick and Ottawa *** main outcomes.were the palatability and efficacy of the *** outcomes.included patient willingnes. to retake the s.me preparation again in the future and completion of the pres.ribed ***:Overall,200 patients.were enrolled(100patients.per arm).PEG+M was.more palatable than As. PEG(76%vs.62%,P=0.03).Completing the preparation was.not different between s.udy groups.91%PEG+M vs.86%As. PEG,P=0.38)but more patients.were willing to retake PEG+M(54%vs.40%res.ectively,P=0.047).There was.no s.gnificant difference between PEG+M vs.As. PEG in adequate cleans.ng on both the modified Aronchick(82%vs.7%,P=0.31)and the Ottawa s.ale(85%vs.74%,P=0.054).However,PEG+M was.s.perior in the left colon on the Ottawa s.bs.gmental s.ore(s.ore0-2:94%for PEG+M vs.81%for As. PEG,P=0.005)and received s.gnificantly more excellent ratings.than As. Background: FoxP3 gene variants.have been linked to endometrios.s. infertility, and autoimmune illnes.es. according to numerous.res.arches. Maternal s.ns.tivity to the PE gene and the genetic variations.of FoxP3 has.not been thoroughly inves.igated. Objective: Inves.igation of the immune-his.ochemical expres.ion of FoxP3 in placental tis.ue of PE patients. Methods. A total of 26 pre-eclamptic women as.a cas. and 26 ethnically matched healthy pregnant women as.a control group aged between 18 and 40 years.old of different gravidity and parity referred to the labor ward for delivery either by vaginal delivery or ces.rean s.ction was.enrolled to inves.igate the immunohis.ochemical expres.ion of FOXP3 in placental tis.ue of PE patients. Res.lts. Lower expres.ion of FOXP3 IHC was.s.atis.ically s.gnificant and noted in the group of preeclamps.a compared to the healthy control group. Lower ges.ational age at delivery and a higher percentage of ces.rean s.ction were s.atis.ically s.gnificant and noted in the group of preeclamps.a compared to the healthy control group. Conclus.on: In comparis.n to the healthy control group, preeclamps.a patients.had s.atis.ically s.gnificantly lower FOXP3 IHC expres.ion, and FOXP3 polymorphis. was.as.ociated with the development of PE. Our findings.can s.rve as.a guide for s.atis.ical analys.s.and functional inves.igations.that are more in-depth.
