BACKGROUND Antibody-mediated rejection following liver trans.lantation(LT)has.been increas.ngly recognized,particularly with res.ect to the emergence of de novo donor-s.ecific antibodies.Ds.s.and their impact on graft *** s.bs.antial evidence for adult populations.exis.s.res.arch focus.ng on pediatric LT outcomes.remains.*** To inves.igate the prevalence of human leukocyte antigen(hLA)mis.atches.and Ds. and evaluate their as.ociation with rejection epis.des.after pediatric *** A cohort of pediatric LT recipients.underwent hLA tes.ing at s.nta Cas. de Porto Alegre,Brazil,between December 2013 and December *** patients.who s.rvived for>30 days.after LT with at leas. one Ds. analys.s.were *** clas.es.I and II and cros.-matches.were *** pres.nce of de novo Ds.(dnDs.)was.evaluated at leas. 3 months.after LT us.ng the Luminex®s.ngle antigen bead method,with a pos.tive reaction thres.old s.t at 1000 *** epis.des.were confirmed by liver *** Overall,67 trans.lanted children were analyzed;61 received grafts.from living donors.85%of whom were related to ***-trans.lant Ds.(clas. Uncovering the dominant contribution of intermediate volatility compounds.in s.condary organic aeros.l formation from biomas.-burning emis.ions

Organic vapors.from biomas. burning are a major s.urce of s.condary organic aeros.ls.s.As.. Previous.s.og chamber s.udies.found that the s.A contributors.in biomas.-burning emis.ions.are mainly volatile organic compounds.VOCs.. While intermediate volatility organic compounds.IVOCs. are efficient s.A precurs.rs.and contribute a cons.derable fraction of biomas.-burning emis.ions. their contribution to s.A formation has.not been directly obs.rved. here, by deploying a newly-developed oxidation flow reactor to s.udy s.A formation from wood burning, we find that IVOCs.can contribute ～70% of the formed s.A, i.e.>2 times.more than VOCs. This.previous.y mis.ing s.A fraction is.interpreted to be due to the high wall los.es.of s.mi-volatile oxidation products.of IVOCs.in s.og chambers. The finding in this.s.udy reveals.that s.A production from biomas. burning is.much higher than previous.y thought, and highlights.the urgent need for more res.arch.on the IVOCs.from biomas. burning and potentially other emis.ion s.urces.

A multi-relaxation-time dis.rete Boltzmann model(DBM) with s.lit collis.on is.propos.d for both s.bs.nic and s.pers.nic compres.ible reacting flows. where chemical reactions.take place among various.components. The phys.cal model is.bas.d on a unified s.t of dis.rete Boltzmann equations.that des.ribes.the evolution of each chemical s.ecies.with adjus.able acceleration, s.ecific heat ratio, and Prandtl number. On the right-hand s.de of dis.rete Boltzmann equations. the collis.on,force, and reaction terms.denote the change rates.of dis.ribution functions.due to s.lf-and cros.collis.ons. external forces. and chemical reactions. res.ectively. The s.urce terms.can be calculated in three ways. among which the matrix invers.on method pos.es.es.the highes. phys.cal accuracy and computational efficiency. Through Chapman-Ens.og analys.s. it is.proved that the DBM is.cons.s.ent with the reactive Navier-s.okes.equations. Fick's.law and the s.efan-Maxwell diffus.on equation in the hydrodynamic limit. Compared with the one-s.ep-relaxation model, the s.lit collis.on model offers.a detailed and precis. des.ription of hydrodynamic, thermodynamic, and chemical nonequilibrium effects. Finally, the model is.validated by s.x benchmarks. including multicomponent diffus.on, mixture in the force field, Kelvin-helmholtz ins.ability, flame at cons.ant pres.ure, oppos.ng chemical reaction, and s.eady detonation.
