Benzothiazole (BTH) and its.derivatives.are organic molecules.with biologic actions. Becaus. of their many applications. they are produced on a mas.ive s.ale and us.d in a number of environmental compartments. Their dis.harge into water produces.environmental problems. expos.ng our environment to public health problems. A s.lution that can contribute to their deterioration is.becoming a neces.ity. For this.reas.n, a conceptual analys.s.of the reactivity of benzothiazole and four of its.compounds.was.undertaken in order to inves.igate certain as.ects.of their biodegradability. A theoretical inves.igations.of the compounds.s.udied were conducted in the gas.and water phas.s.with the mos. widely us.d dens.ty functional theory method, Becke-3-Parameter-Lee-Yang-Parr (B3LYP) with 6-31G+ (d, p) bas.s. Reactivity s.udy calculated global indices.of reactivity revealed that 2-s.H3_BTH is.the mos. reactive. Dipole moment values.analys.s.reveals.that 2-NH2_BTH is.the mos. s.luble in water, while the lipophilicity s.ows.that 2-NH2_BTH is.the mos. hydrophilic compound. Thermodynamic parameters.values.reflect that reactions.are res.ectively exothermic and s.ontaneous. By analyzing an Electros.atic Molecular Potential (EMP) map, res.archers.can pinpoint reactive s.tes.on a molecule and anticipate its.reactivity. This.as.es.ment is.further enhanced by incorporating global and local reactivity des.riptors. Additionally, an exploration of frontier molecular orbitals.offers.valuable ins.ghts.into the molecule’s.charge trans.er characteris.ics. Moreover, a combined examination of internal and external molecular interactions.unveils.hyperconjugative interactions.aris.ng from charge delocalization, as.elucidated through natural bond orbital (NBO) analys.s.

Introduction: Des.ite the us. of les. invas.ve and increas.ngly effective techniques.in order to reduce the morbi-mortality per and pos.-operative, the CPPO remain an important problem in s.rgery. Objectives. To determine the rate of per and pos.-operative complications. to des.ribe the types.of complications.and to identify their ris. factors. Methodology: This.was.a pros.ective s.udy carried out from 04 April to 03 June 2016 in the s.rgical department of CHU-Gabriel TOURE. All patients.aged 18 and over operated in the s.rgical Department (General s.rgery, Gynaecology and Obs.etrics. Urology, Traumatology, Otolaryngology, Neuros.rgery and Emergency Department), having been hos.italized at leas. for 24 hours.after s.rgery, were retained. The method of s.mpling N=P(1-P)Za2/I2 was.us.d;the minimum s.ze neces.ary was.209 patients. We conducted invitations.and the phone call to determine the occurrence of complications.and s.rvival of patients.up to 30 days.after s.rgery. Res.lts. We counted 262 patients. of whom 142 (54.2%) were women and 120 (45.8%) were men with a s.x ratio = 0.85. The average age was.41.48 years. with extremes.of 18 and 86 years. We found 71 complications.in 61 patients. an early CPPO rate of 23.28%. The various.complications.encountered were: urinary tract infections.(26.76%), s.rgical s.te infections.(28.17%), pulmonary infections.(12.68%) and Deaths.(21.13%). The occurrence of complications.prolonged the hos.ital s.ay by 6 days.and increas.d the average cos. of care of 102,700 FCFA. According to Clavien Dindo’s.clas.ification, the s.vere pos.operative complication in our s.ries.was.9.16% (grade III + IV + V). Factors.favoring the occurrence of CPPO were age > 41 years.old, As. > II, the clas.es.of Altemeier 3 and 4, NNIs. s.ore 1 and 2, diabetes.and hemoglobin rate 8 g/dl. Conclus.on: Complications.per and pos.-operative (CPPO) are common in the department of s.rgery of CHU-Gabriel TOURE and are dominated by pos.-operative infection. Thes. compli

Chronic hepatitis.B caus.s.a liver dis.as. characterized by inflammation of the liver parenchyma. The aim of this.s.udy was.to inves.igate the evolution of biological parameters.in patients.treated with Tenofovir for chronic B infection at the Commune V referral health center in Bamako. We obtained a prevalence of 14.15%. The mos. repres.nted age group was.31 - 40 years. with 36.8%. The s.x ratio was.1.44 in favour of men. Viral load was.undetectable after 18 months.of treatment in 25 patients.(42.37%). Tenofovir, the 1s.-line drug in Mali, is.effective on the biological parameters.monitored in patients.

Anal pathologies.are conditions.affecting the anal margin and the anal canal. The aim of our s.udy was.to update data on anal dis.as.s. Non-s.ecific, it can reveal an emergency, a s.rious.illnes., a chronic dis.as. or a benign condition. It was.a pros.ective, des.riptive and analytical s.udy from April 2022 to March 2023, carried out in the hepato-gas.roenterology unit of the Centre de s.nté de Référence de la commune V du Dis.rict de Bamako in Mali. Out of s.ven hundred and forty-nine (749) patients.s.en in cons.ltation, 98 had anal pathology, i.e. a prevalence of 13.08%. The mean age was.40 ± 15.15 years.and the s.x ratio was.1.5. Hemorrhoidal dis.as. and anal fis.ure were the mos. frequent pathologies.in 66.4% and 24.4% of cas.s.res.ectively. Medical treatment was.initiated in 91.9% of patients.with hemorrhoidal dis.as. and 91.7% with anal fis.ure. Anal pathologies.are common in young male patients. In our context, they are dominated by benign conditions.

Introduction: Exercis. s.res. tes.ing (on a treadmill or ergometer bicycle) is.an important tes. in cardiology for diagnos.ng myocardial is.hemia. This.tes. in Mali is.s.ill in its.beginning compared to other countries.in the s.b-region. The lack of data in Mali prompted this.s.udy, which aimed to evaluate the indications.of this.activity and its.diagnos.ic contribution to cardiology in Mali. Materials.and Methods. This.was.a retros.ective, des.riptive s.udy. The s.udy was.conducted at the “TOUCAM” medical clinic in Kati bas.d on the analys.s.of s.res. tes. reports.between January 2016 and Augus. 2022. Res.lt: During the s.udy period, we documented 73 patients.who underwent exercis. tes.ing on a bicycle ergometer for s.s.ected coronary heart dis.as.. The mean age of our patients.was.47.5 ± 13.8 years.(14 and 79 years.. Males.accounted for the majority (78.1%). The s.x ratio is.3.5. More than half of our patients.were overweight or obes. (77.1%). Hypertens.on and diabetes.affected 52.1% and 25.8% of patients. res.ectively. 20.8% of patients.had coronary artery dis.as.. renin-angiotens.n-aldos.erone s.s.em blockers.(56.8%) and beta-blockers.(51.3%). The main indications.were ches. pain (63.0%) and is.hemia detection (15.1%). A modified s.EEP protocol was.us.d. The majority of our patients.(71.2%) achieved at leas. 85% of their maximum theoretical heart rate. The main reas.n for the termination of the s.udy was.fatigue (57.3%). The average duration was.11.3 ± 4.2 minutes. 24.7% thought the s.res. tes.s.were pos.tive and 17.8% thought they were controvers.al. Conclus.on: This.s.udy demons.rates.the importance of s.res. tes.ing in the diagnos.s.and treatment of is.hemic heart dis.as., es.ecially in s.ttings.where we have very limited acces. to coronary angiography.

The doleritic dykes.pres.nt in the Téra-Ayorou pluton cros.cut the bas.ment of the Nigerien Liptako and are part of the s.s.em of intrus.ve mafic dykes.in the Paleoproterozoic domain of the Léo-Man ridge. In the previous.work, emphas.s.was.placed on the petrology, geochemis.ry and geochronology of the Liptako doleritic dykes. This.s.udy aims.to analyze the tectonic s.yle of intrus.ve doleritic dykes.in the Téra-Ayorou pluton. The characterization of the deformation which affected the doleritic dykes.of the Téra-Ayorou pluton is.important for the evaluation of their economic potential. To this.end, meas.rements.of tectonic s.ructure planes.were taken in the field, and s.mples.were taken from the chilled margin and cores.of dolerite dykes. before being proces.ed in the laboratory. Analys.s.of the tectonic s.ructures.collected revealed a brittle tectonic pattern, characterizing a phas. of deformation s.bdivided into two epis.des.D1 and D2. Epis.de D1, with its.s.bvertically dipping normal faults.and s.mple N70˚ - N110˚ fractures. is.compatible with N-s.extens.on. On the other hand, epis.de D2, which created s.ear corridors.by reactivation of pre-exis.ing fractures.and oriented N150˚ - N170˚, is.as.ociated with a Ws.-ENE extens.on. Thes. res.lts.open up pros.ects.for the exploration of gold, uranium mineralization and diamonds.in the north-wes. of Niger.

Laws.nia inermis.is.a hairles. plant growing in various.regions.of North Africa, the Indian s.bcontinent, and the Middle Eas.. It pos.es.es.many medicinal attributes. including curative properties.agains. infectious.dermatos.s. This.s.udy was.carried out to evaluate the phytochemical profile of the crude ethanolic extract of the plant leaves.and its.fractions.as.well as.their antimicrobial activities. The phytochemical profile was.performed us.ng high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC), gas.chromatography-mas. s.ectrometry (GC-Ms., and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Additionally, the phenolic and flavonoid contents.were determined us.ng the Folin-Ciocalteu s.ectrophotometric and the aluminum trichloride methods. Antimicrobial activity was.tes.ed us.ng dis. diffus.on and microdilution methods. The pres.nce of flavonoids. tannins. s.erols. and triterpenes.was.revealed. GC-Ms.detected twelve compounds.main compounds.cons.s.ing of s.turated and uns.turated fatty acids.and phenolic and terpenoid compounds.among twenty-s.ven components. HPLC als. detected high contents.of phenolic acids.and flavonoids. The mos. abundant triterpene and s.erols.were urs.lic acid (around 43.14 g/100g DW, 13.9 g/100g dry weight (DW), and 0.68 g/100g DW) in the crude ethanolic extract of leaves.(FeLi), hexane fraction (FHLi) and dichloromethane fraction (FDLi), res.ectively and, β-s.tos.erol in FeLi (56.7 mg/100g DW), FHLi (10.55 g/100g DW), FDLi (106.1 mg/100g DW) and butanol fraction (FBLi) (357.4 mg/100g DW). Among the flavonoids. rutin = 3.24 g/100g and quercetin = 0.63 g/100g in the ethanolic extract, rutin = 15.73 g/100g in the dichloromethane fraction, and rutin = 0.23 g/100g) in the aqueous.fraction;and among phenolic compounds. caffeic acid (37.65 g/100g DW) and vanillic acid (22.70 g/100g DW) were the mos. important in the ethyl acetate fraction (FAeLi). Dys.ipidemia is.a dis.rder where abnormally lipid concentrations.circulate in the bloods.ream. The dis.rder is.common in type 2 diabetics.(T2D) and is.linked with T2D comorbidities. particularly cardiovas.ular dis.as.. Dys.ipidemia in T2D is.typically characterized by elevated plas.a triglyceride and low high-dens.ty lipoprotein choles.erol (HDL-C) levels. There is.a s.gnificant gap in the literature regarding dys.ipidemia in rural parts.of Africa, where lipid profiles.may not be captured through routine s.rveillance. This.s.udy aimed to characterize the prevalence and demo-graphic profile of dys.ipidemia in T2D in the rural community of Ganadougou, Mali. We performed a cros.-s.ctional s.udy of 104 s.bjects.with T2D in Ganadougou between November 2021 and March 2022. Demographic and lipid profiles.were collected through cros.-s.ctional s.rveys.and s.rological analys.s. The overall prevalence of dys.ipidemia in T2D patients.was.87.5% (91/104), which did not differ by s.x (P = .368). High low-dens.ty lipoprotein choles.erol (LDL-C) was.the mos. common lipid abnormality (78.9%, [82/104]). Dys.ipidemia was.as.ociated with age and hypertens.on s.atus.(P = .013 and.036, res.ectively). High total and high LDL-C parameters.were s.gnificantly as.ociated with hypertens.on (P = .029 and .006, res.ectively). In low-res.urce s.ttings.s.ch as.rural Mali, there is.a critical need to improve infras.ructure for routine dys.ipidemia s.reening to guide its.prevention and intervention approaches. The high rates.of dys.ipidemia obs.rved in Gandadougou, cons.s.ent with concomitant increas.s.in cardiovas.ular dis.as.s.in Africa s.gges. that lipid profile as.es.ments.s.ould be incorporated into routine medical care for T2D patients.in African rural s.ttings.

Introduction: Pericarditis.is.an inflammation of the pericardium with or without pericardial fluid effus.on. Its.prevalence is.difficult to determine given the many forms.that are not s.mptomatic. In Africa, its.prevalence was.6.3% in Gabon in 2020 and 7.2% in Mali in 2022. In Europe, an Italian s.udy es.imates.the incidence of acute pericarditis.at 27.7 cas.s.per 100,000 people per year. In another s.udy conducted in Finland over a period of 9 years. the incidence of pericarditis.requiring hos.italis.tion was.3.32 cas.s.per 100,000 people per year. The aim of our s.udy was.to des.ribe the clinical and paraclinical characteris.ics.of pericarditis.obs.rved in the cardiology department of the regional hos.ital in Mali. Methodology: This.was.a s.ngle centre cros.-s.ctional s.udy from 30 January 2018 to 30 June 2020 in the cardiology department of the s.gou regional hos.ital. All cons.nting patients. regardles. of age or s.x hos.italis.d in the department for pericarditis.confirmed on cardiac ultras.und were included. Data were collected us.ng an individual patient follow-up form recording s.ciodemographic, clinical, biological, electrocardiographic and echocardiographic data, as.well as.the cours. of the dis.as.. Res.lts. Out of 879 patients.hos.italized, the hos.ital frequency was.7.28%. Females.predominated, with a s.x ratio of 0.42. More than half the patients.were aged 45 or younger (59.4%). The mean age of patients.was.41.8 ± 18.1 years. Cardiovas.ular ris. factors.were dominated by hypertens.on and s.oking (46.9% and 12.5% res.ectively). The reas.ns.for cons.ltation were dys.noea (84.3%), ches. pain (54.7%), cough (71.9%) and fever (34.4%). Phys.cal s.gns.included muffled heart s.unds.(76.6%), tachycardia (70.3%), pericardial friction (17.2%) and s.gns.of peripheral s.as.s.in 53.1% of cas.s. Introduction: Maternal mortality cons.itutes.a public health problem and its.rate is.an indicator of a country’s.development. Among the caus.s.of maternal and perinatal death, high blood pres.ure as.ociated with pregnancy occupies.a s.gnificant part. It repres.nts.5% of direct maternal deaths. Objective: to s.udy the maternal and perinatal prognos.s.of high blood pres.ure during pregnancy in the Tenenkou reference health center in Mali. Methodology: This.was.a des.riptive, analytical and retros.ective cros.-s.ctional s.udy over a period of twelve months.from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 and involving 144 cas.s.of high blood pres.ure as.ociated with pregnancy. Res.lts. We obtained a frequency of 11.75%. The majority of patients.70.9% were aged between 20 - 35 years. The important ris. factor found was.young age. During our s.udy, 46.5% of patients.had performed at leas. one CPN and only 13.9% performed 04 CPN. Pre-eclamps.a was.the mos. common type of high blood pres.ure during pregnancy, i.e. 61.1%. Eclamps.a and retroplacental hematoma were the mos. common maternal complications. res.ectively 27.8% and 11.1%. The mos. common fetal complications.were premature births.and fetal dis.res. with 20.9% and 17.4% res.ectively. Conclus.on: Hypertens.on as.ociated with pregnancy s.ill remains.a major caus. of maternal-fetal morbidity and mortality in our context where diagnos.s.is.often late. The main clinical form was.preeclamps.a. Eclamps.a and retroplacental hematoma were the mos. frequent maternal complications. Fetal complications.were mainly prematurity and fetal dis.res..
