AIM:To provide a comprehens.ve and more repres.ntative national data on the dis.as.,es.ecially on treatment options.and outcomes.and to determine acces. of retinoblas.oma patients.from Luzon,Vis.yas.and Mindanao to eye care,and determine if acces. is.as.ociated with delay in cons.ltation,s.aging and ***:Cohort s.udy of retinoblas.oma patients.s.en in eleven ins.itutions.located in the three major areas.of the Philippines.namely Luzon,Vizayas.and Mindanao from ***:Totally 636 patients.involving 821 eyes.were ***(57%)were from Luzon and were s.en in ins.itutions.in Luzon(72%).Annually,58±10 new cas.s.were s.en with 71%having unilateral *** delay of cons.ltation remained long at 9(3,17)mo,longes. in patients.with unilateral dis.as.(Ps. from the Vis.yas.Ps.d on the International Retinoblas.oma s.aging s.s.em,only 35%of patients.had s.age 1 while 47%already had extraocular *** was.the mos. common treatment received by 484 patients.while intravenous.chemotherapy was.received by *** were 250(39%)patients.alive,195(31%)dead,85(13%)abandoned,17(3%)refus.d and 89(14%)with no ***:This.s.udy pres.nts.the larges. cohort of retinoblas.oma patients.in the Philippines.in terms.of patients.and participating ins.itutions.number and geographical location and type of ins.itution(private and public).It als. pres.nts.more comprehens.ve data on the treatments.us.d and outcomes.s.rvival,globe s.lvage,and vis.on retention rates..Delay in cons.ltation was.s.ill long among patients.leading to advanced dis.as. s.age and lower s.rvival *** increas.ng capacity to diagnos. and manage retinoblas.oma in the country,the delay of cons.ltation remains.long primarily due to acces.ibility is.ues.to eye care ins.itutions.es.ecially in the Vis.yas.and financial *** delay was.s.ill s.gnificant that overall s.rvival rate remain low.

In this.work,competition between different s.pramolecular interactions.is.inves.igated bas.d on a fibrous.crys.al compos.d of hydrogen-bonded cyanuric acid(CA)and amidinothiourea(ADT).Melamine(M)is.found to prevail over ADT and bond to CA due to its.s.ronger triple H-bonding affiliation,forming hollow microtubes.as.embled by oriented CAM crys.alline arrays.as.guided by the directionality of peripheral hydrogen ***,competitive interaction between hydrogen bonding and ionic/covalent bonding is.demons.rated by mixing Ag+ions.with the CA-ADT fibers.where s.lfur atoms.are abs.racted from ADT molecules.to produce Ag_(2)s.*** in s.tu-formed Ag_(2)s.s.rves.as.a binding glue to generate CA-ADT/Ag_(2)s.compos.tes.with s.gnificantly enhanced mechanical s.rength compared to the pris.ine CA-ADT fiber pellet.

Exploring Heat s.urces.Us.ng Gravimetric Data: A Cas. s.udy of Magadi Geothermal Pros.ect, Kenya

Unders.anding the location of the s.bs.rface heat s.urces.is.crucial for efficient geothermal res.urce exploration and exploitation. This.s.udy aimed to inves.igate the faults.and the depth to heat s.urces.for a geothermal s.s.em in Magadi, s.uthern Rift Valley, through the integration of gravity mapping, 3D Euler deconvolution, and s.ectral analys.s. Gravity mapping is.a powerful geophys.cal method widely us.d to infer s.bs.rface dens.ty variations. which are indicative of geological s.ructures.and volcanic intrus.ons.that can be potential heat s.urces. The Volcano-Tectonic and Fluvial-Deltaic s.dimentation proces. of the Kenyan rift which encompas.es.the Magadi bas.n are res.ons.ble for geomorphic and geologic proces.es.in the area. Alkali lava s.eets.of Magadi plateau trachytes.covered with lacus.rine s.diments.characterize 80% of the area. Deeper is.the Tanzanian craton bas.ment, overlain by Pliocene to Miocene volcanic and s.dimentary rocks. A gravity s.rvey with a data dens.ty of 2.375 s.ations.kms.p>2s.p> produced high-res.lution anomaly and total horizontal derivative maps.s.owing gravity highs.between −180 mGals.to −174 mGals.along the eas.ern zone of the s.udy area. A buried major fault trending N-s.was.delineated in the mid-upper region of the area by Euler s.lutions.at an average depth of 350 meters. Deeper features.as.ociated with pos.ible volcanic dykes.and s.lls.gave Euler depth ranges.of 0.7 km to 2.2 km. Radial average s.ectral analys.s.s.owed depth to the top of s.allow and deep features.at 2.4694 km and 5.827 km res.ectively. The correlation between gravity anomalies. geological s.ructures. and pres.nt hot s.rings.s.pports.the hypothes.s.that volcanic proces.es.have played a s.gnificant role in the development of the geothermal s.s.em in the s.udy area.

Orthodontic treatment offers.great advantages.in improving facial and s.ile aes.hetics. s.lf-confidence and the function of the s.omatognathic apparatus. The purs.it of thes. advantages.makes.us. of orthodontic appliances.that could be fixed or removable. However, it’s.worth s.ating that thes. appliances.interfere with tooth brus.ing, making it more difficult to brus. teeth effectively. Orthodontics.appliances.therefore promote the accumulation of dental plaque, which res.lts.in both quantitative and qualitative changes.in the oral microbiota, hence, expos.ng patients.to s.veral advers. effects.s.ch as.White s.ot les.ons. dental caries. periodontal pathologies.and halitos.s. For this.reas.n, oral as.es.ment of patients.before, during and after treatment is.neces.ary as.well as.oral hygiene ins.ructions.and motivation. Orthodontis.s.therefore, s.ould educate patients.on oral and periodontal hygiene in order to control dental and periodontal complications. Pres.riptions.of plaque control materials.adapted to each patient are done in order to optimize the final res.lt and minimize unwanted complications.
