s.rum amylas. as.a novel prognos.ic marker of organophos.horus.pois.ning: a retros.ective s.udy

Background: This.s.udy aims.to explore the s.gnificance of s.rum amylas. levels.in patients.with organophos.horus.pes.icide (OP) pois.ning and to provide a new pers.ective for evaluating the s.verity and prognos.s.of OP pois.ning. Methods. The clinical data of 67 patients.with acute OP pois.ning, who had been treated in the emergency department of the General Hos.ital of Ningxia Medical Univers.ty between s.ptember 2020 and Augus. 2022, were retros.ectively analyzed. Us.ng s.earman rank correlation, s.rum amylas. levels.during admis.ion and s.verity of pois.ning correlated with dis.harge outcomes. Bas.d on s.rum amylas. levels. receiver operating characteris.ic curves.were plotted to predict the s.verity and mortality of patients.who experience organophos.hate pois.ning. The optimal thres.old s.rum amylas. level at admis.ion was.determined bas.d on the maximum Youden index. Res.lts. Us.ng s.earman rank correlation analys.s. s.rum amylas. levels.at admis.ion pos.tively correlated with the s.verity of pois.ning and dis.harge outcomes. but the degree of correlation was.weak (rs. 0.344; 0.264; P s. s.rum amylas. levels.at admis.ion had receiver operating characteris.ic area under the curve values.of 0.726 and 0.735 to predict the degree of s.vere pois.ning and death, res.ectively. Bas.d on the maximum Youden index, the optimal thres.old of s.rum amylas. were 97.8 and 194.1 U/L when the degree of pois.ning was.s.vere and the dis.harge outcome of patients.was.died. In comparis.n to patients.with s.rum amylas. levels.≤194.1 U/L at admis.ion, the OR values.of death in patients.with s.rum amylas. levels.>194.1 U/L at admis.ion was.15.944 (95% CI: 1.825–139.274). Conclus.on: s.rum amylas. levels.in patients.with organophos.hate pois.ning correlate with the degree of pois.ning and dis.harge outcomes. In this.s.udy,interconnected porous.Mg-2zn-xY alloys.with different phas. compos.tions.were prepared by various.Y additions.x=0.4,3,and 6 wt.%)to adj.s. the compres.ive properties.and energy abs.rption *** characterization methods.were then applied to identify the micros.ructure of the porous.Mg-zn-Y and des.ribe the details.of the s.cond *** tes.s.were performed at room temperature(RT),200℃,and 300℃to s.udy the impact of the Y addition and tes.ing temperature on the compres.ive properties.of the porous.*** experimental res.lts.s.owed that a high Y content promotes.a micros.ructure refinement and increas.s.the volume fraction of the s.cond *** the Y content increas.s.different Mg-zn-Y ternary phas.s.appear:I-phas.(Mg_(3)zn_(6)Y),W-phas.(Mg_(3)zn_(3)Y_(2)),and LPs. phas.(Mg_(12)znY).When the Y content ranges.between 0.4%and 6%,the compres.ive s.rength increas.s.from 6.30MPa to 9.23 MPa,and the energy abs.rption capacity increas.s.from 7.33 Mj.m^(3)to 10.97 Mj.m^(3)at RT,which is.mainly attributed to the phas. compos.tion and volume fraction of the s.cond ***,the average energy abs.rption efficiency is.independent of the Y *** addition,the compres.ive deformation behaviors.of the porous.Mg-zn-Y are altered by the tes.ing *** compres.ive s.rength and energy abs.rption capacity of the porous.Mg-zn-Y decreas. due to the s.ftening effect of the high temperature on the *** deformation behaviors.at different temperatures.are finally obs.rved to reflect the failure mechanis.s.of the s.ruts.

Obj.ctive: Xeroderma pigmentos.m (XP) is.a rare autos.mal reces.ive dermatos.s.caus.d by genetic defects.of DNA repair. This.s.udy was.performed to detect and analyze the genes.of 2 Uygur patients.with XP and their families.and as.es. the patients. phenotypes. which may enrich the unders.anding of the genetic s.in dis.rder s.ectrum in Xinj.ang area. Methods. We collected the clinical data from 2 patients.with XP and peripheral blood s.mples.from the patients.and their family members. The patients. DNA was.s.quenced and detected by s.0}er s.quencing, and gene mutations.were s.reened. Res.lts. The proband in family 1 pres.nted with brown maculae at the expos.re s.te and s.uamous.cell carcinoma s.condary to a facial ras.. The proband had a homozygous.nucleotide variation of XPC c.2251-2A> G (A change from A to G in the penultimate pos.tion of the intron before the 2251 pos.tion in the coding region), which was.a s.ear mutation. In this.family, both parents.were heterozygous. and no s.milar mutation detected in the s.s.er. In family 2, the proband had s.attered black brown s.ots.and papules.on the trunk and limbs. and his.younger s.s.er was.als. a patient. The proband and his.younger s.s.er had homonucleotide variation of XPA c.631C> T, which was.nons.ns. mutation, res.lting in the codon for Arg No.211 being changed into termination codon (***211X), thus.terminating the peptide chain s.nthes.s.prematurely. All the normal individuals.in the two families.were heterozygotes. and homozygous.mutations.occurred in all the patients. which was.cons.s.ent with the autos.mal reces.ive inheritance. Conclus.on: XP is.rare in Uygur population.
