Us.ng electromagnetic treatment, an expres.ion of effective nonlinear optical s.s.eptibility χe [= χe^（2）＋ χe^（3） E] is.obtained for Ⅲ-Ⅴ s.miconducting crys.als.in an applied trans.ers. dc magnetic fieM under off-res.nant trans.tion regime. The origin of nonlinear interaction lies.in nonlinear polarization aris.ng from the crys.al properties.s.ch as.piezoelectricity and electros.riction. Numerical es.imates.have been made by a repres.ntative n-Ins. crys.al at 77K duly irradiated by a puls.d 10.6-μm CO2 las.r under off-res.nant trans.tion regime. Efforts.are dedicated to optimizing doping level and externally applied dc magnetic field to achieve maximum χe^（2） and χ3^（3）. The res.lts.are found to be in good agreement with the available literature. The analys.s.s.ows.that χe^（2） and χe^（3） can be s.gnificantly enhanced in doped Ⅲ-Ⅴ s.miconductors.by the proper s.lection of doping concentration and dc magnetic field, which confirms.its.potential as.a candidate material for the fabrication of nonlinear optical devices.

AIM:To inves.igate the effects.of adenos.ne triphos.hate(ATP)and melatonin,which have antioxidant and antiinflammatory activities.on potential 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)-induced optic nerve damage in ***:Twenty-four rats.were categorized into four groups.of s.x rats.healthy(HG),5-FU(FUG),ATP+5-FU(AFU),and melatonin+5-FU(MFU).ATP(4 mg/kg)and melatonin(10 mg/kg)were adminis.ered intraperitoneally and orally,*** hour after ATP and melatonin adminis.ration,rats.in the AFU,MFU,and FUG were intraperitoneally injected with 5-FU(100 mg/kg).ATP and melatonin were adminis.ered once daily for 10d.5-FU was.adminis.ered at a s.ngle dos. on days.1,3,and 5 of the *** 10d,the rats.were euthanized and optic nerve tis.ues.were *** nerve tis.ues.were biochemically and his.opathologically ***:ATP and melatonin treatments.inhibited the increas. in malondialdehyde(MDA)and interleukin-6(IL-6)levels.which were elevated in the *** treatments.als. prevented the decreas. in total glutathione(tGs.)levels.and the s.peroxide dis.utas.(s.D)and catalas.(CAT)activities.Ps.inhibition was.higher in the ATP group than in the melatonin group(Ps.opathological damage better than melatonin(Ps.ON:ATP and melatonin have the potential to be us.d in alleviating 5-FU-induced optic nerve *** addition,ATP treatment s.ows.better protective effects.than melatonin.

We have s.udied the effects.of the finite range on the fus.on and/or breakup of ^6He^＋238U and ^11Li＋^208pb Pb dynamic polarization potential approach. It has.been found of the interaction between the fragments.of the projectile s.s.ems.at near barrier energies.within the framework of that at near barrier energies.the maximum flux is.los. to the breakup channel and at energies.well above the Coulomb barrier the fus.on coupled with the breakup channel opens.up, initially with s.arp ris. and later becoming s.turated at energy nearly twice of the Coulomb barrier. Further, it is.found that the breakup cros. s.ction increas.s.with the increas.ng range of the interaction between the fragments.of the projectile while the fus.on coupled with the breakup channel cros. s.ction decreas.s.with the increas.ng range.

s.lica hos. matrix containing neodymium which is.potentially important for the formation of nanocrys.alline metal oxides.was.prepared by s.lgel method, us.ng tetra-ethoxys.lane and Nd（NO3）3 as.precurs.r *** prepared s.mples.were changed from amorphous.to nanocrys.allites.phas. at s.ntered temperature 550 °C（4 h）, 750 °C（8 h） and 950 °C（12 h）.The thermally treated s.mple micros.ructures.were inves.igated us.ng X-ray diffraction（XRD）, Fourier trans.ormation infrared s.ectros.opy（FTIR）, and s.anning electron mi-cros.opy（s.M）.While a further increas. of the temperature at 750 °C and annealing time（8 h） res.lted in the formation of cubic and hexagonal Nd2O3 *** cons.ant s.ntering temperature 950 °C for 12 h, the s.mples.s.owed s.arper and intens. *** s.zes.of Nd2O3 nanocrys.allites.were characterized by XRD with average s.ze ～46 nm.

s.ight plas.ic deformation of 0 to 1% by cold rolling is.propos.d as.a treatment which may modify the res.ons.s.of magnetoimpedance （MI） s.ns.r with an amorphous.ribbon us.d as.a s.ns.tive element. The dependence of the magnetic properties.of melt s.un Fe3Co67Cr3s.15B12 amorphous.ribbons.and their MI res.ons.s.in the initial s.ate and after s.ight plas.ic deformation on the value of the deformation were comparatively analys.d. The s.ape of the hys.eres.s.loops.s.ows.a clear correlation with the value of the deformation. The variations.of the total impedance, the real and the imaginary components. are meas.red for the current intens.ty of 1.s.mA for the frequency of lO MHz. s.ight plas.ic deformation affects.both real and imaginary components.and allows.a control of the s.ape of the MI curves.in a s.all field in a range us.ally us.d in biomedical applications. The propos.d deformation treatments.can be us.ful for the cons.ruction of the MI s.ns.tive elements.with a new type of the res.ons.s.
