Large-signal （L-s） characterizations of double-drift region （DDR） impact avalanche transit time （IM- PATT） devices based on group III-V semiconductors such as wurtzite （Wz） GaN, GaAs and InP have been carried out at both millimeter-wave （mm-wave） and terahertz （THz） frequency bands. A L-s simulation technique based on a non-sinusoidal voltage excitation （NsVE） model developed by the authors has been used to obtain the high frequency properties of the above mentioned devices. The effect of band-to-band tunneling on the L-s properties of the device at different mm-wave and THz frequencies are also investigated. similar studies are also carried out for DDR IMPATTs based on the most popular semiconductor material, i.e. si, for the sake of comparison. A compara- tive study of the devices based on conventional semiconductor materials （i.e. GaAs, InP and si） with those based on Wz-GaN shows significantly better performance capabilities of the latter at both mm-wave and THz frequencies.

Mid-Ocean Ridge Basalts （MORB） from the Northern Central Indian Ridge （NCIR） were recovered between latitudes 3° and 11° s and are olivine tholeiite with higher abundances of K and Rb. They are of typical transitional MORB （T-MORB） variety and appear to have been generated from an enriched-mantle peridotite source. The primitive NCIR MORBs having Mg^# 〉 0.68 are the product of partial melting at an estimated pressure of - 1 GPa. It is inferred that the magma was subsequently modified at a pressure 〉 1 GPa by crystal fractionation and spinel was the first mineral to crystallize followed by separation of relatively Fe-rich olivine with subsequent decrease in pressure. During progressive fractionation at lower pressure （between 1-0.5 GPa）, the bulk composition of the magma became systematically depleted in MgO, and enriched in ∑FeO, TiO2, P2Os and Na20. There was, however, limited gradual depletion in Al2O3 and CaO and concomitant enrichment in K20. With the progressive fractionation these basalts became gradually enriched in V, Co, Y, Zr and to some extent in sr, and depleted in Ni and Cro In addition, the T_JtEE of the magma also increased with fractionation, without any change in （La/Yb）n value.

severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(sARs-CoV-2)is a novel beta-coronavirus that has emerged and caused a global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).1,2 Clinical manifestations of COVID-19 are age dependent,with children appearing to be less vulnerable than adults to severe disease.3,4 It has been reported that a subset of children and adults without previous infection had higher levels of humoral and cellular immunity to sARs-CoV-2,which may influence disease severity.5,6,7,8 Another study found that children who had never been exposed to sARs-CoV-2 had higher levels of cross-reactive antibodies to the spike glycoprotein subunit s2 of sARs-CoV-2 than adults.9 These findings raise the hypothesis that children may have a higher degree of preexisting cross-reactive immunity that provides some level of protection from severe *** this study,we determined antibody responses to sARs-CoV-2 in adults after infection and compared these responses in both children and adults with no prior exposure to ***,we mapped antibody epitopes elicited after infection,and cross-reactive antibody epitopes without prior sARs-CoV-2 infection,at high resolution using sARs-CoV-2 spike protein peptide arrays.

In the near future, humans will go to Mars. During these interplanetary journeys, astronaut safety will be paramount. This study aims to determine whether the astronauts will be able to launch safely from Mars in a space shuttle taking off perpendicularly. This study used kinematics along with equations for calculating atmospheric density and total force on the spacecraft to evaluate these values for each atmospheric layer. Approximations were made for the spacecraft’s dimensions to find the cross-sectional front-view area of the spacecraft and the drag coefficient where verifiable data was unavailable. Although there is data for the dimensions of the spacecraft’s front view, there isn’t any on its area. The total force was found to be significantly lower than 3Gs which ensures a safe take-off for the astronauts and reduces manufacturing costs for assembling new rockets.

Thermoelectric performance largely depends on the reduction of lattice thermal conductivity(kL).The study of the thermal conductivity(k)of a sb_(2)Te_(3)/graphite nanocomposite system demonstrates-40%reduction in kL with graphite incorporation.A plausible explanation of intrinsic low kL observed in sb_(2)Te_(3) based system is presented by modeling experimental specific heat(Cp)*** spectroscopy measurement combined to X-Ray diffraction data confirms the presence of graphite as separate phase in the composite *** is found that phonon scattering dominates heat transport mechanism in the nanostructured sb_(2)Te_(3)/graphite *** reduction in kL is accomplished by intensifying scattering rate of phonons via various *** introduces effective scattering sources,i.e.,defects of different dimensionalities in synthesized nanocomposite ***,graphite mediates phonon-phonon coupling and enhances lattice anharmonicity,which causes an intrinsic scattering of phonons with all frequencies in the sb_(2)Te_(3)/graphite nanocomposite *** density and phonon anharmonicity of the synthesized samples are estimated from in depth analysis of temperature dependent synchrotron powder diffraction and Raman spectroscopic *** value as low as 0.8 W m1 K1 at 300 K,achieved with graphite dispersion in sb_(2)Te_(3) based composite system makes the present comprehensive study an interesting concept to be developed in thermoelectric materials.

We present a study of the star 2MAss J22472238＋5801214 with the aim of identifying its true nature which has hitherto been uncertain. This object, which is a member of the young cluster NGC 7380, has been variously proposed to be a Be star, a D-type symbiotic and a Herbig Ae/Be star in separate studies. Here we present optical spectroscopy, near-IR photometry and narrow band Hα imaging of the nebulosity in its environment. Analysis of all these results, including the spectral energy distribution constructed from available data, strongly indicate the source to be a Herbig Ae/Be star. The star is found to be accompanied by a nebulosity with an interesting structure. A bow-shock shaped structure, similar to a cometary nebula, is seen very close to the star with its apex oriented towards the photoionizing source of this region （i.e. the star DH Cep）. An interesting spectroscopic finding, from the forbidden [stI] 6716, 6731A and [OI] 6300A lines, is the detection of a blue-shifted high velocity outflow （200 -t-50 km s-1） from the star.

3D visualization using pulsed and CW digital holographic tomography techniques

The physical and electrical characteristics of atomic layer deposited RuO2 nanocrystals embedded in high-κ HfO2/Al2O3 films in an n-si/siO2/HfO2/RuO2/Al2O3/Pt memory structure have been investigated. A small size of sity of 1.6×1012/cm2 for the RuO2 nanocrystals have been observed by high-resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM). The RuO2 metal nanocrystals and all high-κ films have been confirmed by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPs). A large hysteresis memory window of △V≈10.8 V at a gate voltage of Vg = ±10 V has been observed for RuO2 nanocrystal memory capacitors. A hysteresis memory window of △V≈2.4 V has also been observed under a small sweeping gate voltage of Vg = ±5 V, due to charge storage in the RuO2 metal nanocrystals. The RuO2 metal nanocrystal memory capacitors have a large breakdown voltage of -15V. A low charge loss of 15% is observed after 10 years of retention.

We outline the use of digital holographic tomography to determine the three-dimensional （3D） shapes of falling and static objects, such as lenslets and water droplets. Reconstruction of digitally recorded inline holograms is performed using multiplicative and Radon transform techniques to reveal the exact 3D shapes of the objects.
