A multi-shot target assembly and automatic alignment procedure for laser–plasma proton acceleration at high repetition rate are *** assembly is based on a multi-target rotating wheel capable of hosting more than 5000 targets,mounted on a 3D motorized stage to allow rapid replenishment and alignment of the target material between laser *** automatic alignment procedure consists of a detailed mapping of the impact positions at the target surface prior to the irradiation that ensures stable operation of the target,which alongside the purpose-built design of the target wheel,enables operation at rates up to 10 *** and continuous laser-driven proton acceleration at 10 Hz is demonstrated,with observed cut-off energy stability about 15%.

cu?Ni nano-alloys were prepared using precursors synthesized by the citrate-gel method. The effects of initial solution pH value and calcination temperature on the composition, crystalline structure, purity, morphology, homogeneity and grain size of cu?Ni nanoparticles were investigated. Both the parameters significantly affect the crystalline structure, composition and grain size. cu?Ni alloys prepared at pH value of 1 do not contain impurities, and their compositions are cu0.42Ni0.58, cu0.45Ni0.55 and cu0.52Ni0.48 reduced at 300, 400 and 500 °c, respectively. The grain size grows with the increase of calcination temperature for the precursor prepared at pH values of 1.6 and 3. The Ni content of the alloys gradually increases with the increase of calcination temperature at pH value of 3.

The work＇s main purpose was to design and implement a model of agricultural production for the attention of food demand of the coal complex in the center of the department of cesar, colombia, by mounting Profitable Productive Units in rural areas of the zone with mining influence. The aforementioned rural communities are at a socioeconomic disadvantage concerning to the local economic development policies. It was taken a rural society with socio-economic conditions at a disadvantage, level 1 in the classification scale of 1 to 5 of colombia, several associations were organized in each one of the affected municipalities with strong agricultural vocation to train them in profitable production strategies, authors performed technical and technological support for 12 months. In synthesis, there were meaningful differences among gross income per month of people who worked in the projects of the Young Rural Entrepreneurs, a fact confirmed by the P-value 0.00000005 （Prob. 〉 F） and the F-value 29.3, both denote the significance statistic for this case is best gross income per month of persons covered by the program, this implies that for a person of the rural community it is more meaningful economically linked to the SENA＇s Young Rural Entrepreneurs, in contrast to search for jobs in the informal sector, there is even an average value of 530.000 cOP/month （about 265 US/month） higher than the statutory minimum wage for 2009, equivalent to 497.000 cOP/month （about 245 US/month）.

Phase change materials(PcMs) designate materials able to store latent *** change state from solid to liquid over a defined temperature *** process is reversible and can be used for thermo-technical *** present paper aims to study the thermal performance of an inorganic eutectic PcM integrated into the rooftop slab of a test room and analyze its potential for building thermal *** experiment is conducted in two test rooms in Antofagasta(chile) during summer,fall,and *** PcM is integrated into the rooftop of the first test room,while the roof panel of the second room is a sealed air *** work introduces a numerical model,which is built using the finite difference method and used to simulate the rooms' thermal *** thermal simulations of the PcM room are performed for other chilean locations to evaluate and compare the capability of the PcM panel to store latent heat thermal energy in different *** show that the indoor temperature of the PcM room in Antofagasta varies only 21.1℃±10.6℃,while the one of the air-panel room varies 28.3℃±18.5℃.Under the experiment's conditions,the PcM room's indoor temperature observes smoother diurnal fluctuations,with lower maximum and higher minimum indoor temperatures than that of the air-panel *** simulations in other cities show that the PcM panel has a better thermal performance during winter,as it helps to maintain or increase the room temperature by some degrees to reach comfort *** demonstrates that the implementation of such PcM in the building envelope can effectively reduce space heating and cooling needs,and improve indoor thermal comfort in different climates of chile.

currently,the most cost-effective and efficient method for phosphorus(P)removal from wastewater is enhanced biological P removal(EPBR)via polyphosphate-accumulating organisms(PAOs).This study integrates a literature review with genomic analysis to uncover the phylogenetic and metabolic diversity of the relevant PAOs for wastewater *** findings highlight significant differences in the metabolic capabilities of PAOs relevant to wastewater ***,candidatus Dechloromonas and candidatus Accumulibacter can synthesize polyhydroxyalkanoates,possess specific enzymes for ATP production from polyphosphate,and have electrochemical transporters for acetate and *** contrast,Tetrasphaera,candidatus Phosphoribacter,Knoellia,and Phycicoccus possess PolyP-glucokinase and electrochemical transporters for sugars/amino ***,this review explores various detection methods for polyphosphate and PAOs in activated sludge wastewater treatment ***,FISH-Raman spectroscopy emerges as one of the most advanced detection ***,this review provides critical insights into PAO research,underscoring the need for enhanced strategies in biological phosphorus removal.

We report the development of a stable high-average power X-ray source generated by the interaction of ultrashort laser pulses(35 fs,1 mJ,1 kHz)with a solid target in *** achieved source stability,which is essential for the applications foreseen for these laser-driven plasma accelerators,is due to the combination of precise positioning of the target on focus and the development of a fast rotating target system able to ensure the refreshment of the material at every shot while minimizing positioning errors with respect to the focal *** vacuum-free laser-plasma X-ray source provides an average dose rate of 1.5 Sv/h at 30 cm and a repeatability better than 93%during more than 36 min of continuous operation per target.

It is not complicated for the clinician to diagnose a patient with advanced fibrosis or liver cirrhosis when he has already presented some decompensation of his liver ***,it is in the earliest stages when the patient's prognosis can be modified the *** liver disease is generally asymptomatic,not invasive markers are of great *** the era of omics,it is time for metabolomics to accompany genomics and proteomics,which are more established in the diagno-stics and prognostics clinical ***,understood as the compre-hensive evaluation of the metabolites present in the organism in a specific phys-iological situation,has undoubted advantages in the study and identification of serum markers relevant to a specific *** year,I read with interest two articles published in this journal:“Baseline metabolites could predict responders with hepatitis B virus-related liver fibrosis for entecavir or combined with FuzhengHuayu tablet”by Dai et al and“Metabolomics in chronic hepatitis c:Decoding fibrosis grading and underlying pathways”by Ferrasi et *** papers illuminate the power of metabolomics to provide us with new tools in the management of liver *** this editorial,I comment on these studies and others,and note how they can contribute to our understanding of liver disease in more than one way.

The main objective of electricity regulators when establishing electricity markets is to decrease the cost of electricity through competition. However, this scenario cannot be achieved without a full participation of the electricity demand by reacting against electricity prices. The aim of this research is to develop tools for helping customers and aggregators to join price and demand response programs, while helping them to hedge against the risk of short-term price volatility. In this way, the capacity of and hybrid methodology （Self-Organizing Maps and Statistical Ward＇s Linkage） to classify high electricity market prices is analysed. Besides, with the help of Non-Parametric Estimation, some price-patterns were found in the abovementioned clusters. The contained knowledge within these patterns supplies customer market-based information on which to base its energy use decisions. The interest for this participation of customers in markets is growing in developed countries to obtain a higher elasticity in demand. Results show the capability of this approach to improve data management and select coherent policies to accomplish cleared demand offers amongst different price scenarios in a more flexible way.
