Impacts of near-M_(s)austempering treatment on microstructure evolution and bainitic transformation kinetics of a medium Mn steel

The microstructure evolution and bainitic transformation of an Fe-0.19C-4.03Mn-1.48Si steel subjected to near-M_(s)austempering treatment were systematically investigated by combining dilatometer,X-ray diffraction,and electron *** additional austempering treatments with isothermal temperatures above M_(s)were used as *** show that the incubation period for the bainitic transformation occurs when the medium Mn steel is treated with the austempering temperature above M_(s).However,when subjected to near-M_(s)isothermal treatment,the medium Mn steel does not show an incubation period and has the fastest bainitic transformation ***,the largest volume fraction of bainite with a value of 74.7%is obtained on the condition of near-M_(s)austempering treatment after cooling to room *** and microstructure evolution analysis indicates that the elimination of the incubation period and the fastest rate of bainitic transformation are related to the preformed *** advent of preformed martensite allows the specimen to generate more bainite in a limited *** bainitic ferrite nucleation at austenite grain boundaries and through autocatalysis at ferrite/austenite interfaces,a model is established to understand the kinetics of bainite formation and it can describe the nucleation rate of bainitic transformation well when compared to the experimental results.

Sulfur doping and oxygen vacancy in In2O3 nanotube co-regulate intermediates of CO2 electroreduction for efficient HCOOH production and rechargeable Zn-CO2 battery

By manipulating the distribution of surface electrons,defect engineering enables effective control over the adsorption energy between adsorbates and active sites in the CO2reduction reaction（CO2RR）.Herein,we report a hollow indium oxide nanotube containing both oxygen vacancy and sulfur doping（V_o-Sx-In2O3） for improved CO2-to-HCOOH electroreduction and *** componential synergy significantly reduces the*OCHO formation barrier to expedite protonation process and creates a favorable electronic micro-environment for*HCOOH *** a result,the CO2RR performance of Vo-Sx-In2O3outperforms Pure-In2O3and V_o-In2O3,where V_o-S53-In2O3exhibits a maximal HCOOH Faradaic efficiency of 92.4% at-1,2 V *** hydrogen electrode（RHE） in H-cell and above 92%over a wide window potential with high current density(119.1 mA cm-2at-1.1 V ***) in flow ***,the rechargeable Zn-CO2battery utilizing V_o-S53-In2O3as cathode shows a high power density of 2.29 mW cm-2and a long-term stability during charge-discharge *** work provides a valuable perspective to elucidate co-defective catalysts in regulating the intermediates for efficient CO2RR.

Room-temperature polarization and spin switching via electron transfer in a valence tautomer

Achieving simultaneous polarization and spin switching at room temperature is essential for advanced multi-state storage and control applications, particularly in magnetoelectrics and electron spintronics, yet such materials are exceedingly rare. Based on polar molecular valence tautomerism of CoⅢ（3,5-DBcat）(3,5-DBsq)（trans-4-stypy）2（1）, room-temperature spin and polarization switching was achieved via electron transfer. Notably, the ferroelectric polarization and spin switching in 1 are modulated by both temperature and light. The successful implementation of room-temperature polarization and spin switching in 1 signifies an important advancement toward practical applications.

Multiparameter magnetic resonance imaging-based radiomics model for the prediction of rectal cancer metachronous liver metastasis

BACKGROUND The liver,as the main target organ for hematogenous metastasis of colorectal cancer,early and accurate prediction of liver metastasis is crucial for the diagnosis and treatment of ***,this study aims to investigate the application value of a combined machine learning(ML)based model based on the multiparameter magnetic resonance imaging for prediction of rectal metachronous liver metastasis(MLM).AIM To investigate the efficacy of radiomics based on multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging images of preoperative first diagnosed rectal cancer in predicting MLM from rectal *** We retrospectively analyzed 301 patients with rectal cancer confirmed by surgical pathology at Jingzhou Central Hospital from January 2017 to December *** participants were randomly assigned to the training or validation queue in a 7:3 *** first apply generalized linear regression model(GLRM)and random forest model(RFM)algorithm to construct an MLM prediction model in the training queue,and evaluate the discriminative power of the MLM prediction model using area under curve(AUC)and decision curve analysis(DCA).Then,the robustness and generalizability of the MLM prediction model were evaluated based on the internal validation set between the validation queue *** Among the 301 patients included in the study,16.28%were ultimately diagnosed with MLM through pathological *** analysis showed that carcinoembryonic antigen,and magnetic resonance imaging radiomics were independent predictors of ***,the GLRM prediction model was developed with a comprehensive nomogram to achieve satisfactory *** prediction performance of GLRM in the training and validation queue was 0.765[95%confidence interval(CI):0.710-0.820]and 0.767(95%CI:0.712-0.822),*** with GLRM,RFM achieved superior performance with AUC of 0.919(95%CI:0.868-0.970)and 0.901(95%CI:0.850-0.952)in the training and validation queue,respect

Exploring electrode materials with larger capacity,higher power density and longer cycle life was critical for developing advanced flexible lithium-ion batteries(liBs).Herein,we used a controlled two-step method including electrospraying followed with calcination treatment by CVD furnace to design novel electrodes of Si/Si_(x)/C and Sn/C microrods array consisting of nanospheres on flexible carbon cloth substrate(denoted as Si/Si_(x)/C@CC,Sn/C@CC).Microrods composed of cumulated nanospheres(the diameter was approximately 120 nm)had a mean diameter of approximately 1.5μm and a length of around 4.0μm,distributing uniformly along the entire woven carbon *** of Si/Si/Si_(x)/C@CC and Sn/C@CC products were synthesized as binder-free anodes for li-ion battery with the features of high reversible capacity and excellent *** Si/Six/C electrode exhibited high specific capacity of about 1750 mA∙h∙g^(−1)at 0.5 A∙g^(−1)and excellent cycling ability even after 1050 cycles with a capacity of 1388 mA∙h∙g^(−1).Highly flexible Si/Si_(x)/C@CC//liCoO_(2)batteries based on liquid and solid electrolytes were also fabricated,exhibiting high flexibility,excellent electrical stability and potential applications in flexible wearable electronics.

Establishment of a rat model of chronic thoracolumbar cord compression with a flat plastic screw

Previous studies of animal models of chronic mechanical compression of the spinal cord have mainly focused on cervical and thoracic lesions, but few studies have investigated thoracolumbar injury. The specific pathophysiological mechanism of chronic thoracolumbar cord injury has not yet been elucidated. The purpose of this study was to improve animal models of chronic thoracolumbar cord compression using the progressive screw. A custom-designed flat plastic screw was implanted in the spinal cord between thoracic vertebrae 12 and lumbar 1 of rats. The screw was tightened one complete turn（0.5 mm） every 7 days for 4 weeks to create different levels of chronic spinal cord compression. Following insertion of the screw, there was a significant decline in motor function of the hind limbs, and severe stenosis of micro-computed tomography parameters in the spinal cord. Cortical somatosensory evoked potential amplitudes were reduced remarkably, and latencies were prolonged at 30 minutes after surgery. The loss of motor neurons in the gray matter was marked. Demyelination and cavitation were observed in the white matter. An appropriate rat model of chronic thoracolumbar cord compression was successfully created using the progressive screw compression method, which simulated spinal cord compression injury.

Microstructural evolution during tempering process and mechanical properties of Cr-Ni-Mo-V/Nb high strength steel

High strength steels exhibit superior mechanical properties due to the unique microstructure,which successfully solves the drawback of the inevitable strength-toughness trade-off that occurs in traditional *** we investigated the effect of matrix and precipitates on mechanical properties of Cr-Ni-Mo-V/Nb steel after water quenching and tempering(150-500℃).The results showed that the microstructure of the present steel is noticeably tuned by changing the tempering *** excellent combination of strength(a yield strength of 1308 MPa with a total elongation of 8.2%)and toughness(Charpy V-notch impact toughness of 40.5 J/cm^(2))is obtained upon tempering at 200℃.This is attributed to the lath martensite containing high dislocation density,the martensite-twin substructure,and the strengthening effects of the precipitated needle-likeε-carbides and spherical VC *** acicularε-carbides are replaced by the rod-shaped Fe_(3)C at the tempering temperature of 350℃,resulting in the remarkable deterioration in strength,hardness,and *** carbides formed at a tempering temperature of 500℃ are beneficial to the enhancement of the elongation and toughness,but the strength decreases due to the matrix softening caused by the recovery of dislocation.
