The latest advances in the field of biomaterials have opened new avenues for scientific breakthroughs in tissue engineer-ing which greatly contributed for the successful translation of tissue engineering products into the market/***-materials are easily processed to become similar to natural extracellular matrix,making them ideal temporary supports for mimicking the three-dimensional(3D)microenvironment required for maintaining the adequate cell/tissue functions both in vitro and in vivo^([1]).

Oxygen(O_(2))-sensing matrices are promising tools for the live monitoring of extracellular O_(2) consumption levels in long-term cell *** this study,ratiometric O_(2)-sensing membranes were prepared by electrospinning,an easy,low-cost,scalable,and robust method for fabricating ***(ε-caprolactone)and poly(dimethyl)siloxane polymers were blended with tris(4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline)ruthenium(II)dichloride,which was used as the O_(2)-sensing probe,and rhodamine B isothiocyanate,which was used as the reference *** functionalized scaffolds were morphologically characterized by scanning electron microscopy,and their physicochemical profiles were obtained by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,thermogravimetric analysis,and water contact angle *** sensing capabilities were investigated by confocal laser scanning microscopy,performing photobleaching,reversibility,and calibration curve studies toward different dissolved O_(2)(DO)*** sensing nanofibers showed a high response to changes in DO concentrations in the physiological-pathological range from 0.5%to 20%and good stability under ratiometric *** addition,the sensing systems were highly biocompatible for cell growth promoting adhesiveness and growth of three cancer cell lines,namely metastatic melanoma cell line sK-MEl2,breast cancer cell line MCF-7,and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cell line Panc-1,thus recreating a suitable biological environment in *** O_(2)-sensing biomaterials can potentially measure alterations in cell metabolism caused by changes in ambient O_(2)content during drug testing/validation and tissue regeneration processes.

Battery management systems(BMss) play a vital role in ensuring efficient and reliable operations of lithium-ion *** main function of the BMss is to estimate battery states and diagnose battery health using battery open-circuit voltage(OCV).However,acquiring the complete OCV data online can be a challenging endeavor due to the time-consuming measurement process or the need for specific operating conditions required by OCV estimation *** addressing these concerns,this study introduces a deep neural network-combined framework for accurate and robust OCV estimation,utilizing partial daily charging *** incorporate a generative deep learning model to extract aging-related features from data and generate high-fidelity OCV *** analysis is employed to identify the optimal partial charging data,optimizing the OCV estimation precision while preserving exceptional *** validation results,using data from nickel-cobalt-magnesium(NCM) batteries,illustrate the accurate estimation of the complete OCV-capacity curve,with an average root mean square errors(RMsE) of less than 3 *** this level of precision for OCV estimation requires only around 50 s collection of partial charging *** validations on diverse battery types operating under various conditions confirm the effectiveness of our proposed *** cases of precise health diagnosis based on OCV highlight the significance of conducting online OCV *** method provides a flexible approach to achieve complete OCV estimation and holds promise for generalization to other tasks in BMss.

High-intensity vortex beams with tunable topological charges and low coherence are highly demanded in applications such as inertial confinement fusion(ICF) and optical communication. However, traditional optical vortices featuring nonuniform intensity distributions are dramatically restricted in application scenarios that require a high-intensity vortex beam owing to their ineffective amplification resulting from the intensity-dependent nonlinear effect. Here, a low-coherence perfect vortex beam(PVB) with a topological charge as high as 140 is realized based on the super-pixel wavefront-shaping technique. More importantly, a globally adaptive feedback algorithm(GAFA) is proposed to efficiently suppress the original intensity fluctuation and achieve a flat-top PVB with dramatically reduced beam speckle contrast. The GAFA-based flat-top PVB generation method can pave the way for high-intensity vortex beam generation,which is crucial for potential applications in ICF, laser processing, optical communication and optical trapping.

Integrated semiconductor lasers represent essential building blocks for integrated optical components and circuits and their stability in frequency is fundamental for the development of numerous frontier applications and engineering *** dense optical circuits are considered,the stability of integrated laser sources can be impaired by the thermal cross-talk generated by the action of neighboring components,leading to a deterioration of the long-term system performance(on the scale of seconds).In this work we show the design and the experimental characterization of a silicon nitride photonic integrated circuit(PIC)that is able to frequency stabilize 16semiconductor lasers,simultaneously.A stabilized 50 GHz-spaced two-channel system is demonstrated through the detection of the related beating note and the stability of the resulting waveform is characterized via the use of artificially induced thermal cross-talk stimuli.

lignin is a typical biological macromolecule with a three-dimensional network structure and abundant functional groups. It has excellent ionic complexation ability and amphiphilic molecular structure *** this study, the carbon steel anticorrosion performance of sodium lignosulfonate(sls) in an acid solution was evaluated using the weight loss method, electrochemical measurements, scanning vibration electrode technique(sVET), and surface characterization methods. sls exhibited excellent corrosion inhibition efficiency for Q235carbon steel in 1 mol·l^(-1) HCl, reaching a maximum value of 98%. A low sls concentration of 20 mg·l^(-1) resulted in the maximum corrosion inhibition efficiency, which remained nearly constant at higher sls *** sVET test demonstrated that the formation of an sls adsorption film can impede corrosion. This study confirms the significance of the application of green biomass resources in the field of metal corrosion protection and green functional materials.
