To comprehensively utilize the low-iron high-vanadium-titanium magnetite,a new method of vortex smelting reduction of vanadium-titanium magnetite was proposed,and the enrichment and reconstitution regularity of Ti-bearing phases in the slag was investigated through X-ray fluorescence spectrometry,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction analysis,and optical *** phase diagram revealed that the preferential crystallization of MgTi_(2)O_(5) can be achieved by adjusting the CaO,MgO,and TiO_(2) contents of *** predominant Ti-bearing phases in the slag obtained from the reduction process are MgxTi_(3_x)O_(5)(0≤x≤1)and CaTiO_(3).FeTiO_(3) is present at carbon-iron ratio(CR)=1.3,while MgTi_(2)O4 and TiC are formed at CR=*** enrichment of TiO_(2) in the slag increases first and then decreases as the CR increases,and at CR=1.1,the enrichment of TiO_(2) in the slag reaches 51.3 wt.%.Additionally,the concentrations of MgxTi_(3_x)O_(5)(0≤x≤1)and CaTiO_(3) in the slag,along with the grain width of MgxTi_(3_x)O_(5)(0≤x≤1),decrease with the increase in CR.

Background, Motivation and Objective In recent years, by embedding the enrichment techniques with the partition of unity method(PUM) into the standard finite element approximation spaces, the extended finite element method(XFEM) has been successfully developed and applied to solve many discontinuity problems in a wide range of engineering applications. The major difference between the XFEM and the conventional finite element method(CFEM) is that the mesh in XFEM is independent of the internal geometry and physical interfaces, such as that meshing and re-meshing difficulties in discontinuous problems can be overcome. Statement of Contribution/Methods In this work, based on the XFEM, elliptical crack problems in piezoelectric materials are analyzed by ABAQUS software. The stress field and the electrical displacement field around the crack tip are analyzed. According to the relationship between the energy release rate and the crack tip stress intensity factor, the crack tip stress intensity factor and the electric displacement intensity factor are calculated. The calculation results are in excellent agreement with the analytical solutions. After that, using ABAQUS simulated the situation of crack propagation and get the energy release rate. The influences of the geometric dimensions and the external loads on the field intensity factors are discussed. Results To assess the accuracy of the proposed approach, the results obtained are compared with the analytical reference solutions available in the literature, and they are found to excellent agreements, which implies that the XFEM is efficient to analyze the dynamic fracture problems in piezoelectric solids. Discussion and Conclusions Although many works on fracture analysis of piezoelectric materials have been reported in literature, there are only very few works devoted to crack propagation problems. The efficient energy conversion of fuel cells is greatly constrained by the slow oxygen reduction reac tion(ORR)kinetics,which necessitates the use of highly active metal catalysts such as platinum(Pt).The critical challenge limiting large-scale usage of Pt is the capital cost that can be addressed through a pro totypical approach by embedding metal nanoparticles(NPs),e.g.,Pt NPs,in the conductive framework However,previously reported embedding approaches are sophisticated and suffer from limited yields leading to higher chemical process costs and remaining distant from commercial ***,we re port a facile,cost-effective and time-efficient structural tuning approach to synthesizing ultrafine Pt NP impregnated within a conductive and highly porous carbon framework via a microwave-assisted polyo reduction *** NPs with a uniform size of~2.27 nm can be successfully integrated within the pore of the carbon framework,enabling homogeneous *** from these highly dispersed and ultrafine Pt NPs,the electrochemical surface area(ECSA)is improved to 142.98 m^(2)/gPt,2.25 times highe than that of the commercial counterpart(63.52 m^(2)/gPt).Furthermore,our structurally optimized catalys composite features a remarkably catalytic activity with a high half-wave potential(E_(1/2))of 0.895 V and an improved mass activity(MA)of 0.2289 A/mgPt,2.39-fold improvement compared to the commercia *** addition,orthogonal experiments were designed to identify the key process parameter for fabricating Pt/C catalysts,offering insights for scaled-up and industrial production.

Climate change is resulting in more frequent and rapidly changing temperatures at both extremes that severely affect the growth and production of plants,particularly *** stress caused by high temperatures is one of the most damaging factors for ***,the role of hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))in modulating plant thermotolerance is largely unknown,and the regulation of photorespiration essential for C3 species remains to be fully ***,we report that heat stress promotes H2O2 accumulation in chloroplasts and that H2O2 stimulates sulfenylation of the chloroplast-localized photorespiratory enzyme 2-phosphoglycolate phosphatase 1(PGLP1)at cysteine 86,inhibiting its activity and promoting the accumulation of the toxic metabolite *** also demonstrate that PGLP1 has a positive function in plant thermotolerance,as PGLP1 antisense lines have greater heat sensitivity and PGLP1-overexpressing plants have higher heat-stress tolerance than the wild ***,our results demonstrate that heat-induced H2O2 in chloroplasts sulfenylates and inhibits PGLP1 to modulate plant ***,targeting CATALASE2 to chloroplasts can largely prevent the heatinduced overaccumulation of H2O2 and the sulfenylation of PGLP1,thus conferring thermotolerance without a plant growth *** findings reveal that heat-induced H2O2 in chloroplasts is important for heat-caused plant damage.

NiFe-based electrocatalysts will experience dynamical surface reconstruction during oxygen evolution reaction(OER)process,and the derived metal(oxy)hydroxide hybrids on the surface have been considered as the actual active species for *** efforts have been dedicated to understanding the surface reconstruction,but there is rare research on recognizing the origin of improved performance derived from anion species of ***,the OER electrocatalytic characteristics were tuned with different anions in NiFe-based catalyst,using NiFe-based oxides/nitride/sulfide/selenides/phosphides(NiFeX,X=O,N,S,Se,and P)as the model *** combination of X-ray photoelectronic spectroscopy,electrochemical tests,operando spectroscopic characterizations,and density functional theory(DFT)calculations,reveals that anion with lower electronegativity in NiFe-based catalyst leads to higher conductivity and delayed valence transition of Ni sites,as well as optimized adsorption behavior towards oxygen intermediates,contributing to enhanced OER ***,NiFeP electrocatalyst demonstrates an ultralow overpotential of 265 mV at 20 mA·cm−2 for OER,as well as long-term *** work not only offers further insights into the effect of anionic electronegativity on the intrinsic OER electrocatalytic properties of NiFe-based electrocatalyst but also provides guide to design efficient non-noble metal-based electrocatalysts for water oxidation.
