＜正＞The ATP/GTP binding protein 1（Agtpbp1） was known to be associated with neuronal differentiation and *** Purkinje cell degeneration（pcd） mice,mutated Agtpbp1 causes specific neuronal populations degeneration,including Purkinje neurons in the cerebellum,photoreceptors in the retina and mitral cells in the olfactory ***,a ubiquitous protein known to associate with SNARE complex,has been implicated in the neurotransmission and dendrite ***,we identified that Snapin is a binding partner of Agtpbpl using yeast two-hybrid screen of a mouse brain cDNA library. Co-immunoprecipitation experiment verified the interaction between Agtpbp1 and Snapin,indicating that Agtpbpl participates with the SNARE machinery in the mouse *** microscopic analysis showed colocalization in both the cytoplasm and plasma *** addition,overexpressed Agtpbpl regulates Snapin mRNA expression level in *** conclude that Snapin,interacting with Agtpbpl,plays important role in the neuronal differentiation.

Compared to surgery,interventional and hybrid-operating-room(OR) approaches diagnose or treat pathology with the most minimally invasive techniques *** minimizing the physical trauma to the patient,peripheral or hybrid approaches can reduce infection rates and recovery time as well as shorten hospital *** invasive approaches therefore are the trend and often the preferred choice,and may even be the only option for the patients associated with high surgery *** interventional imaging modalities include 2-D X-ray fluoroscopy and ***,fluoroscopic images do not display the anatomic structures without a contrast agent,which on the other hand,needs to be minimized for patients' *** images suffer from relatively low image quality and tissue contrast *** augment the doctor's view of the patient's anatomy and help doctors navigate the devices to the targeted area with more confidence and a higher accuracy,high-resolution pre-operative volumetric data such as computed tomography and/or magnetic resonance can be fused with intra-operative 2-D images during interventions.A seamless workflow and accurate 2-D/3-D registrationas well as cardiac and/or respiratory motion compensation are the key components for a successful image guidance system using a patient-specific 3-D ***'s research has been focused on developing methods and systems of 3-D model guidance for various interventions and hybrid-OR ***' s work has led to several Siemens products with high clinical and/or market impact and a good number of scientific publications in leading journals/conferences on medical imaging.

Acute central nervous system injuries,including ischemic stro ke,intracerebral hemorrhage,subarachnoid hemorrhage,traumatic brain injury,and spinal co rd injury,are a major global health *** optimal therapies and improving the long-term neurological functions of patients with acute central nervous system injuries are urgent *** are susceptible to damage after acute central nervous system injury,and this leads to the release of toxic levels of reactive oxygen species,which induce cell ***,a selective form of autophagy,is crucial in eliminating redundant or damaged mitochondria during these *** evidence has highlighted the significant role of mitophagy in acute central nervous system *** this review,we provide a comprehensive overview of the process,classification,and related mechanisms of *** also highlight the recent developments in research into the role of mitophagy in various acute central nervous system injuries and drug therapies that regulate *** the final section of this review,we emphasize the potential for treating these disorders by focusing on mitophagy and suggest future research paths in this area.

Various nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems for the treatment of neurological disorders have been widely ***,their inability to cross the blood–brain barrier hampers the clinical translation of these therapeutic *** are nanoparticles composed of lipid bilayers,which can effectively encapsulate drugs and improve drug delivery across the blood–brain barrier and into brain tissue through their targeting and ***,they can potentially treat traumatic and nontraumatic central nervous system *** this review,we outlined the common properties and preparation methods of liposomes,including thin-film hydration,reverse-phase evaporation,solvent injection techniques,detergent removal methods,and microfluidics ***,we comprehensively discussed the current applications of liposomes in central nervous system diseases,such as Alzheimer's disease,Parkinson's disease,Huntington's disease,amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,traumatic brain injury,spinal cord injury,and brain *** studies related to liposomes are still in the laboratory stage and have not yet entered clinical ***,their application as drug delivery systems in clinical practice faces challenges such as drug stability,targeting efficiency,and ***,we proposed development strategies related to liposomes to further promote their development in neurological disease research.

A recent study by Wang et al,published in the World Journal of Psychiatry,provided preventative and therapeutic strategies for the comorbidity of obesity and *** gut-brain axis,which acts as a two-way communication system between the gastrointestinal tract and the central nervous system,plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of these *** suggests that metabolic byproducts,such as short-chain fatty acids,lipopolysaccharide and bile acids,which are generated by the gut microbiota,along with neurotransmitters and inflammatory mediators within the gut-brain axis,modulate the host's metabolic processes,neuronal regulation,and immune responses through diverse *** interaction between obesity and depression via the gut-brain axis involves disruptions in the gut microbiota balance,inflammatory immune responses,and alterations in the neuroendocrine *** the gut-brain axis,for example,through a ketogenic diet,the use of probiotics,and the supplementation of antioxidants,offers new remedial approaches for obesity and *** research that explores the mechanisms of the gut-brain axis is needed to provide more evidence for clinical treatment.

BACKGROUND Revisiting the epidemiology of posttraumatic stress symptoms(PTSSs)among university students during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic as well as understanding the mental health help-seeking behavior of individuals with PTSSs has critical implications for public mental health strategies in future medical *** To investigate the prevalence and correlates of PTSSs among university students during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in China and to examine mental health help-seeking behaviors among these *** A total of 2507 Chinese university students were recruited via snowball *** students completed the Seven-item Screening Scale for Post-traumatic Stress Disorder during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in ***-graphic characteristics,pandemic-related characteristics,and mental health help-seeking behaviors of students with PTSSs were also *** The prevalence of PTSSs among the participants was 28.0%.Seven significant correlates of PTSSs were identified(odds ratio=1.23-3.65,P≤0.024):Female sex,being 19 years old or older,living with others or alone,a low level of family economic status,fair or poor interpersonal relationships,severe or very severe local pandemic,and having family members diagnosed with ***,only 3.28%of the students with PTSSs reported seeking help from mental health *** the 23 students who sought help from mental health specialists,13 opted for online or telephone-based psychological *** Our data suggest that there was a high risk of PTSSs among university students and a high level of unmet mental health needs during the COVID-19 *** delivery of mental health services online or via telephone is a promising approach to address these unmet needs.

Improving postoperative outcomes in patients with pancreatic cancer:Inflammatory and nutritional biomarkers

This editorial assesses the prognostic value of preoperative inflammatory and nutritional biomarkers in patients undergoing surgical resection for pancreatic *** et al evaluated the ability of seven biomarkers to predict postoperative recovery and long-term *** biomarkers were albumin-to-globulin ratio,prognostic nutritional index(PNI),systemic immune-inflammation index,neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio,platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio,nutritional risk index,and geriatric nutritional risk *** PNI was found to be a strong predictor of both overall and recurrence-free survival,underscoring its clinical relevance in managing patients with pancreatic cancer.
