BACKGROUND Peroral endoscopic myotomy(POEM)is an established treatment option for esophageal ***,technical challenges and failures *** fibrosis is a rare cause of aborted POEM *** SUMMARY We performed POEM with an elastic ring for achalasia with obvious submucosal *** short-term outcome was excellent,surgery time was significantly shorter,and success rate was higher with POEM for achalasia with obvious submucosal *** POEM performed with an elastic ring is a feasible and effective endoscopic treatment modality for achalasia with obvious submucosal fibrosis.

Identical-by-descent(IBD)is a fundamental genomic characteristic in population genetics and has been widely used for population history ***,limited by the nature of IBD,which could only capture the relationship between two individuals/haplotypes,existing IBD-based history inference is constrained to two *** this study,we propose a framework by leveraging IBD sharing in multipopulation and develop a method,MatrixiBD,to reconstruct recent multi-population migration ***,we employ the structured coalescent theory to precisely model the genealogical process and then estimate the IBD sharing across multiple *** our model,we establish a theoretical connection between migration history and IBD *** method is rigorously evaluated through simulations,revealing its remarkable accuracy and ***,we apply MatrixiBD to Central and South Asia in the Human Genome Diversity Project and successfully reconstruct the recent migration history of three closely related populations in South *** taking into account the IBD sharing across multiple populations simultaneously,MatrixlBD enables us to attain clearer and more comprehensive insights into the history of regions characterized by complex migration dynamics,providing a holistic perspective on intricate patterns embedded within the recent population migration history.

Stimuli-responsive luminescent materials have attracted significant attention in the development of smart photoactive materials for both fundamental research and technological *** this work,a new copper iodide cluster(1)with aggregationinduced emission(AIE)characteristic,was obtained combining Cu_(4)I_(4) core with rhodamine B derivative ligand.1 has reversible and distinct multi-stimuli-responsive luminescence for external temperature,volatile organic compound,and mechanical ***,1 exhibited unusual large blue shift(84 nm)after being ground,which originated from the change of intermolecular ***,1 exhibits high oxygen quenching efficiency for 82.2% at 1 *** studies showed that the multi-stimuli-responsive luminescence properties of 1 can be attributed to the regulation of cluster-centered luminescence process,metal-to-ligand charge transfer process,halide-to-metal charge transfer luminescence process and aggregationinduced barrier to oxygen *** work not only reports an AIE copper iodide cluster,but also provides a new strategy to develop multi-stimuli-responsive luminescence materials.

BACKGROUND Here we report a rare case of submucosal esophageal abscess evolving into intramural submucosal *** SUMMARY An 80-year-old woman was admitted to our emergency department with a chief complaint of dysphagia and *** tests showed mild leukocytosis and elevated C-reactive protein *** tomography showed thickening of the esophageal *** endoscopy showed a laceration of the esophageal mucosa and a submucosal *** drainage occurred,and we could see purulent exudate from the *** closed the laceration with endoscopic *** patient did not remember swallowing a foreign body;however,she ate crabs before the symptoms *** prescribed the patient with antibiotic,and the symptoms were gradually *** months later,upper endoscopy showed that the laceration was healed,and the submucosal abscess ***,intramural esophageal dissection was *** performed endoscopic incision of the septum using dual-knife *** In conclusion,we are the first to report the case of esophageal submucosal abscess evolving into intramural esophageal *** significance of this case lies in clear presentation of the evolution process between two *** addition,we recommend that endoscopic incision be considered as one of the routine therapeutic modalities of intramural esophageal dissection.

The NiO_(x)/perovskite interface in NiO_(x)-based inverted perovskite solar cells(PSCs)is one of the main issues that restrict device performance and long-term stability,as the unwanted interfacial defects and undesirable redox reactions cause severe interfacial non-radiative recombination and open-circuit voltage(Voc)***,a series of self-assembled molecules(SAMs)are employed to bind,bridge,and stabilize the NiO_(x)/perovskite interface by regulating the electrostatic *** on systematically theoretical and experimental studies,4-pyrazolecarboxylic acid(4-PCA)is proven as an efficient molecule to simultaneously passivate the NiO_(x)and perovskite surface traps,release the interfacial tensile stress as well as quench the detrimental interface redox reactions,thus effectively suppressing the interfacial non-radiative recombination and enhancing the quality of perovskite ***,the PSCs with 4-PCA treatment exhibited an eminently increased Voc,leading to a significant increase in power conversion efficiency from 21.28%to 23.77%.Furthermore,the unencapsulated devices maintain 92.6%and 81.3%of their initial PCEs after storing in air with a relative humidity of 20%–30%for 1000 h and heating at 65℃for 500 h in a N_(2)-filled glovebox,respectively.

Pyrolusite comprises the foremost manganese oxides and is a major source of manganese *** innovative hydrogenbased mineral phase transformation technology to pyrolusite was proposed,where a 96.44%distribution rate of divalent manganese(Mn^(2+))was observed at an optimal roasting temperature of 650℃,a roasting time of 25 min,and an H2 concentration of 20vol%;under these *** manganese predominantly existed in the form of *** study investigated the generation mechanism of manganosite based on the reduction kinetics,phase transformation,and structural evolution of pyrolusite and revealed that high temperature improved the distribution rate,and the optimal kinetic model for the reaction was the random nucleation and growth model(reaction order,n=3/2)with an activation energy(E_(a))of 24.119 kJ·mol^(−1).Throughout the mineral phase transformation,manganese oxide from the outer layer of particles moves inward to the *** addition,pyrolusite follows the reduction sequence of MnO_(2)→Mn_(2)O_(3)→Mn_(3)O_(4)→MnO,and the reduction of manganese oxides in each valence state simultaneously *** findings provide significant insight into the efficient and clean utilization of pyrolusite.

The octupole deformation and collectivity in octupole double-magic nucleus 144Ba are investigated using the Cranking covariant density functional theory in a three-dimensional lattice *** reduced B(E3)transition probability is implemented for the first time in semiclassical approximation based on the microscopically calculated electric octupole *** available data,including the I-ωrelation and electric transitional probabilities B(E2)and B(E3)are well ***,it is shown that the ground state of 144Ba exhibits axial octupole and quadrupole deformations that persist up to high spins(I≈24h).

To reveal the dynamic mechanical characteristics of deep rocks,a series of impact tests under triaxial static stress states corresponding to depths of 300-2400 m were *** results showed that both the strain rates and the stress environments in depth significantly affect the mechanical characteristics of *** sensitivity of strain rate to the dynamic strength and deformation modulus shows a negative correlation with depth,indicating that producing penetrative cracks in deep environments is more difficult when damage *** dynamic strength shows a tendency to decrease and then increase slightly,but decreases sharply *** demonstrates a similar trend as that of strength,whereas reflectivity indicates the opposite ***,two critical depths with high dynamically induced hazard possibilities based on the China Jinping Underground Laboratory(CJPL)were proposed for deep *** first critical depth is 600-900 m,beyond which the sensitivity of rock dynamic characteristics to the strain rate and restraint of circumferential stress decrease,causing instability of surrounding rocks under axial stress *** second one lies at 1500-1800 m,where the wave impedance and dynamic strength of deep surrounding rocks drop sharply,and the dissipation energy presents a negative *** suggests that the dynamic instability of deep surrounding rocks can be divided into dynamic load dominant and dynamic load induced types,depending on the second critical depth.
