One-step controlled electrodeposition nickel sulfides heterointerfaces favoring the desorption of hydroxyl groups for efficient hydrogen generation

The heterointerface engineering involving different components or phases represents a desirable strategy for enhancing the sluggish kinetics of hydrogen evolution reaction （HER）.However,constructing desired heterointerfaces and elucidating the reaction mechanisms on the interface remains a considerable *** this work,we propose a straightforward electrochemical synthesis strategy to prepare the nickel sulfide-based heterointerfaces for *** mechanism of electrochemical synthesis is revealed,wherein metal-thiourea species can be formed at the cathode potential and subsequently oxidized to nickel sulfides at the anode *** this mechanism,a range of nickel sulfides,including NiS,Ni3S2/NiS,Ni/Ni3S2and Ni3S2,have been successfully synthesized by tuning the potential range of cyclic *** these,the obtained Ni3S2/NiS@CC（CC:carbon cloth） exhibits the smallest overpotential of84 mV at 10 mA·cm-2and high *** calculations further reveal that the combination of NiS and Ni3S2induces electron redistribution at the interface,and thus the Volmer process is effectively promoted with faster water dissociation and OH desorption ***,the simplicity method coupled with a clear synthesis mechanism and outstanding HER performance highlights its promising potential for practical applications.

Analysis and simulation of high-power LED array with microchannel heat sink

The high power light emitting diode （LED） array integrated with the microchannel heat sink is designed in this paper, and then optimal analysis and simulation have been carried out. According to the theory of heat transfer and fluid mechanics, the calculation of the thermal resistance for the microchannel heat sink is obtained, and the thermal resis- tance is minimized. Finally the simulation with FLUENT software is developed to verify the theoretical analysis. Established analysis and simulation show that the width of the cooling channel is 0.1 mm, and the cooling water flow rate is 1 m/s. On the other hand, the system acquires the best heat dissipation effect, and the minimum of thermal resis- tance is 0.019 W/℃.

The effects of various factors on spontaneous imbibition in tight oil reservoirs

Slickwater fracturing fluids have gained widespread application in the development of tight oil reservoirs. After the fracturing process, the active components present in slickwater can directly induce spontaneous imbibition within the reservoir. Several variables influence the eventual recovery rate within this procedure, including slickwater composition, formation temperature, degree of reservoir fracture development, and the reservoir characteristics. Nonetheless, the underlying mechanisms governing these influences remain relatively understudied. In this investigation, using the Chang-7 block of the Changqing Oilfield as the study site, we employ EM-30 slickwater fracturing fluid to explore the effects of the drag-reducing agent concentration, imbibition temperature, core permeability, and core fracture development on spontaneous imbibition. An elevated drag-reducing agent concentration is observed to diminish the degree of medium and small pore utilization. Furthermore, higher temperatures and an augmented permeability enhance the fluid flow properties, thereby contributing to an increased utilization rate across all pore sizes. Reduced fracture development results in a lower fluid utilization across diverse pore types. This study deepens our understanding of the pivotal factors affecting spontaneous imbibition in tight reservoirs following fracturing. The findings act as theoretical, technical, and scientific foundations for optimizing fracturing strategies in tight oil reservoir transformations.

Spinel MnCo_(2)O_(4) is a promising energy storage candidate as anode materials in lithium-ion batteries owing to synergistic effects of two intrinsic solid-state redox ***,low conductivity,poor rate capacity and rapid capacity fading have seriously impaired its practical *** overcome the inferiorities,urchin-like MnCo_(2)O_(4)@C core–shell nanowire arrays have been fabricated directly within a porous copper current collector via a facile hydrothermal method followed by a chemical vapor deposition carbonization *** a typical nanowire,the core is composed of interconnected MnCo_(2)O_(4)nanoparticles and the shell shows as a thin amorphous carbon *** integrated MnCo_(2)O_(4)@C/Cu structure could act as working anodes without using additives or polymer *** MnCo_(2)O_(4)@C/Cu possesses slightly longer li-ion insertion/desertion pathway than that of MnCo_(2)O_(4)/Cu,the carbon shell could effectively prevent the pulverization of MnCo_(2)O_(4) and lower down charge transfer resistance and actively participate in li-ion *** rearrangement of carbon atoms during lithiation/delithiation cycling could inhibit the formation of passive solid electrolyte interphase *** a result,the MnCo_(2)O_(4)@C/Cu electrode presents superior rate capacity(600 mAh·g^(−1) at 1 A·g^(−1)) and better stability(797 mAh·g^(−1) after 200 cycles at 100 mA·g^(−1)).The excellent reversible li ion storage capacity,cycling stability and rate capacity endow MnCo_(2)O_(4)@C/Cu great potential as stable and high output integrated anode materials in li-ion batteries.

At present,industrial synthetic ammonia was still obtained through the Hubble-Bosch process,with large energy *** is a research hotspot to realize green synthetic ammonia by using solar *** difficulty of photocatalytic ammonia synthesis was that the photo-excited electrons have not enough energy to active N≡*** this study,Ti was doped into BiOBr by one-step hydrothermal method,which was oxidized into TiO_(2)when the doping amount reaches the maximum,in situ forming Ti_(0.31)B_(0.69)OB/TiO_(2)*** from the synergistic effect of Ti doping and S-scheme heterojunction,the synthetic ammonia efficiency of Ti_(0.31)B_(0.69)OB/TiO_(2)-11.96 reached 1.643 mmol·g_(cat)^(-1)at mild conditions and without hole scavenger for up to 7 h,the efficiency of synthetic ammonia is 115 times,10.5 times and 3.3 times of that of BiOBr,Ti_(0.31)B_(0.69)OB and TiO_(2),***,DFT calculation confirms that Ti doping accurately refine the electronic structure of BiOBr,facilitate nitrogen adsorption activation and reduce hydrogenation reaction energy barrier,thus accelerating the reaction kinetics of photocatalytic nitrogen reduction(NRR),Meanwhile,constructing S-scheme heterojunction boosts the separation and transfer of photogenerated electron-hole pairs,improving the reduction ability of electrons in the conduction band of TiO_(2)and the oxidation ability of holes in the valence band of Ti_(0.31)B_(0.69)OB.

High-efficiency sodium storage of Co_(0.85)Se/WSe_(2) encapsulated in N-doped carbon polyhedron via vacancy and heterojunction engineering

Beauvericin was analyzed in three forms of the Lepidoptra pathogenic fungus Isaria tenuipes(4 isolates):(a)natural specimen,(b)cultivated synnemata on rice media,and(c)mycelia from fermentation in liquid *** was detected in very low amounts in all tested natural *** on rice contained much higher concentrations of beauvericin than the corresponding natural materials,although the concentrations were lower than mycelia from liquid *** results casted a caution that beauvericin concentration should be carefully checked,as a possible toxic constituent,upon mass production of a selected strain of Isaria tenuipes for health food purposes.

Hydrogen-based mineral phase transformation mechanism investigation of pyrolusite ore

Pyrolusite comprises the foremost manganese oxides and is a major source of manganese production. An innovative hydrogen-based mineral phase transformation technology to pyrolusite was proposed, where a 96.44% distribution rate of divalent manganese (Mn2+) was observed at an optimal roasting temperature of 650°C, a roasting time of 25 min, and an H2 concentration of 20vol%; under these conditions. The manganese predominantly existed in the form of manganosite. This study investigated the generation mechanism of manganosite based on the reduction kinetics, phase transformation, and structural evolution of pyrolusite and revealed that high temperature improved the distribution rate, and the optimal kinetic model for the reaction was the random nucleation and growth model (reaction order, n = 3/2) with an activation energy (Ea) of 24.119 kJ·mol−1. Throughout the mineral phase transformation, manganese oxide from the outer layer of particles moves inward to the core. In addition, pyrolusite follows the reduction sequence of MnO2 → Mn2O3 → Mn3O4 → MnO, and the reduction of manganese oxides in each valence state simultaneously proceeds. These findings provide significant insight into the efficient and clean utilization of pyrolusite.

Antimony-based materials with high capacities and moderate potentials are promising anodes for lithium-/-sodium-ion ***,their tremendous volume expansion and inferior conductivity lead to poor structural stability and sluggish reaction ***,a doubleconfined nanoheterostructure Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@C has been fabricated through a solvothermal method followed by low-temperature heat *** dual protection of“MXene”and“carbon”can better accommodate the volume expansion of Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3).The strong covalent bond(Ti-S,Ti-O-Sb,C-O-Sb)can firmly integrate Sb-based material with Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)and carbon,which significantly improves the structure *** addition,the carbon layer can restrain the oxidation of MXenes,and the nano-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)can facilitate electron/ion transport and suppress the restacking of *** heterogeneous interface between Sb and Sb_(2)S_(3)can further promote interfacial charge *** MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@C-1 with the optimal Sb content shows high specific capacities,comparable rate properties and ultra-stable cycling performances(250 m Ah·g^(-1)after 2500 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1)for sodium-ion batteries).Ex situ X-ray diffractometer(XRD)test reveals the storage mechanism including the conversion and alloying process of MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@*** voltammetry(CV)test results demonstrate that the pseudocapacitance behavior is dominant in MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@C-1,especially at large *** design paves the way for exploring high-performance alloy-based/conversion-type anode for energy storage devices.
