A method is presented to determine significant frequencies of oscillations of cavitation structures from high-speed camera recordings of a flow around a 2-D hydrofoil. The top view of the suction side of an NACA 2412 hydrofoil is studied in a transparent test section of a cavitation tunnel for selected cloud cavitation regimes with strong oscillations induced by the leading-edge cavity shedding. The ability of the method to accurately determine the dominant oscillation frequencies is confirmed by pressure measure- ments. The method can resolve subtle flow characteristics that are not visible to the naked eye. The method can be used for non- invasive experimental studies of oscillations in cavitating flows with adequate visual access when pressure measurements are not available or when such measurements would disturb the flow.

Ultrasound(US)activation of mechanophores in polymers that initiates cascade chemical reactions is a promising strategy for on-demand molecule ***,the typical US frequency used for mechanochemistry is around 20 kHz,producing inertial cavitation that exceeds the tolerance threshold of biological ***,high-intensity focused US(HIFU)as a mechanical stimulus is introduced to drive the activation of disulfide mechanophores in hyperbranched star polymers(HBSPs)and microgels(MGLs).The mechanism of molecular release is attributed to the thiol-disulfide exchange reaction and subsequent intramolecular *** reveal that HBSPs and MGLs effectively transduce HIFU as mechanical input to chemical output,demonstrated by the quantification of the release of fluorescent umbelliferone(UMB).Moreover,an in vitro study of drug release is carried out using camptothecin as the model drug,which is covalently loaded in MGLs,demonstrating the potential of our system for controlled drug delivery to cancer cells.

提出制备含Sc的Al−Cu−Li−Mg−Zr基合金带材的工艺方案。即先采用双辊铸轧技术制备近净形状的3 mm厚带材,再对其进行均匀化/固溶处理。研究两种Al−Cu−Li−Mg−Zr基双辊铸轧合金,其中一种添加质量分数为0.17%的Sc,另一种未添加Sc。两种合金均先在300℃下退火30 min,然后在450℃下退火30 min以及530℃下退火30 min,随后进行室温水淬。前两段退火后组织中生成了细小、弥散的Al_(3)Zr/Al_(3)(Sc,Zr)颗粒。最后的退火步骤起到了均匀化/固溶处理的作用。双辊铸轧材料的细小晶粒结构使含有主要合金元素的原始颗粒在较短的退火时间内溶解。缩短保温时间可以限制表面层中Li的耗尽和Al_(3)Zr/Al_(3)(Sc,Zr)弥散相的明显粗化。铸态含Sc材料已经具有明显细小的晶粒结构,而经均匀化/固溶处理后生成的Al_(3)(Sc,Zr)弥散相抑制了晶粒在高温下发生粗化。在后续180℃下时效处理后,形成了θʹ(Al_(2)Cu)、T1(Al_(2)CuLi)和S'(Al_(2)CuMg)强化相。在峰值时效状态下,屈服强度提高了200 MPa,这一数值与类似直接冷却铸造材料的相当,从而证实了所提方案的合理性。

This article fashion＂（＂Kitaischina＂） reign of Peter the First demonstrates the role Russo-Chinese cultural examines special features of ＂Chinoiserie＂ or ＂Chinese in Russia from the late 17th to the early 18th century： The It discusses this cultural phenomenon＇s historical origins, of Chinese luxury goods and art objects in the era＇s exchange, and illustrates how Chinese decorative arts were used in Russian palaces. While Chinoiserie in Russia was influenced by similar trends in Western Europe, it was rooted in the unique history of regular contacts between Russia and the Qing Empire. Chinese objects not only appeared as commodities in the higher levels of Russian society, they also contributed to the prestige of the Russian state. Peter the First had a political purpose behind the collection, display and imitation of Chinese art objects in Russian palaces, as these practices demonstrated the growing wealth and power of newly established Russian Empire, which enjoyed trade connections with the Qing Empire. While contemporary perceptions of China in Russia were derived mostly by the exotic images of export art, ethnographic collections of genuine Chinese utensils, which were founded during that period, also contributed to Russian views of China. This research uses a comprehensive methodology, combining studies of material objects preserved in Russian museums and written sources, including archival records.

This article traces the history of baojuan(scroll recitation)performances in Shanghai in the period *** recitation is a type of ritualized storytelling that originated in Buddhist preaching,but that also included secular subjects in the later *** study demonstrates how a traditional performative art was integrated into the cultural environment of a developing cosmopolitan city at the end of the nineteenth century,and how it was transformed for the new demands of urban audiences in the early twentieth *** study analyzes the process of secularization of scroll recitation through the growth of entertaining aspects of its contents and performance style in *** makes use of newly discovered historical materials,including newspapers and periodicals of that period,which help to clarify many details of this art's evolution in the modern city.

In this paper, I analyze pictorial representations of the Buddhist story of Mulian rescuing his mother in China, Japan, and Korea in the pre-modern and early modern periods. I have collected several pictorial versions of the Mulian story in these countries, and comparison shows close proximity of several such works. All of them are related to the narrative texts that represent elaboration of the originally scriptural story （it originated in the apocryphal Buddhist scripture that circulated in China） in vernacular languages. Images of the Mulian story in the countries of East Asia had diverse nature： they could appear as separate scenes in devotional religious paintings, multi-scene handscrolls, and illustrations in the manuscripts and editions. I argue that the subject of Mulian rescuing his mother was of primary importance in the popularization of Buddhist ideas among different layers of society. The related images were used for both storytelling and reading practices and helped different audiences to comprehend the Mulian story.

In the last decade,a new class of natural biomaterials derived from de-fatted soybean fl our processed by either thermoset or extraction procedures has been *** biomaterials uniquely combine adaptability to various clinical applications to proven tissue regeneration *** the present work,the biomaterials were formulated either as hydrogel or as paste formulation and their potential as wound dressing material or as dermal substitute was assessed by two in vivo models in pig skin:The healing full-thickness punch biopsy model and the non-healing full-thickness polytetrafl uoroethylene(PTFE)chamber *** results clearly show that collagen deposition is induced by the presence of these biomaterials.A unique pattern of early infl ammatory response,eliciting neutrophils and controlling macrophage infi ltration,is followed by tissue cell colonization of the wound bed with a signifi cant deposition of collagen fi *** study also highlighted the importance in the use of optimal formulations and appropriate handling upon *** large size,non-healing wounds,wound dermis was best obtained with the paste formulation as hydrogels appeared to be too loose to ensure lasting scaff olding *** the contrary,packing of the granules during the application of paste reduced biomaterial degradation rate and prevent the penetration of newly vascularized tissue,thus impeding grafting of split-thickness autologous skin grafts on the dermal substitute base.

The Pan-Eurasian Experiment Modelling Platform(PEEX-MP)is one of the key blocks of the PEEX Research *** PEEX MP has more than 30 models and is directed towards seamless envir-onmental *** main focus area is the Arctic-boreal regions and *** models used in PEEX-MP cover several main components of the Earth’s system,such as the atmosphere,hydrosphere,pedosphere and biosphere,and resolve the physicalchemicalbiological processes at different spatial and temporal scales and *** paper introduces and discusses PEEX MP multi-scale modelling concept for the Earth system,online integrated,forward/inverse,and socioeconomical modelling,and other approaches with a particular focus on applications in the PEEX geographical *** employed high-performance com-puting facilities,capabilities,and PEEX dataflow for modelling results are *** virtual research platforms(PEEXView,Virtual Research Environment,Web-based Atlas)for handling PEEX modelling and observational results are *** over-all approach allows us to understand better physical-chemicalbiological processes,Earth’s system interactions and feedbacks and to provide valuable information for assessment studies on evaluating risks,impact,consequences,*** population,envir-onment and climate in the PEEX *** work was also one of the last projects of *** Zilitinkevich,who passed away on 15 February *** the finalization took time,the paper was actually submitted in 2023 and we could not argue that the final paper text was agreed with him.

The new book by Wilt L. Idema is a collection of English translations of six precious scrolls （baojuan 宝卷） from Western Gansu, also known as the Gansu Corridor or Hexi （河西, meaning the land to the west of the Yellow River/. It continues Idema＇s work on the English translation of the most important works of Chinese popular literature （mainly related to oral storytelling practices）, many of which still remain understudied or completely unknown in Western sinology. None of these texts has ever been translated into English or other Western languages before.

The new book by Vladimir Uspensky （alternatively, Uspenskiy）, Professor and Chair of the Department of Mongolian and Tibetan Studies, Faculty of Asian and African Studies of Saint Petersburg State University （Russia）, deals with various aspects in the history of Tibetan Buddhism in Beijing; the time is mainly the period from the middle seventeenth to the early twentieth century. During the reign of the Qing dynasty, the ruling class, namely Manchu and Mongolian nobility, patronized Tibetan Buddhism. This aspect of Qing history is studied too little in Chinese and foreign works, and Uspensky＇s book fills this lacuna. One can see that the author successfully achieved his aim, as he has drawn a vivid picture of institutions and cultural activity among Tibetan Buddhists in Beijing.
