Plants not only provide food and natural materials for humankind, but also constitute an indispensable part of the ecological system of this planet:without plants, life as we know it would simply not be possible. Through their lifespans,plants interact with a plethora of other organisms, including beneficial microbes and potential pathogens. Dissecting the underlying mechanisms determining the outcome of plant biotic interactions is a cornerstone for the design of rational management strategies to secure global food production and ecological balance.

We analyzed the case of a 49-year-old woman with HIV infection off-therapy with poor viro-immunological compensation,not vaccinated for SARS-COV-2,hospitalized for lobar pneumonia and severe COVID19-related respiratory failure in intensive care unit(ICU).The hospitalization was complicated by bacteraemic ventilator-associated pneumonia(VAP)caused by multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii(MDR-AB)isolated on pleural fluid culture,treated with colistin and cefiderocol for about 3 *** molecular research of MDR-AB on transtracheal aspirate was negative following this *** aim is to show the safety,efficacy and tolerability of colistin-based combination therapy with cefiderocol for Acinetobacter baumannii infection in HIV-infected patient.

The increasing impact of disasters at local,national,regional and global scales in recent decades has provided enough evidence to urgently direct attention towards the necessity of disaster risk reduction and management,and this requires *** without communication is barren,and to communicate the risk of disaster it is necessary to understand the perception of the people at *** particular,this paper deals with the necessity to delineate strategies of risk communication in pursuance of risk knowledge as a core of disaster risk reduction and management,especially in mountain areas of developing *** portray this issue,an analysis of landslide risk perception in terms of experience,landslide risk awareness,exposure,preparedness,and risk communication and trust was undertaken in the municipality of Teziutlán,Puebla,Mexico,an area that has been affected for several decades by episodes of mass *** of the responses to a risk perception questionnaire has offered valuable insights in terms of the information and knowledge most required by the people living in the area of interest,in order to devise a realistic and functional strategy to communicate the risk of a landslide *** includes better understanding of controlling factorsand drivers of this risk,and the establishment of potential trusted sources of risk *** considering practical matters of risk assessment and management,risk perception and communication can increase the resilience of vulnerable people,and can enhance capacity building for present and future generations.

The high penetration of distributed generation(DG)has set up a challenge for energy management and consequently for the monitoring and assessment of power quality(PQ).Besides,there are new types of disturbances owing to the uncontrolled connections of non-linear *** stochastic behaviour triggers the need for new holistic indicators which also deal with big data of PQ in terms of compression and scalability so as to extract the useful information regarding different network states and the prevailing PQ disturbances for future risk assessment and energy management *** and continuous monitoring would guarantee the report to claim for damages and to assess the risk of PQ *** this context,we propose a measurement method that postulates the use of two-dimensional(2D)diagrams based on higher-order statistics(HOSs)and a previous voltage quality index that assesses the voltage supply waveform in a continous monitoring *** suitable for both PQ and reliability applications,the results conclude that the inclusion of HOS measurements in the industrial metrological reports helps characterize the deviations of the voltage supply waveform,extracting the individual customers’pattern fingerprint,and compressing the data from both time and spatial *** method allows a continuous and robust performance needed in the SG ***,the method can be used by an average consumer as a probabilistic method to assess the risk of PQ deviations in site characterization.

One driver for steel development over recent decades has been the engineering requirements of improved strength and toughness,combined with weldability,for the safe and cost effective recovery and transmission of oil and *** has been achieved through refinement of grain size by microalloy precipitation and thermomechanical ***,little attention has been paid to these significant changes in steel chemistry and processing on corrosion resistance,despite the dominance of economic carbon steel for construction in the oil and gas *** more common forms of corrosion are associated with the presence of H 2 S or CO *** 2 in aqueous solution forms a weak acid sufficient to promote significant localized corrosion in transmission gas/oil pipelines and in well-head applications (’down-hole’).Systematic study has identified the influence of a wide range of alloying elements and different processing conditions on the resistance of low-carbon steels to CO 2 corrosion;strong carbide-forming microalloying elements such as Ti,Nb and V,along with Cr additions,and different levels of Mn,Si,Cu,Mo and Ni,have been explored,along with treatments simulating different processing *** present study also emphasizes the role of V and Ti microalloying in improving the resistance of Cr-containing carbon steel to corrosion in carbonic acid and how this is influenced by microstructure and the metallurgical condition of the microalloying addition,in particular,the extent of *** is noted that some commercially available corrosion inhibitors contain V as a vanadate compound to interfere with the corrosion process and so it is suggested that V microalloying may also be beneficial if present in an appropriate form in the *** Ti also seems to play a role in corrosion in the steels studied is judged to be compatible with the thermodynamics of transition metal anions in the Ti-V-Cr group.

The Sergipano Orogenic System(SOS)in southern Borborema Province(NE Brazil)hosts voluminous Neoproterozoic plutonism related to the Brasiliano/Pan-African *** paper presents comprehensive whole-rock geochemical data,titanite U-Pb ages,and the first combined zircon U-Pb and Lu-Hf isotope results for plutonic rocks from the MacururéDomain to constrain their sources,petrogenesis,and tectonic *** magmatic episodes are recognized and record the evolutionary stages of the orogen.(i)Early-collisional magmatism(643–628 Ma)comprises gabbros and diorites with minor tonalites characterized by well-developed tectonic foliation and evidence of solid-state *** rocks are magnesian,high-K calc-alkaline,LILE-and LREE-enriched and provide subchondriticε_(Hf)(t)values(6.5 to4.7)and Orosirian Hf-T^(C)_(DM)model ages(1.83–1.94 Ga).Such features indicate derivation from a lithospheric mantle source metasomatized by incorporating crustal components through subduction processes prior to magma generation,possibly related to the Rhyacian Orogeny(2.20–1.96 Ga).Extensive mixing/mingling between basaltic and crust-derived magmas took place at lower crustal depths,producing coeval hybrid diorites and quartz-diorites.(ii)Syn-collisional magmatism(630–624 Ma)encompasses biotite-and muscovite-bearing granodiorites and monzogranites,preserving their structures parallel to the schistosity of the country *** rocks are leucocratic,weakly metaluminous to peraluminous,and contain abundant surmicaceous *** features and geochemical composition suggest an origin related to the partial melting of graywacke protoliths with a subordinate igneous component.(iii)Late-collisional magmatism(625–600 Ma)includes undeformed and isotropic monzonites and granodiorites,which truncate the regional *** rocks are consistently metaluminous and magnesian,showing affinities with the high-K calc-alkaline to shoshonite *** element modeling with su

Objective： To examine the effect of metanol extract of Petiveria alliacea （PM） on airway inflammation in a murine model of chronic asthma. Methods： Two-month-old male BALB/c mice （n=6-8/group） were sensitized on days 0 and 14 by intraperitoneal injection of 20μg ovalbumin （OVA）. On day 25, the mice received an airway challenge with OVA （3%, w/v, in phosphate buffered saline）. PM was administered orally by oral gavage to mice at doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg/kg body weight once daily from days 18 to 23. Control mice were orally administered phosphate buffered saline （PBS） to induce a model of asthma. At the end of the test, respiratory reactivity was assayed, the total cell number, interleukin-4 （IL-4）, IL-5, IL-13, tumor necrosis factor-alpha （TNF-α） and reactive oxygen species （ROS） in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid （BALF） were determined and the levels of serum IgE, intercellular cell adhesion molecule 1 （ICAM-1） and eotoxin were measured. In addition, lung tissue was used to qualify the IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, TNF-α and transforming growth factor beta 1 （TGF-β1）. Histologic examination was performed to observe inflammatory cellular infiltration. Results： The administration of PM in comparison with the OVA-only treated group significantly attenuated the infiltration of eosinophUs and other inflammatory cells （P〈0.01）. Airway resistance （RI） in the OVA-only induced group was significantly higher than that of the PBS control group （P〈0.01） when methacholine was added. TNF-α, IgE, TGF-β1 and cytokine levels IL-4, IL-5, IL-β in the BALF decreased compared to control mice （P〈0.01 or P〈0.05）. PM treatment also inhibited the production of chemokines, eotaxin and ICAM-1 in BALF （P〈0.01）, which improved lung function. Histopathological examination revealed that the sensitized treated PM groups had significant lower in inflammatory scores similar to dexamethasone treatments and the untreated group.
