We investigate a generalized form of the Boussinesq equation, relevant for nerve pulse propagation in biological membranes. The generalized conditional symmetry （GCS） method is applied in order to obtain the conditions that enable the equation to admit a special class of second-order GCSs. For the case of quadratic nonlinearities, we outline a new class of invariant solutions.

Testosterone exerts an important regulation of cardiovascular function through genomic and nongenomic pathways. It produces several changes in cardiomyocytes, the main actor of cardiomyopathies, which are characterized by pathological remodeling, eventually leading to heart failure. Testosterone is involved in contractility, in the energy metabolism of myocardial cells, apoptosis, and the remodeling process. In myocarditis, testosterone directly promotes the type of inflammation that leads to fibrosis, and influences viremia with virus localization. At the same time, testosterone exerts cardioprotective effects that have been observed in different studies. There is increasing evidence that low endogenous levels of testosterone have a negative impact in some cardiomyopathies and a protective impact in others. This review focuses on the interrelationships between testosterone and cardiomyopathies and heart failure.

AIM： TO investigate the severity of acute pancreatitis （AP） is associated to the intensity of leukocyte activation, inflammatory up-regulation and microcirculatory disruption associated to ischernia-reperfusion injury. Hicrovascular integrity and inhibition of pro-inflammatory mediators are key-factors in the evolution of AP. Relaxin is an insulin-like hormone that has been attributed vasorelaxant properties via the nitric oxide pathway while behaving as a glucocorticoid receptor agonist. METHODS： AP was induced by the bilio-pancreatic duct-outlet-exclusion closed-duodenal-loops model. Treatment with relaxin was done at different timepoints. Nitric oxide synthase inhibition by L-NAME and glucocorticoid receptor （GR） blockage by mifepristone was considered. AP severity was assessed by biochemical and histopathological analyses. RESULTS： Treatment with relaxin reduced serum amylase, lipase, C-reactive protein, IL-6, IL-10, hsp72, LDH and 8-isoprostane as well as pancreatic and lung myeloperoxidase. Acinar and fat necrosis, hemorrhage and neutrophil infiltrate were also decreased. ATP depletion and ADP/ATP ratio were reduced while caspases 2-3-8 and 9 activities were increased. L-NAME and mifepristone decreased the efficiency of relaxin. CONCLUSION： Relaxin resulted beneficial in the treatment of AP combining the properties of a GR agonist while preserving the microcirculation and favoring apoptosis over necrosis.

The issue of this study continues the analysis of persuasive truth （the ＂truth＂ of beliefs）, a problem debated by us inseveral articles already published, especially in two of them： Doxastic Dialectics （1999） and The Probable and theProblem （2010）. In this new ＂chapter,＂ our intention is to develop more details from the perspective of subjectivity,which has a grounding role in doxastic dialectics. Doxa＇s axiomatic mechanism tries to temper the subjectivedimension of persuasive truth, by submitting the doxastic proofs to the control of the oppositional principle（=antithetic ＂reasoning＂）. Doxastic thinking discovers dialectically its own ratio （=measure）, progressivelyincreasing the relevance of the listening capacity. In the text that follows, the concept of listening is used in a largerthan sensitive sense, being equivalent to condition of receptivity.

Recent studies have shown that food systems fail to provide a healthy diet and are unfair and ecologically unsustainable. Sustainable food production will require multidisciplinary approaches, in which human, animal, and environmental health, are inextricably linked. There are various researches that make edible spontaneous herbs (ESP) the protagonists of a new trend in food approach, focused more on health, food safety, and connection with nature. The research consisted of the analysis and capitalization of (ESH) from the territory of the Republic of Moldova (RM) by reviewing their traditional use in local gastronomy and describing the nutritional characteristics. Ethnographic research techniques, such as conversations and interviews, were used to identify knowledge about the use of ESH in the RM. The use, phytochemical profile, and curative effects of the analyzed ESH were taken from the online database Plants For A Future (PFAF) and the phytochemical and ethnobotanical database of the US Department of Agriculture and Agricultural Research. The analysis of the specialized literature on ESH consumption in the world showed that their culinary application in the RM could still be diversified. Some of their properties could possibly be used in the design of new products for people with special diets.

Cereals and cereal products are the basic element in ensuring the food security of the population. Most cereal-based foods contain gluten. Nutritional therapy is the only treatment for people with gluten-related disorders. No gluten-free products are manufactured in the Republic of Moldova, and the imported ones are sold at very high prices. In this context, Moldova is an unexplored field and research is required. The paper investigated the impact of hydrothermal treatments on whole grains and sorghum groats. It was found that whole grains and sorghum groats have a cooking time of about 130 and 40 minutes, respectively, which can be reduced by about 2 times by prior hydration in water. Hydration media and their concentrations (NaCl solutions;sol. NaHCO3 and C6H8O7 concentrations 0.5%;1.0% and 2.0%) differently influence the cooking time, mass, volume and firmness of the grains.
