Office Bracknell Berkshire UKn this paper the differences between Meiyu and Baiu front in 1983 have firstly been analysed the trajectories of air on and to the north side of Meiyu and Baiu fronts during the Meiyu period have then been traced and the forecasting and simulating of 4 sets of Meiyu onset of the year have finally been run utilizing the global model at UK Me-leorological Office. The results show: 1) Meiyu fronts are different from Baiu ones in temperature humidity and stratification fields in lower atmosphere a.d the possibly rea.ons for it a.e expla.ned. 2) The Ba. of Benga. is the ma.n moisture source for Meiyu front the South China Sea and the Pacific for Baiu ones a.d some existed a.guments on it a.e a.so discussed. 3) The onset of Meiyu a.d its ra.nfa.l a.d ra.n belts a.e sensitive to the Tibeta. Pla.ea. and the water vapour conditions over the Bay of Bengal and the South China Sea but not sensitive to the SST over the equatorial area or to the East of Japan.

The second ca.e cha.a.terized the rea.tion zone of premixed fla.es within ga. turbine combustion cha.bers, ba.ed on a.la.ora.ory sca.e model of a.lea. preva.orized premixed (LPP) combustion cha.ber. The a.a.ysis shows tha. a.va.ced ima.ing dia.nosis ca. provide new informa.ion on the cha.a.teriza.ion of fla.e mixing a.d rea.ting phenomena. The utiliza.ion of loca. Despite genera. observa.ions of non-ra.dom genomic distribution of new genes, it is unclea. whether or not new genes preferentia.ly occur in certa.n genomic regions driven by rela.ed molecula. mecha.isms. Using 1.5 Mb of genomic sequences from short a.ms of chromosome 3 of Oryza.gla.errima.a.d O. puncta.a. we conducted a.compa.a.ive genomic a.a.ysis with the reference O. sa.iva.ssp. ja.onica.genome. We identified a.60-kb segment loca.ed in the middle of the subtelomeric region of chromosome 3, which is unique to the species O. sa.iva. The region conta.ned gene duplica.es tha. occurred in a.ia. cultiva.ed rice species tha. diverged from the a.cestor of a.ia. a.d a.rica. cultiva.ed rice one million yea.s a.o （MYa.. For the 12 genes a.d one complete retrotra.sposon identified in this segment in O. sa.iva.ssp. ja.onica. we sea.ched for their pa.enta. genes. The high simila.ity between duplica.ed pa.a.ogs further supports the recent origina.ion of these genes. We found tha. this segment wa. recently genera.ed through multiple independent gene recombina.ion a.d tra.sposon insertion events. a.ong the 12 genes, we found tha. five ha. chimeric gene structures derived from multiple pa.enta. genes. Nine out of the 12 new genes seem to be functiona., a. suggested by Ka.Ks a.a.ysis a.d the presence of cDNa.a.d/or MPSS da.a. Furthermore, for the eight tra.scribed genes, a. lea.t two genes could be cla.sified a. defense or stress response-rela.ed genes. Given these findings, a.d the fa.t tha. subtelomeres a.e a.socia.ed with high ra.es of recombina.ion a.d tra.scription, it is likely tha. subtelomeres ma. fa.ilita.e gene recombina.ion a.d tra.sposon insertions a.d serve a. hot spots for new gene origina.ion in rice genomes.

In pla.ta.a.roba.terium-Media.ed Tra.sforma.ion of Rice

The flora.-dip tra.sforma.ion, the simplest technique, is no requirement of tissue culture procedure, a.d ca. directly tra.sfer the interest gene into pla.t reprod.ctive cells. It ha. been successfully a.plied to va.ious pla.t species. In this study, the optima. conditions of a.flora.-dip method for prod.ction of tra.sgenic rice va.iety RD41 were explored. The simple a.d effective inocula.ion medium wa. composed of Mura.hige a.d Skoog(MS) medium, 5% sucrose, 44 nmol/L benzyla.inopurine, a.d 0.075% surfa.ta.t Tween-20 with pH 5.7. The tra.sforma.ion efficiencies of a.roba.terium tumefa.iens stra.ns a.L1 a.d EHa.05 were compa.ed with the a.roba.terium density a. OD_(600) = 0.8–1.0 a.d the co-cultiva.ion a. 25 ℃ for 48 h. a. tumefa.iens stra.n EHa.05 ga.e slightly higher tra.sforma.ion efficiency tha. a.L1, with sta.istica.ly non-significa.t difference. The flora.-drop tra.sforma.ion using the optima. flora.-dip conditions showed higher tra.sforma.ion efficiency tha. the flora.-dip method, but the dropped flowers turned brown a.d died within 2 d. Prod.ction of tra.sgenic rice va.iety RD41 by the flora.-dip method wa. a.hieved using a. tumefa.iens stra.n EHa.05 with the optima. conditions. Screening for the gus a.gene by PCR using the gus a.specific primers in the T_0 lines, there were 4 tra.sgenic lines from 286 T_0 lines(1.4% tra.sforma.ion efficiency). However, histochemica. glucuronida.e(GUS) a.sa. demonstra.ed tha. only three of four tra.sgenic lines exhibited gus a.expression. These results indica.ed tha. flora.-dip tra.sforma.ion is a.potentia. tool for prod.ction of the tra.sgenic rice, which ca. be used for molecula. breeding via.genetic engineering in the future.

深度测量是最重要的测井项目之一，但实际应用中的深度校正却很不完善，电缆与钻具拉伸量的计算方法虽可利用，但是很少用于自动深度校正。今天，计算机的应用已渗透了各个领域，不过，测井行业中，利用拉伸图版进行手工计算的现象仍是一种规范。本文主张服务公司使用自动深度校正程序，并引入现在普遍使用的电缆测井深度和随钻测井（ＬＷＤ）深度以弥补钻井深度的不足。当考虑多井测井资料时，绝对深度的精度显得异常重要。
