Fungal stromata were recently discovered in association with charcoal and burnt soil aggregates during an archaeological survey in the Chaˆtillon-sur-Seine forest *** wood and soil in the samples were dated to the medieval period(between 738 and 1411 AD).Light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy revealed that a few of the stromatal fragments still contained *** macromorphological characters were described and secondary metabolite profiles were generated using high performance liquid chromatography with diode array and mass spectrometric detection(HPLC–DAD/MS).The combination of these two data lines then allowed species *** of the fragments were assigned to Hypoxylon fragiforme,the type species of the Hypoxylaceae(Xylariales).Two further species whose stromata grew on the fossil charcoal could be tentatively identified as Jackrogersella cohaerens and(more tentatively)as Hypoxylon *** three species are still commonly encountered in the forests of Central europe ***,the HPLC-HRMS data of *** suggested the presence of unknown azaphilone dimers and of further new *** archaeological compounds were compared to fresh stromata of *** collected in Germany and subjected to the same analytical *** the major components in both samples were identified as the known mitorubrin type azaphilones and orsellinic acid,the chemical structures of seven novel complex azaphilone pigments,for which we propose the trivial names rutilins C-D and fragirubrins A-e,were elucidated using spectral methods(NMR and CD spectroscopy,high resolution mass spectrometry).It appears that these pigments had indeed persisted for millennia in the fossil stromata.

The utility of a next generation biosynthetic bacterial 6-phytase(PhyG)in restoring bone ash,bone phosphorus(P)content and performance in piglets depleted in P was evaluated.A total of 9 treatments were tested as *** 1,a negative control(NC)diet;treatments 2,3,4,NC supplemented with 250,500 or 1,000 FTU/kg of PhyG;treatments 5,6,NC supplemented with 500 or 1,000 FTU/kg of a commercial Buttiauxella sp phytase(PhyB);treatments 7,8,9,NC supplemented with monocalcium phosphate(MCP)to provide 0.7,1.4 and 1.8 g/kg digestible P,equating to a digestible P content of 1.8,2.5 and 2.9 g/*** latter constituting the positive control(PC)diet with adequate P and calcium(Ca).The NC was formulated without inorganic P(1.1 g digestible P/kg)and reduced in Ca(5.0 g/kg).Additional limestone was added to treatments 7 to 9 to maintain Ca-to-P ratio between 1.2 and 1.3.A total of 162 crossed Pietrain x(Large White×Landrace)21-d-old piglets(50%males and 50%females)were fed adaptation diets until 42 d old and then assigned to pens with 2 pigs/pen and 9 pens/treatment in a completely randomized block *** were fed mash diets based on corn and soybean meal ad libitum for 28 *** the end of the study,one piglet perpen was euthanized and the right feet collected for determination of bone strength,bone ash and mineral *** with the PC,the NC group had reduced average daily gain(ADG)and increased feed conversion ratio(FCR)during all growth phases and overall,and at d 28(70 d old)NC pigs had bones with reduced ash,Ca and P content(Pe PhyG at 250 FTU/kg improved bone ash *** PhyG dose linearly or quadratically improved bone ash,ADG and FCR(P500 FTU/kg,both PhyG and PhyB maintained ADG and FCR equivalent to *** regression analysis was done to compare the measured response parameters to increasing digestible P from *** on this analysis it was shown that PhyG and PhyB at 1,000 FTU/kg could replace 1,83 and 1.66 g/kg dige

Stretch marks are cutaneous lesions occurring frequently in weight gain during puberty and early adult life. Previous studies showed that highest contractile forces were developed by fibroblasts from early stretch marks (SMF) compared to those developed by fibroblasts from normal healthy skin (HF) of the same patient. The aim of the present study was to evaluate a possible preventive effect of a topical preparation (containing vitamins C and e and botanical extracts including natural extract of Calendula, Aloe vera and evening Primrose Oil) on the formation of stretch marks using GlasboxPlus? device. In the presence of the tested mixture, a significant overall decrease in contractile forces of SMF was noted for 24 hours of measurements compared to control SMF and made it possible to restore their capacity to the same level as HF indicating a possible preventive effect of the tested mixture. The synergistic effects of these components are certainly responsible for the decrease in contractile forces of early stretch marks fibroblasts.

Cultivated potato is a clonally propagated autotetraploid species with a highly heterogeneous *** assemblies of six cultivars including two chromosome-scale phased genome assemblies revealed extensive allelic diversity,including altered coding and transcript sequences,preferential allele expression,and structural variation that collectively result in a highly complex transcriptome and predicted proteome,which are distributed across the homologous *** species contribute to the extensive allelic diversity in tetraploid cultivars,demonstrating ancestral introgressions predating modern breeding *** a clonally propagated autotetraploid that undergoes limited meiosis,dysfunctional and deleterious alleles are not purged in tetraploid *** a quarter of the loci bore mutations are predicted to have a high negative impact on protein function,complicating breeder’s efforts to reduce genetic *** StCDF1 locus controls maturity,and analysis of six tetraploid genomes revealed that 12 allelic variants of StCDF1 are correlated with maturity in a dosage-dependent *** of the complexity of the tetraploid potato genome with its rampant structural variation and embedded deleterious and dysfunctional alleles will be key not only to implementing precision breeding of tetraploid cultivars but also to the construction of homozygous,diploid potato germplasm containing favorable alleles to capitalize on heterosis in F1 hybrids.

肥胖是较长时间段内热量摄入和消耗失衡导致的结果。两者之间的关系可以用能量平衡方程描述,能量储存的速率等于能量摄入减去消耗的速率。尽管这种基于简单数学运算的关系可能容易理解,但在现实中,各种已知和未知的系统影响能量平衡的各个组成部分(能量储存,能量摄入,能量消耗)。显然,如果对于能量平衡有完整的理解,有效的预防和治疗策略就不会让肥胖在世界范围内大规模流行。本文的目的是针对能量平衡的组成部分进行简要的概述,确定10个关键主题以及悬而未决的问题,如果这些问题得以解决,可以推动整个研究领域。这些主题涉及多个方面,从一般(方法学问题)到特定领域。这个列表并不是详尽无遗,但却为能量平衡领域的科学家制定了研究议程,为公共卫生专家制定肥胖干预的措施提供了建议。
