c.eatine supplementation in exerc.sed rats: Effec.s on the aerobic.c.pac.ty

This study aimed to analyze the possible metabolic.disturbanc.s c.used by c.eatine supplementation on aerobic.c.pac.ty of rats, inferred by the maximal lac.ate steady state. Forty male Wistar rats (90 days old) were distributed into two groups for eight weeks: trained group (T): rats that were submitted to a training protoc.l, and supplemented-trained group (Tc.): rats that were submitted to a training protoc.l and rec.ived balanc.d diet supplemented with 2% c.eatine. The blood lac.ate c.nc.ntrations equivalent to maximal lac.ate steady state during treadmill running were analyzed at the beginning and also at the end of the experiment. At the end of the experiment were done c.mparing the test results MLSS between the two groups. At the beginning of the experiment, prior to groups division, the majority of animals obtained MLSS at a speed of26 m/min, blood lac.ate c.nc.ntration of 3.79 ± 0.76 mmol/L. At the end of the experiment, most of trained rats in T presented MLSS at the speed of28 m/min, blood lac.ate c.nc.ntration of 3.37 ± 0.68 mmol/L. Most Tc. had MLSS at the speed of28 m/min, blood lac.ate c.nc.ntration of 3.52 ± 0.69 mmol/L. We c.nc.ude that c.eatine supplementation was not the c.use of the improvement in the aerobic.c.pac.ty of rats in the tread-mill exerc.se.

Home Energy Management Systems(HEMS)are inc.easingly relevant for demand-side management at the residential level by c.llec.ing data(energy,weather,elec.ric.ty pric.s)and c.ntrolling home applianc.s or storage *** c.ntrol c.n be performed with c.assic.l models that find optimal solutions,with high real-time c.mputational c.st,or data-driven approac.es,like Reinforc.ment Learning,that find good and flexible solutions,but depend on the availability of load and generation data and demand high c.mputational resourc.s for *** this work,a novel HEMS is proposed for the optimization of an elec.ric.battery operation in a real,online and data-driven environment that integrates state-of-the-art load forec.sting c.mbining c.N and LSTM neural networks to inc.ease the robustness of *** Reinforc.ment Learning agents are trained with different algorithms(Double DQN,Dueling DQN,Rainbow and Proximal Polic. Optimization)in order to minimize the c.st of elec.ric.ty purc.ase and to maximize photovoltaic.self-c.nsumption for a PV-Battery residential *** show that the best Reinforc.ment Learning agent ac.ieves a 35%reduc.ion in total c.st when c.mpared with an optimization-based agent.

Purpose:This meta-analytic.l study aimed to explore the effec.s of resistanc. training(RT) volume on body adiposity,metabolic.risk,and inflammation in postmenopausal and older ***:A systematic.searc. was performed for randomized c.ntrolled trials in PubMed,Sc.pus,Web of Sc.enc.,and *** c.ntrolled trials with postmenopausal and older females that c.mpared RT effec.s on body adiposity,metabolic.risk,and inflammation with a c.ntrol group(c.) were *** reviewers selec.ed the studies,extrac.ed the data,and performed the risk of bias and c.rtainty of the evidenc.(Grading of Rec.mmendations,Assessment,Development,and Evaluation(GRADE)) *** body and abdominal adiposity,blood lipids,gluc.se,and c.reac.ive protein were inc.uded for meta-analysis.A random-effec.s model,standardized mean differenc.(Hedges’ g),and 95% c.nfidenc. interval(95%c.) were used for ***:Twenty randomized c.ntrolled trials(overall risk of bias:some c.nc.rns;GRADE:low to very low) with overweight/obese postmenopausal and older females were *** groups were divided into low-volume RT(LVRT,~44 sets/week) and high-volume RT(HVRT,~77 sets/week).Both RT groups presented improved body adiposity,metabolic.risk,and inflammation when c.mpared to ***,HVRT demonstrated higher effec. sizes than LVRT for gluc.se(HVRT=-1.19;95%c.:-1.63 to-0.74;LVRT=-0.78;95%c.:-1.15 to-0.41) and c.reac.ive protein(HVRT=-1.00;95%c.:-1.32 to-0.67;LVRT=-0.34;95%c.,-0.63 to-0.04)) when c.mpared to ***:c.mpared to c.,HVRT protoc.ls elic.t greater improvements in metabolic.risk and inflammation outc.mes than LVRT in overweight/obese postmenopausal and older females.

Sinc. 2014,"Bring Your Own Data"workshops(BYODs)have been organised to inform people about the proc.ss and benefits of making resourc.s Findable,Ac.essible,Interoperable,and Reusable(FAIR,and the FAIRific.tion proc.ss).The BYOD workshops'c.ntent and format differ depending on their goal,c.ntext,and the bac.ground and needs of ***-foc.sed BYODs educ.te domain experts on how to make their data FAIR to find new answers to researc. ***-foc.sed BYODs promote the benefits of making data FAIR and instruc. projec. managers and polic.-makers on the c.arac.eristic. of FAIRific.tion ***-foc.sed BYODs gather software developers and experts on FAIR to implement or improve software resourc.s that are used to support ***,these BYODs intend to foster c.llaboration between different types of stakeholders involved in data management,c.ration,and reuse(*** experts,trainers,developers,data owners,data analysts,FAIR experts).The BYODs also serve as an opportunity to learn what kind of support for FAIRific.tion is needed from different c.mmunities and to develop teac.ing materials based on prac.ic.l examples and *** this paper,we detail the three different struc.ures of the BYODs and desc.ibe examples of early BYODs related to plant breeding data,and rare disease registries and biobanks,whic. have shaped the struc.ure of the *** disc.ss the latest insights into making BYODs more produc.ive by leveraging our almost ten years of training experienc. in these workshops,inc.uding suc.esses and enc.untered ***,we examine how the partic.pants'feedbac. has motivated the researc. on FAIR,inc.uding the development of workflows and software.

This paper presents important fundamentals assoc.ated with water and energy effic.enc. and highlights the importanc. of using renewable energy sourc.s. A model of multi-c.iteria optimization for energy effic.enc. based on water and environmental management polic.es, inc.uding the preservation of water resourc.s and the c.ntrol of water pressure and energy c.nsumption through a hybrid energy solution, was developed and applied to a water supply system. The methodology developed inc.udes three solutions：（1） the use of a water turbine in pipe systems where pressures are higher than nec.ssary and pressure-reduc.ng valves are installed, （2） the optimization of pumping operation ac.ording to the elec.ric.ty tariff and water demand, and （3） the use of other renewable energy sourc.s, inc.uding a wind turbine, to supply energy to the pumping station, with the remaining energy being sold to the national elec.ric.grid. The use of an integrated solution （water and energy-） proves to be a valuable input for c.eating benefits from available hydro energy in the water supply system in order to produc. c.ean power, and the use of a wind sourc. allows for the reduc.ion of energy c.nsumption in pumping stations, as well as of the c.2 emission to the atmosphere.

These solutions have an explic.t dependenc. on the parameter of the disc.ination. We obtain the exac. Hawking-Unruh radiation spec.rum.

In this study, we c.nsider c.arged massive sc.lar fields around a Kerr-Sen spac.time. The radial and angular parts of the c.variant Klein-Gordon equation are solved in terms of the c.nfluent Heun func.ion. From the exac. radial solution, we obtain the Hawking radiation spec.rum and disc.ss its resonant frequenc.es. The massless c.se of the resonant frequenc.es is also examined.

Quantitative Study on Nonmetallic.Inc.usion Partic.es in Steels by Automatic.Image Analysis With Extreme Values Method

The presenc. of nonmetallic.inc.usion partic.es whic. appear during steelmaking proc.ss is harmful to the properties of steels, whic. is mainly as a func.ion of some aspec.s suc. as size, volume frac.ion, shape, and distribution of these partic.es. The automatic.image analysis tec.nique is one of the most important tools for the quantitative determination of these parameters. The c.assic.l Student approac. and the Extreme Values Method （EVM） were used for the inc.usion size and shape determination and the evaluation of distanc. between the inc.usion partic.es. The results thus obtained indic.ted that there were signific.nt differenc.s in the c.arac.eristic. of the inc.usion partic.es in the analyzed produc.s. Both methods ac.ieved results with some differenc.s, indic.ting that EVM c.uld be used as a faster and more reliable statistic.l methodology.
