Field studies on soil ammonia(NH_(3))volatilization are restricted in many countries owing to the high costs commonly demanded for accurate *** assessed the accuracy of a simple,open chamber design to capture NH_(3)under field conditions,as affected by different chamber placement ***-15 N was surface applied to lysimeters installed in the spaces between maize *** chambers made from plastic bottles were installed on each lysimeter with variations in i)N rates(3,8,13,and 18 g m^(-2)),ii)the height of the chamber above the soil surface(0,5,and 10 mm),and iii)chamber relocation(static ***).Reference lysimeters without chambers were used to measure NH_(3)losses by^(15)*** of NH_(3)-N accounted for more than 50%of the applied *** of the chambers had no impact on their NH_(3)-trapping efficiencies,proving to be an unnecessary *** in the height of the chambers above the soil surface affected the capture of NH_(3),but the results still maintained high linearity with the NH_(3)losses quantified by the reference method(R^(2)>0.98).When the same placement scheme used in the introductory study describing the chamber was utilized(static and touching the soil surface),we found a trapping efficiency of 60%,which was very similar to that(57%)obtained in the previous *** results show that this simple,open chamber design can be used with satisfactory accuracy under field conditions,provided that simple,standardized procedures are warranted.

Evaluation of some biomarkers of inflammation in male Albino Wistar rats following ingestion of Nigerian Bonny Light Crude Oil (NBLCO) and the effect of antioxidant supplementation was the focus of this study. Forty-eight adult male Albino Wistar rats weighing 150 - 180 g were randomly divided 8 per group into: group I (control) oral gavaged 3 ml/kg of normal saline;group II received 3 ml/kg of NBLCO;groups iii, IV and V received in addition to 3 ml/kg of NBLCO 1 ml/kg vitamin C, vitamin E and 3 ml/kg of honey bee respectively;group VI received 3 ml/kg of honey. After 28 days of treatment, all animals were anaesthetized with chloroform and blood collected by cardiac puncture for analysis. Results showed that NBLCO administration significantly increased erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C-reactive protein while supplementation with antioxidant significantly reversed such effects (p < 0.05). NBLCO significantly reduced platelets and fibrinogen levels compared with the control group (p < 0.05). Interestingly, the vitamin supplementation significantly reduced platelets and fibrinogen levels compared to group II (NBLCO) (p < 0.05). Honey supplementation on the other hand significantly reduced platelets and fibrinogen compared to group II (NBLCO) (p < 0.05). From the results obtained it is concluded that ingestion of NBLCO has the potential to induce development and progression of inflammation but could substantially be mitigated by supplementation with antioxidant vitamins C, E and honey.

Background: M. oleifera is a highly valued medicinal plant used widely from time immemorial to treat various ailments. However, with continued un-standardized use of the plant leaves, studies have reported organ toxicity to the liver, kidney and the heart. As communities continue to use M. oleifera leaves for its medicinal and nutritional values, there is need to find an antidote for its hepatotoxicity. Aim: The study established the reversal effect of N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) on M. oleifera aqueous leaf extract-induced hepatotoxicity in Wistar albino rats. Methods: Twenty-four (24) rats received a toxic dose (8.05 g/kg bwt) of M. oleifera leaf extract for 28 days to cause sub-acute hepatotoxicity. They were divided into 4 groups of 6 rats each. Group I received 1 ml normal (control group), Group II received 1000 ng/kg NAC, Group iii received 1200 mg/kg NAC and Group IV received 1500 mg/kg NAC. Another group of 6 rats (Group V) received 0.75 mg/kg Paracetamol to cause hepatotoxicity. Group V (a positive control) received the prescribed clinical dose of 1200 mg/kg NAC which reverses the hepatotoxicity. All the NAC doses were given once a day intragastric for 7 days. On days: 1, 3 and 7 of receiving NAC, liver serum enzymes and bilirubin were measured. On day 7 the animals were sacrificed and liver tissue harvested for histopathology analysis. Results: A dose of 8.05 g/kg of M. oleifera leaf extract and 0.75 mg/kg Paracetamol were able to induce hepatotoxicity in Wister albino rats in 28 days. The M. oleifera extract induced hepatotoxic rats treated with NAC at doses of 1000 mg/kg, 1200 mg/kg and 1500 mg/kg, had a reduction in mean serum liver enzymes, plus reduced mean serum bilirubin levels. The liver histopathological analysis showed reduced inflammation after treatment with NAC for 3 and 7 days in the M. oleifera and paracetamol induced hepatotoxic rats. Orthognathic surgery involves correction of functional and often esthetic disharmonies. The purpose of this case report is topresent the case of a 22 years-old female with class iii dentofacial deformity that required orthognathic surgery to treat hermalocclusion and buccal fat pad excision for optimizing soft-tissue facial contour. Treatment planning involved a counterclockwiserotation of the maxilomandibular complex with genioplasty based on digital 3D surgical planning using the Dolphin Imaging 11.7 3DPremium software. Prototyping splints allowed surgical procedures （bilateral sagital mandibular osteotomy associated to a Le fort Iosteotomy） that corrected position of the gnathic bones. In the same surgical procedure, the buccal fat pad was partially removed for asharp cheek contour giving a slimmer appearance to her face. After 5 months, the patient was reassessed and reported no complaintsregarding esthetics or function. This case illustrates that a combination oforthognathic surgery and an esthetic procedure can result in astable and harmonious facial as well as occlusal outcomes.

肝素作为临床上重要的抗凝血药物,从1916年发现至今已有百年历史,但对其研究还是存在很多问题。肝素是糖醛酸（包括?-L-艾杜糖醛酸（Ido A）or?-D-葡萄糖醛酸（GlcA））和氨基葡萄糖以1,4糖苷键交替连接。糖醛酸的2位可以被硫酸基取代...

肝素作为临床上重要的抗凝血药物,从1916年发现至今已有百年历史,但对其研究还是存在很多问题。肝素是糖醛酸（包括?-L-艾杜糖醛酸（Ido A）or?-D-葡萄糖醛酸（GlcA））和氨基葡萄糖以1,4糖苷键交替连接。糖醛酸的2位可以被硫酸基取代。氨基葡萄糖的N,3和6为也可以被硫酸基取代。氨基葡萄糖的N位还可以乙酰化。肝素作为多糖类药物同样存在相对不均一的问题。以USP肝素为原料通过superdex 75柱对其进行进一步的分离纯化,收集出峰,主峰和峰末的组分,分子量依次为18000,16500和15000道尔顿。对不同分子量肝素利用肝素酶完全酶解后进行二糖组成测定。结果表明不同分子量的肝素在二糖组成上没有明显差异。Tri S是肝素二糖的主要组成部分。三种分子量肝素Tri S的含量依次为70%,68%和65%,随着分子量的升高,Tri S的含量略有降低。肝素完全酶解后会产生还原端的氨基葡萄糖3-O为被硫酸化3-O-S四糖。3-O-S四糖来源于肝素最小活性单位-肝素五糖。分析结果表明,肝素中主要存在ΔUA+Glc NAc6S+Glc UA+Glc NS3S,ΔUA+Glc NAc6S+Glc UA+Glc NS3S6S,ΔUA+Glc NS6S+Glc UA+Glc NS3S6S,ΔUA2S+Glc NAc6S+Glc UA+Glc NS3S6S和ΔUA2S+Glc NS6S+Glc UA+Glc NS3S6S。三种分子量肝素3-O-S四糖的含量依次位5.6%,6.4%和7.9%。通过SPR测定不同分子量肝素与AT iii的结合活力表明,随着分子量的增加,肝素的抗凝血活性也随着提高,高分子量和中分子量的肝素均要由于未进一步纯化的USP肝素。

宽禁带的Ⅱ—Ⅵ族化合物半导体,由于其发光效率高而一直受到重视,一种明显的应用乃是P—n结的发光二极管。但是,在以往,这些材料只能形成n型,不能形成P型。我们用一种与通常不同的工艺——向 n型衬底中扩散,成功地得到稳定的低阻 P型 ZnSxSe1-x和ZnSe,并制成了低阻的发光二极管。扩散过程由两步完成:首先是淀积过程继之是驱入过程。用镓、铟和纯制作P型材料。（i）Ⅲ（A）族元素仅在大量掺杂时起作用。（ii）P型迁移率为空穴浓度的函数;温度关系表明能级是浅的。（iii）发光二极管具有低电阻;在势垒电压以上,光输出与电流成线性关系。（iv）在势垒电压以下,观测到结上的发生电流n=2,对于最佳的二极管其外量子效率估计约为1％。

BACKGROUND Mucoepidermoid carcinoma(MEC)is a rare malignancy of the head and neck;however,it accounts for a majority of the tumors of the salivary *** study used a national population-based registry to describe the pre-treatment and treatment-related prognostic factors that influence survival in patients with MEC of the major salivary *** our knowledge,this is the largest populationbased study examining predictors of both overall and cause-specific survival of MEC of the major salivary *** To identify prognostic factors influencing overall survival(OS)and cause-specific survival(CSS)of patients with MEC of the major salivary *** We used the Surveillance,Epidemiology and End-Results Database of the National Cancer Institute to investigate a variety of factors that could influence survival of patients diagnosed with mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the major salivary glands.A total of 2210 patients diagnosed with MEC of the major salivary glands during the years of 1975-2016 were *** primary endpoints were OS and *** regression analysis was used to perform univariate and multivariate analyses of clinical variables such as age at diagnosis,diagnosis year,sex,race,tumor size,stage,grade,treatment with or without surgical excision,and adjuvant radiotherapy *** A total of 2210 patients diagnosed with MEC of the major salivary glands met inclusion *** this study,95%of patients underwent surgical excision and 41%received adjuvant radiation *** OS time for Grade I,II,and iii/IV was 401 mo(±48.25,95%CI),340 mo(±33.68,95%CI)and 55 mo(±11.05,95%CI),*** analysis revealed that lack of surgical excision was associated with decreased OS[hazard ratio(HR)4.26,P<0.0001]and that patients with localized disease had improved OS compared to both regional and distant disease(HR 3.07 and 6.96,respectively,P<0.0001).Additionally,univariate analysis demonstrated that male sex,age over 50 at diagnosis,G
