Device to Device (D2D) communication is expected to be anessential part of 5G cellular networks. D2D communication enables closeproximitydevices to establish a direct communication session. D2D communicationoffers many advantages, such as reduced latency, high data rates,range extension, and cellular offloading. The first step to establishing a D2Dsession is device discovery;an efficient device discovery will lead to efficientD2D communication. D2D device further needs to manage its mode of communication,perform resource allocation, manage its interference and mostimportantly control its power to improve the battery life of the device. Thiswork has developed six distinct scenarios in which D2D communication canbe initiated, considering their merits, demerits, limitations, and optimizationparameters. D2D communication procedures for the considered scenarioshave been formulated, based upon the signal flow, containing device discovery,resource allocation, and session teardown. Finally, latency for each scenariohas been evaluated, based on propagation and processing delays.

Jinan,the provincial capital of Shandong,is a rapidly urbanizing metropolis that provides a unique site for urban ecology *** though urbanization has a devastating effect on butterfly populations,no reports regarding butterfly species richness,abundance,or distribution have been reported in *** are regarded as “flagships” in insect conservation of the known world insect *** are sensitive environmental indicators to urbanization,deforestation,fragmentation,and agricultural *** are exposed to light levels,have a short generation period,high mobility,and specialized habitat *** a result,it is essential to document the butterfly species richness,abundance,distribution patterns,and variables that influence *** the current study（N=23）,sites including 11 urban parks,6 agricultural lands and 6 forestlands were selected for two consecutive years（2020-2021）for the first butterfly survey in Jinan.A total of 2586 butterflies were examined from three different habitats,i.e.,urban parks,agricultural and forestland,representing 50 species in 38 genera and 5 families,including three newly recorded species,i.e.,Graphium chironides,Mimathyma schrenckii,and Libythea celtis,for Shandong *** was the most abundant（42%）,followed by Lycaenidae（22%）,Papilionidae（20%）,Pieridae（10%）,and Hesperiidae（6%）.Pieris rapae was the most common *** contrast,Apatura ilia,Erynnis montana,Graphium chironides,Kaniska canace,Libythea celtis,Melitaea didymoides,Mimathyma schrenckii,Papilio macilentus,Vanessa indica,and Vanessa cardui has only one observed *** was the most common *** contrast,Apatura,Erynnis,Graphium,Kaniska,Libythea,Melitaea,and Mimathyma,being the minor genera,has only one number of observed *** had the most abundant butterflies（1137）,followed by agricultural land（894）,and urban parks were the least（577）.In forestland,45 species were observed,followed by agricultural land,i.e.,28

The Sohnari Member of the Early Eocene Laki Formation is massively deposited in the Southern Indus Basin of Pakistan and is considered a potential source rock to generate ***,the detailed paleoclimatic,paleoweathering,and depositional conditions of the Sohnari Member have not been studied *** research mainly discusses the detailed mineralogical(bulk and clay)and elemental geochemistry of the Laki Formation from two outcrop sections(Jhimpir and Lakhra)in the Southern Indus Basin,*** bulk minerals,including quartz(low),hematite,calcite,halite,gypsum,and clay minerals such as kaolinite,chlorite,smectite and illite have been discussed *** results demonstrate the paleo-environment of studied area was arid with enhanced saline and weak to strong oxidizing depositional *** chemical index of alteration(CIA)values in Jhimpir and Lakhra sections are in the ranges of 41.30-97.93 and 22.30-96.19,respectively,indicating that the Sohnari sediments experienced weak to intense chemical weathering in the source *** interpretation of the A-CN-K ternary diagram is consistent with the clay mineral contents in the studied sediments,which is characterized by the predominance of kaolinite,gibbsite and chlorite,demonstrating the weak to strong weathering state under warm and humid climatic *** chemical indices such as Sr/Ba,δU,V/Cr,Ni/Co,and Cu/Zn,U/Th and Ba/Ga show that Sohnari rocks of Early Eocene Laki Formation underwent strong evaporation,oxic water column with warm to humid and minor contact of cold climatic *** on our present data,it can be concluded that the sediments of Sohnari Member of Laki Formation from Jhimpir and Lakhra areas of Southern Indus Basin in Pakistan are related to Indio-Eurasian collision and came from the Indian shield rocks that were deposited in a brackish water body with a minor contact of the freshwater oxidizing paleo-environment depositional conditions.

落石是压力管道和其他管道穿越丘陵地区时所面临的一个严重问题。在大多数情况下,管道无法承受落石所带来的危害,比如,在实际工程中,从数百英尺高处坠落的巨石将会对管道及工程造成毁灭性的灾难,因而,在管道设计过程中必须考虑落石对管道的影响。落石和滑坡对压力管道的冲击荷载在某些实际工程中不是必需的,可以不加考虑。但是,在管道系统的设计阶段必须考虑这些荷载的影响。对于山区来说,落石和滑坡对压力管道的冲击荷载的影响是不可忽视的,在设计处于落石或滑坡风险下的压力管道段时必须考虑到这一点。为满足管道使用要求,需要一个有效的保护系统来消除或减小落石冲击载荷对压力管道的影响。如果压力管道有落石风险,则最需要考虑如何使压力管道免受落石冲击载荷的影响。为此,研究人员提出了一些相应的保护结构及方案。在设计压力管道时,采用这些结构和方案有助于避免或减小落石冲击对管道的危害。保护压力管道不受外部冲击的一般方法是将其掩埋,然而,仅仅考虑埋一根压力管道是不能解决问题的。因此,需要通过适当的工程设计,提出一种更有效、更可靠的防落石方法来建立合适的保护系统,从而避免压力管道遭受冲击破坏。通过查阅文献我们发现对压力管道防护结构的研究较少。***等人在2006年开发了砾石埋管的有限元模型,该模型可用于不同覆土高度的管道的荷载估算,并通过实际结构实验验证了该模型的有效性。在另一项研究中,***等人在2005年研究并评估了两种保护系统,即GBPS（Gravel Based Protection System,砾石保护系统）和EPS（Enhanced Protection System,增强型保护系统）。砾石保护系统是一种具有密实砂砾的覆盖管,而增强型保护系统是由作为能量/冲击阻尼的砾石和作为承载结构的混凝土墙支撑埋置钢板的结构组成。实际的试验研究表明,压力管道材料的刚度、管沟内的管周刚度以及覆岩的高度都对能量吸收和载荷分布有重要影响。ANIL等人在2015年研究了土工泡沫在管道保护中的作用。他们通过对埋地钢和复合管试样进行结构实验,研究了土工泡沫材料的吸能性能,模拟了在使用该泡沫材料时的落石实验。该研究发现地质泡沫有助于能量吸收,从而保护了地下结构。并且通过文献调研,我们发现其他几项研究大多与穿过断层带、滑坡等的埋地钢管的变形分析有关,这有助于理解和拟议研究的总体理论概念。许多原因都可能导致埋管变形,其中环形椭圆化、弯曲、弯曲应变、屈曲等是埋地管道所面临的几种变形模式。研究表明,临界荷载与埋于地下的管长的平方根成反比,因此长管道即使在较小的压缩载荷作用下,也会发生弯曲,并可能造成人身伤亡,经济损失和环境危害。由于埋地管道的力学行为非常复杂,可能会产生不同类型的变形,如环向变形、纵向弯曲等,本文为了分析影响埋地管道力学性能的主要因素,将采用简化模型对其进行力学分析。本文采用不锈钢管对压力钢管的响应进行了实验研究,以不锈钢管为研究对象,研究了压力管道在冲击载荷下的力学行为,同时采用实验验证了该模型。实验设计思路如下:在实验室设计和制备了实验装置,包括装载架、作为压力管道容器的玻璃箱和具有升降功能的加载装置等。实验采用了不同的参数进行操作和对比,即管径、管厚、管深、落石高度、落石载荷和回填材料的砾石砂比。本实验装置的主要设计条件为管内静压和水击压强,其中,水击压强主要是由于水流量变化或突变负荷后的阀门关闭引起的。由于水击压强产生的压力影响了设计的成本和安全性,管道尺寸过大和过小都可能会造成安全风险。因此,为避免较高的水击压强的影响,采用合适的管道尺寸对于管道设计师至关重要。通过改变管道参数（即管径、管厚）以及管道的埋管深度、填充材料砾砂比和重物坠落高度,我们进行了多次实验。在实验中,由安装在对称位置的应变片采集轴向和环向的实时应变。为避免实验结果的偶然性和误差,对每个样品分别进行了三次重复试验。根据实验结果,得到了不同冲击载荷条件下的冲击时间曲线、力位移图和冲击力能量对比图。另外,本文也对冲击力、冲击能量、冲击速度和位移进行了理论计算,并与实验结果进行了比较。在第二章,我讨论了研究方法,推导了理论值的计算公式,并对本研究进行了建模。考虑情况如下:其中一块巨石从一定高度落下,压缩了下面的回填材料,穿透回填料落在埋管上,因此损失了一些能量,并将另一部分能量转移到地下压力管道;压力管道在冲击力的作用下发生变形,轴向或环向的变形可能是弹性或塑性的,具体情况取决于冲击的严重程度。这种情况表明,对于特定的冲击力,如果回填土的能量阻尼性能得到改善,则损伤可以最小化。由于与结构力学相关的问题比较复杂,所以埋地管道的设计具有一定的复杂性。因此,本章简要介绍了环设计、管梁强度、土力学等相关理论,这将有助于了解情况和设计埋管。第三章详细介绍了实验装置及测试系统。实验分为五个部分

Effect of deposition parameters on structural and mechanical properties of niobium nitride synthesized by plasma focus device

Effects of deposition angle and axial distance on the structural and mechanical properties of niobium nitride syn- thesized by a dense plasma focus （DPF） system are studied. The x-ray diffraction （XRD） confirms that the deposition parameters affect the growth of multi-phase niobium nitride. Scanning electron microscopy （SEM） shows the granular surface morphology with strong thermally assisted coagulation effects observed at the 5-cm axial distance. The non-porous granular morphology observed at the 9-cm distance along the anode axis is different from those observed at deposition angles of 10° and 20°. Energy dispersive x-ray （EDX） spectroscopy reveals the maximum nitrogen content at the shortest （5 cm） axial position. Atomic force microscopy （AFM） exhibits that the roughness of coated films varies for coatings synthesized at different axial and angular positions, and the Vickers micro-hardness test shows that a maximum hardness value is （08.44 ±0.01） GPa for niobium nitride synthesized at 5-cm axial distance, which is about 500% more than that of a virgin sample.

A new auxiliary information based cumulative sum median control chart for location monitoring

Control charts are commonly used tools in statistical process control for the detection of shifts in process parameters. Shewhart-type charts are efficient for large shift values, whereas cumulative sum(CUSUM) charts are effective in detecting medium and small shifts. Control chart use commonly assumes that data are free of outliers and parameters are known or correctly estimated based on an in-control process. In practice, these assumptions are not often true because some processes occasionally have outliers. Monitoring the location parameter is usually based on mean charts, which are seriously affected by violations of these assumptions. In this paper we propose several CUSUM median control charts based on auxiliary variables, and offer comparisons with their corresponding mean control charts. To monitor the location parameter, we examined the performance of mean and median control charts in the presence and absence of outliers. Both symmetric and non-symmetric processes were studied to examine the properties of the proposed control charts to monitor the location parameter using CUSUM control charts. We used different run length measures to study in-control and out-of-control performances of CUSUM charts. Results revealed that our proposed control charts perform much better than the traditional charts in the presence of outliers. A real application of our study was provided using data on concrete compressive strength as it relates to the quality of cement manufacturing.

Effects of Zr substitution on structural,morphological,and magnetic properties of bismuth iron oxide phases

The present study involves co-precipitation method to grow un-doped and Zr-doped bismuth iron oxide with x_（Zr）=0.10–0.30. The molar solutions of ferric chloride（FeCl_3）, zirconyle chloride（ZrOCl_2）, and bismuth chloride（BiCl_3） are prepared in distilled water, and are allowed to react with sodium hydroxide（Na OH）. The synthesized powders are then converted into pellets, which are sintered at 500℃ for two hours in a muffle furnace. X-ray diffraction（XRD） shows multi-phase formation in un-doped and Zr doped samples. Scanning electron microscope（SEM） depicts layered structure at low Zr concentration x_（Zr）= 0.10, while uniform surface with smaller grains and voids is observed at x_（Zr）= 0.20, but at x_（Zr）= 0.30, cracks and voids become prominent. The ferromagnetic nature of the un-doped sample is observed by vibrating sample magnetometer（VSM）, while paramagnetic behavior appears due to Zr doping. The ferromagnetism in un-doped sample is lost by Zr doping, which is due to the formation of additional Fe–O–Zr bonds that induce paramagnetic behavior.

Atmospheric pressure MOCVD was used to deposit ZnO layers on sapphire and homoepitaxial template under different oxygen flow *** content affects the lattice constant value and texture coefficient of the films as evidenced by the θ-2θ peaks position and their *** deposited at lower oxygen flow rate possess higher value of strain and *** films deposited at high oxygen flow rates show intense UV emissions while samples prepared under oxygen deficient conditions exhibited defect related emission along with UV *** results are compared to the ZnO films deposited homoepitaxially on annealed ZnO *** data obtained suggest that ZnO stoichiometry is responsible for the structural and optical quality of ZnO films.

Effects of drug-polymer dispersions on solubility and in vitro diffusion of artemisinin across a polydimethylsiloxane membrane

Artemisinin(ART) is a sesquiterpene lactone with an endo-peroxide bridge that is thought to be responsible for its antimalarial *** has low oral bioavailability because of aqueous insolubility,which leads to local toxicity at the site of *** present work focused on increasing its solubility and evaluating its permeation across a model membrane to mimic transdermal delivery that bypasses the hepatic *** this purpose,physical mixtures(PM),solid dispersions(SD) and lyophilized dispersions(LD) with different drug-polymer ratios(1:0.5,1:1,1:2,1:4 and 1:9) were prepared using the hydrophilic polymer polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP).Drug-polymer dispersions were characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).Solubility was measured in three solvents:de-ionized water,phosphate buffered saline(PBS) and *** toluene-water partition coefficient was evaluated and compared with the literature and calculated logP *** vitro diffusion of ART was studied across a polydimethylsiloxane membrane from a saturated solution of drug-polymer *** patterns showed a gradual decrease in crystallinity of ART with increasing polymer concentration,while FTIR confirmed no interactions between ART and *** was increased up to 4-,5-and 8-fold for LD in water,PBS and methanol,*** logP for toluene-water was 2.65 ± 0.3,which is in good agreement with literature and calculated logP *** was enhanced,which is attributed to the decrease in crystallinity and increase in wettability of the *** ART flux was significantly higher than that of pure ART(0.12 ± 0.01) with increasing PVP concentration for SD and LD *** conclusion,drug-polymer dispersions with PVP improve the pharmaceutical properties of ART in the order LD>SD>PM.
