The systematic advances in the power conversion efficiency(PCE)and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have been driven by the developments of perovskite materials,electron transport layer(ETL)materials,and interfacial passivation between the relevant *** zinc oxide(ZnO)is a promising ETL in thin film photovoltaics,it is still highly desirable to develop novel synthetic methods that allow both fine-tuning the versatility of ZnO nanomaterials and improving the ZnO/perovskite *** various inorganic and organic additives,zwitterions have been effectively utilized to passivate the perovskite *** this vein,we develop novel,well-characterized betaine-coated ZnO QDs and use them as an ETL in the planar n-i-p PSC architecture,combining the ZnO QDs-based ETL with the ZnO/perovskite interface passivation by a series of ammonium halides(NH_(4)X,where X=F,Cl,Br).The champion device with the NH4F passivation achieves one of the highest performances reported for ZnO-based PSCs,exhibiting a maximum PCE of~22%with a high fill factor of 80.3%and competitive stability,retaining~78%of its initial PCE under 1 Sun illumination with maximum power tracking for 250 h.

Fluorine Doping Effect in the New Superconducting Y3Ba5Cu8OyCompound

The newly identified yttrium based high critical temperature (Tc) superconductor of composition Y3Ba5Cu8Oy (Y358) and the fluorine doped Y3Ba5Cu8Oy-0.2F0.2 (Y358+F) compounds were synthesized by solid state reaction technique. The micro structural and morphological features of the synthesized samples were investigated by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Energy Dispersive Spectrum (EDS) analysis. The XRD of the samples revealed a structure similar to Y1Ba2Cu3Oy-o(Y123) compound with about three fold larger ‘c’ axis. The SEM image of the fluorine doped sample (Y358+F) showed a needle like inter growth which was different from that of pure (Y358) sample. The Tc of the sample, measured by self inductance method showed an onset of superconductivity at 92 K for the pure and 98 K for the fluorine doped sample. On further heating the fluorinated sample for 24 hours, the needle like intergrowth had disappeared as seen from SEM micrograph and the Tc onset of the sample had increased to 110 K with a two step transition.

Preoperative Atrial Fibrillation and T-Wave Inversion Associated with Postoperative Pulmonary Edema

Background: Atrial fibrillation (AF) and T wave inversion (TWI) are occasionally found on pre-operative electrocardiograms (EKG) of patients with long standing hy-pertension (HTN) associated with left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH). Each of these two pathologies, AF and LVH, can impose negative hemodynamic effects on the car-diac function. Case: We present a case of a patient with AF, TWI and long standing HTN that went into post-operative pulmonary edema. Conclusion: Even returning to base line poorly controlled hypertension, and even more so during a hypertensive cri-sis, their concurrent presence may inflict even more detrimental effect manifested by elevation of pulmonary venous pressure and pulmonary edema.

Objectives: Halliwick-based hydrotherapy has become one of the most widespread approaches in the water environment for people with disabilities. The Swimming with Independent Measure (SWIM) test was developed by Peackok (1993) based on the need to create specific aquatic assessment tests for people with disabilities. The purpose of our study was its translation into Greek language and the investigation of its metric properties. Methods: A total of 40 children with cerebral palsy aged on average 7.36 years participated in the study: 20 children with GMFCS 1 - 5 and cognitive limitations, and 20 children with GMFCS 1 - 4 without cognitive limitations. The Effectiveness of 6 Months Hydrotherapy Program Based on Halliwick Concept on the Respiratory System of Down Syndrome Children

The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of a hydrotherapy program on FVC, FEV, PEF, RR and SaO2 on children with Down syndrome over six months and to compare it with a conventional respiratory physiotherapy program. Eighteen children, with Down Syndrome, aged 6 - 11 years (9.53 ± 0.454), divided into two groups of nine, the intervention group (IG), that participated in the hydrotherapy program and the control group (CG) participated in the classical physiotherapy program. We calculated mean values of FVC, FEV, PEF, RR and SaO2 before and after six months intervention for both groups. There was a statistically significant improvement in all factors for both groups. However, were statistically more significant for the intervention group (IG). Based on a specific protocol of intervention in the water and at the same time with a group of children who participated in a similar program of classical respiratory physiotherapy, it was found to be statistically more important than the second group in improving respiratory function. We recommend the use of hydrotherapy as a complementary therapy that should be part of the weekly program of these children in addition to the existing treatments they attend.

Fluorine-18 Radiochemistry: A Novel Thiol-Reactive Prosthetic Group, [18F]FBAMPy

A novel thiol-reactive bifunctional agent, an analogue of fluorobenzaldehyde-O-[6-(2,5-dioxo-2,5- dihydro-pyrrol-1-yl)-hexyl]oxime, (FBAM) has been synthesized. The new prosthetic group, [18F]- FBAMPy, replaces the 4-fluorophenyl moiety with a 2-fluoropyridinyl moiety leading to increased polarity (FBAM analytical HPLC Rf = 6.4 min;FBAMPy Rf = 4.8 min) while retaining the sulfur-reactive pendant. By altering the polarity of the molecule, this new prosthetic group should have significant impact in coupling it with small peptides and other biomolecules.
