In bioinformatics applications,examination of microarray data has received significant interest to diagnose *** gene expression data can be defined by a massive searching space that poses a primary challenge in the appropriate selection of *** data classification incorporates multiple disciplines such as bioinformatics,machine learning(ML),data science,and pattern *** paper designs an optimal deep neural network based microarray gene expression classification(ODNN-MGEC)model for bioinformatics *** proposed ODNN-MGEC technique performs data normalization process to normalize the data into a uniform ***,improved fruit fly optimization(IFFO)based feature selection technique is used to reduce the high dimensionality in the biomedical ***,deep neural network(DNN)model is applied for the classification of microarray gene expression data and the hyperparameter tuning of the DNN model is carried out using the Symbiotic Organisms Search(SOS)*** utilization of IFFO and SOS algorithms pave the way for accomplishing maximum gene expression classification *** examining the improved outcomes of the ODNN-MGEC technique,a wide ranging experimental analysis is made against benchmark *** extensive comparison study with recent approaches demonstrates the enhanced outcomes of the ODNN-MGEC technique in terms of different measures.

The Internet of Things(IoT)is a modern approach that enables connection with a wide variety of devices *** to the resource constraints and open nature of IoT nodes,the routing protocol for low power and lossy(RPL)networks may be vulnerable to several routing ***’s why a network intrusion detection system(NIDS)is needed to guard against routing assaults on RPL-based IoT *** imbalance between the false and valid attacks in the training set degrades the performance of machine learning employed to detect network ***,we propose in this paper a novel approach to balance the dataset classes based on metaheuristic optimization applied to locality-sensitive hashing and synthetic minority oversampling technique(LSH-SMOTE).The proposed optimization approach is based on a new hybrid between the grey wolf and dipper throated optimization *** prove the effectiveness of the proposed approach,a set of experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of NIDS for three cases,namely,detection without dataset balancing,detection with SMOTE balancing,and detection with the proposed optimized LSHSOMTE *** results showed that the proposed approach outperforms the other approaches and could boost the detection *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to study the significance and stability of the proposed *** conducted experiments include seven different types of attack cases in the RPL-NIDS17 *** on the 2696 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 proposed approach,the achieved accuracy is(98.1%),sensitivity is(97.8%),and specificity is(98.8%).

The Effectiveness of Concept Mapping as an Educational Nursing Intervention Strategy to Handle Diabetic Foot: Integrative Review

Introduction: Concept map is used as a teaching strategy, where nursing uses this method often to learn more effectively and to be able to apply knowledge when working with diabetic patients. Objective: The aim of this review is to examine all the published articles related to the effectiveness of concept mapping as an educational nursing intervention strategy to handle diabetic foot from 2010-2019. Methodology: Integrative review design in reviewing pertaining literature. Key words related to research were used, database obtained from Cochrane library, MEDLINE, PubMed, Science Direct, Cumulative Index Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), ProQuest and Ovid databases were searched, covering the period 2010 to 2019. Other Studies were included if they were related to the effectiveness of concept mapping as an educational nursing intervention strategy to handle diabetic foot. Results: Reveled that concept mapping is a very crucial education tool for both nurses and patients. It is used by nurses to teach diabetic patients how to prevent diabetic foot ulcer, as well as to understand how to organize information and understand the facts. Conclusion: This review confirmed that there are growing confirming literatures about the application of concept maps as an effective nursing strategy. It that can be used by nurses and other health care professionals, to maintain healthy feet and prevent further complications such as bruises, cuts and sores.

Several 3-aminoquinazolin-4-(3H)-one derivatives were synthesized and *** proton nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra,we have investigated the barriers to rotation around the N ― N bond as a function of *** in the NMR spectra at high temperatures are explained in terms of hindered rotations of the N ― N *** energies of activation for the rate determining stereochemical process were calculated to be as high as 67-75 kJ · *** state molecular geometries and vibrational frequencies were calculated using the HF/6-31G and B3LYP/6-31G level of *** optimized bond lengths and bond angles are in good agreement with experimental values at both theoretical levels.

Predictors of Obesity among Adults Who Have Diabetes Mellitus Type Two

Background and Purpose: Obesity and Diabetes Mellitus type two (DMII) have a known association. Yet, the socio-demographic predictors of obesity in special populations such as people who have DMII remain unclear. The purpose of this study was to determine the socio-demographic predictors of obesity among adults who have DMII. Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study targeting 488 adult clients who had the diagnosis of DMII. The participants were asked to complete a survey covering demographic and clinical variables of age, gender, employment, income, education, weight, height, medical insurance, duration of diabetes and type of treatment taken to control diabetes. Besides, Body Mass Index (BMI), the dependent variable, was calculated. Descriptive statistics were used to present clients’ socio-demographic and clinical characteristics. Univariate Binary logistic regression was used to determine the socio-demographic predictors of obesity. Results: Results showed that age, household income and employment were independent predictors of BMI in adults who have DMII. Gender and level of education were not significant predictors of higher BMI. Conclusion: Those results suggest that understanding of the contributing variables of obesity in adults who have DMII can help identify the at-risk groups allowing for early diagnosis and establishment of effective prevention and management plans.

Factors Affecting Training Efficacy in Residency Program Adopted by New Graduate Nurses in Saudi Arabia

Objective: The purpose of the studies is to analyze and identify the level of competency, which includes knowledge and skills between SCDP nurses (Residence Program) and newly graduate nurses (Non-residence) in Saudi Arabia. Methods: A survey uses an open-ended question conducted among the participant. The data is collected by using tape recording during the interview session. Newly graduate nurses and SCDP nurses were included in this study. (5) Resident nurses vs. (5) non-resident were included in this study making 10 sample size of qualitative study. Results: Findings of the study show significant differences between nonresident and resident in their journey of orientation, competency development and their learning opportunities. Residents are more likely feel less distress and more satisfied about their experience entering the residence program. Conclusion: Nursing Residency program helps in supporting nurses to build a future leader. Hence, it helps in their critical thinking, skills and knowledge, which elevate their confidence level.

Auxetics in Biomedical Applications: A Review

Materials exhibiting auxetic properties have a negative Poisson’s ratio, which intrigued researchers to understand the behavior of auxetic structure. Several researchers focused on the different auxetic cell designs, while others focused on the auxetic applications. With the advance of additive manufacturing methods, computer-aided design and finite element analysis in recent decades, auxetics have been explored. One of the interesting applications is in the field of biomedical devices or implants, especially for certain natural biomedical organs such as tissues, certain ligaments that have auxetic properties. This paper is an overview of auxetic design approaches and biomedical applications.

Characterization and antimicrobial,antioxidant,and anti-proliferative activities of green synthesized magnesium oxide nanoparticles with shoot extracts of Plicosepalus curviflorus

Objective:To synthesize magnesium oxide nanoparticles using ethanol extract of shoots of Plicosepalus curviflorus(PC-MgONPs)and evaluate the antimicrobial,antioxidant,and anti-proliferative activities of ***:The green synthesized PC-MgONPs were characterized by ultraviolet-visible(UV),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy,zeta potential,energy dispersive X-ray,and scanning electron ***,we investigated total antioxidant capacity and antimicrobial and anti-proliferative activities using breast cancer cell lines(MDA-231).Results:The UV spectrum of PC-MgONPs showed a sharp absorption peak at 300 *** presence of magnesium,oxygen,and sodium was confirmed by energy dispersive X-ray *** electron microscopy revealed PC-MgONPs as roughly spherical granular structures with sizes ranging from 20.0 to ***-MgONPs showed considerable antimicrobial activities against Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus,Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans with zones of inhibition of 11-17 *** addition,total antioxidant capacity and anti-proliferative activity of PC-MgONPs against MDA-231 cells were ***:The synthesized PC-MgONPs could be a potent antimicrobial,antioxidant and anti-cancer agent,which needs further investigation.
