The bacterium Rhodococcus erythropolis mI2 uses 4,4´-dithiodibutyric acid(DTDB)as carbon source to synthesize polythioesters(PTE).The first step for the production of PTE using DTDB is catalyzed by an NADH:flavin oxidoreductase(nox)as it was previously shown in our laboratory,and the second step is catabolized by a putative luciferase-like monooxygenase(Llm).In the current study,experiments were carried out to identify the function of ***,the llm gene,which encodes for the Llm protein,was amplified from the genomic DNA of mI2 using polymerase chain reaction and expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 *** purification was done using His Spin Trap affinity *** assay was carried out using the purified protein and p-coumaric acid as substrate giving a specific activity of 1.6 u.m. protein for the purified *** responsible gene(llm)was deleted in the genome of mI2,and a single deletion mutant was subsequently ***,growth of the wild-type strain(mI2)and the mutant strain(mI2Δllm)were compared using DTDB or succinate as carbon *** the wild type was successfully grown with DTDB or succinate,the llm-negative mutant exhibited low grow with DTDB although it grows very well with succinate.

In this paper a non-iterative technique is developed for the correction of faulty antenna array based on matrix pencil technique（mPT）. The failure of a sensor in antenna array can damage the radiation power pattern in terms of sidelobes level and nulls. In the developed technique, the radiation pattern of the array is sampled to form discrete power pattern information set. Then this information set can be arranged in the form of Hankel matrix（Hm） and execute the singular value decomposition（SVD）. By removing nonprincipal values, we obtain an optimum lower rank estimation of Hm. This lower rank matrix corresponds to the corrected pattern. Then the proposed technique is employed to recover the weight excitation and position allocations from the estimated matrix. Numerical simulations confirm the efficiency of the proposed technique, which is compared with the available techniques in terms of sidelobes level and nulls.

Efforts have been made to evaluate the influences of the addition of nanoparticles on the strength,durability and mineralogical changes of high strength concrete(HSC).Therefore,mixes were prepared for conventional concrete mix(CCm)of m80 ***,various mixes were prepared by replacing cementitious materials initially with 1%Nano-CaCO_(3)(NC),2%NC,3%NC in the CCm,and then 1%NC and Nano-SiO_(2)(NS)NS,2%NC and NS,3%NC and NS(NC and NS were in equal proportion)in the *** developed concretes were then evaluated for mechanical properties,permeation characteristics,and mineralogical *** the studies,it is found that the concrete at 2%NCS possesses superior mechanical and superior permeation characteristics of all the mixes.A clear variation in the mineralogical structure with the addition of nanoparticles has been observed.

Superalloy C-276 is known to be prone to hot cracking during fusion welding by Gas Tungsten Arc method. microsegregation occurring during cooling of fusion zone with consequent appearance of topologically close-packed phases P and IX has been held responsible for the observed hot cracking. The present work investigated the possibility of suppressing the microsegregation in weldments by resorting to current pulse. Weldments were made by continuous current gas tungsten arc welding and pulsed current gas tungsten arc welding using ERNiCrmo-4 filler wire. The weld joints were studied with respect to microstructure, microsegregation, and mechanical properties. Optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy were employed to study the microstructure. Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy was carried out to evaluate the extent of microsegregation. Tensile testing was carried out to determine the strength and ductility. The results show that the joints fabricated with pulsed current gave rise to narrower welds with practically no heat affected zone, a refined microstructure in the fusion zone, reduced microsegregation, and superior combination of mechanical properties.

In this paper,we describe a study of charged particle yield as a function of pT for K^(*)(892)0 and phgr(1020)mesons in proton–proton(pp)and Pb–Pb collisions at√S_(NN)=2.76 TeV in the central rapidity region of|y|mportant ratio,the nuclear modification factor,to study the effects of the medium in the most central region,i.e.0%–5%*** data simulation,we used the EPOS-LHC and EPOS-1.99 *** check the validity of these models'simulations,we compared the data obtained from these monte Carlo simulation programs with ALICE experimental data for√S_(NN)=2.76 *** was concluded that the models'predictions for the phgr-meson in pp and for the most central Pb-Pb collisions disagreed with the ALICE data,and that the difference increased with *** may be connected with the essential role of collective parton behaviors which could not have been taken into account by the *** K^(*)0 mesons,both programs gave almost the same predictions,and with pT in the interval pT>3 GeV c^(−1),the predictions were very close to the experimental *** models gave higher predictions for the soft pT interval and lower predictions for the hard *** values of the RAA distributions were lower than unity and both models were very close to the ALICE *** is very interesting that the models were not able to describe the pT distributions,but they gave good predictions for their *** may possibly be due to parton collective *** observed some additional suppression of K^(*)0 at low values of pT with respect to phgr-mesons,which may be related to the role of the masses of the particles in soft *** rising trend for R_(AA)in the region from pT=10 GeV c^(−1)to 20 GeV c^(−1) observed by the ALICE experiment was absent for theФ-mesons.

This study employs numerical and statistical approaches to investigate the entropy optimization of steady Casson nanofluidflow over three different geometries subject to boundary conditions induced by *** linear regression is employed to statistically *** present model incorporates several novel elements,such as Arrhenius activation energy,Brownian motion,the Cattaneo-Christov dualflux,thermophoresis,thermal radiation,and so ***,a comparison is presented between Newtonian and *** applying the proper similarity transformations,ordinary differential equations(ODEs)are ob-tained by converting foundational partial differential equations(PDEs).The Runge-Kutta fourth-order method is utilised to solve the obtained ODEs along with the shooting *** out-comes are visually depicted via tables and *** velocity drops with increasing Grashof number,and the magneticfield becomes progressively more forceful as the suction parameter *** temperature gets reduced with the increase of the suction parameter,solute Grashof number increases with the magneticfield,thermophoresis,and radiation *** entropy is observed to rise with the increase of the effective parameters(magneticfield,Brinkmann num-ber and radiation).The mAD(mean absolute deviation),mSE(mean squared error),and RmSE(root mean square error)values are approaching zero,indicating that the derived outcomes are highly accurate.A lower mAPE(mean absolute percentage error)suggests that the model has a higher level of ***,the outcomes of the present model are more precise and *** study has various potential applications such as power plant heat exchangers,material processing industries,and solar thermal energy systems.

microstructural development was analyzed due to the effect of different sizes of precursor powders during surface plasma alloying modification on titanium surface. Ti-B nano and micropowders with 10 wt% B were deposited onto microcrystalline titanium substrate by plasma alloying. As a result, modified surface layer composed of Ti matrix and TiB borides was obtained. The type of the powder precursor influenced recasting process, possible occurrence of porosity and finally the obtained properties and microstructure of the surface layer. Different morphologies and sizes of TiB phase from micro, su.m.cro to even nano increased the hardness and wear resistance of the obtained surface layers. Discussed results referred to a strong TiB precipitation dispersion provided by a fine elements homogenization during mechanical alloying process. Additionally, results of in vitro test with normal human osteoblast cells revealed proper cellular adhesion to modified surfaces. Scanning electron microscopy observation revealed the influence of gas pore size on culturing osteoblast colony. The proposed surface alloying was an effective method of producing TiB phase dispersed in α-Ti matrix with high hardness, good corrosion resistance and good cytocompatibility. Results confirmed that different types of the precursor powders influenced the properties of the surface layer. TiB phase dispersed in α-Ti matrix layer can offer new structural and biofunctional properties for innovative products in hard tissue applications.

Power system planning is a capital intensive investment-decision problem. The majority of the conven- tional planning conducted since the last half a century has been based on the least cost approach, keeping in view the optimization of cost and reliability of power supply. Recently, renewable energy sources have found a niche in power system planning owing to concerns arising from fast depletion of fossil fuels, fuel price volatility as well as global climatic changes. Thus, power system planning is under-going a paradigm shift to incorporate such recent technologies. This paper assesses the impact of renewable sources using the portfolio theory to incorporate the effects of fuel price volatility as well as CO2 emissions. An optimization framework using a robust multi-objective evolutionary algorithm, namely NSGA-II, is developed to obtain Pareto optimal solutions. The performance of the proposed approach is assessed and illustrated using the Indian power system considering real-time design prac- tices. The case study for Indian power system validates the efficacy of the proposed methodology as developing countries are also increasing the investment in green energy to increase awareness about clean energy technologies.

On the detection of closed orbits in time-dependent systems by using double-pulse lasers

In the photodetachment of atoms or negative ions by a double-pulse laser, the first pulse of the double-pulse laser generates waves and the delayed second pulse may detect them. The phenomenon of the excitation and detection of waves by a double-pulse laser can be used to identify the closed orbits in the system. We demonstrate this phenomenon with a negative hydrogen ion(H^-) by analyzing the total population excited by a double-pulse laser in a timedependent field for different physical parameters. By analyzing the total excited population using a double-pulse laser, we can uncover all the closed orbits existing in the system. We demonstrate that this can be realized by scanning the first pulse position and the time delay between the two pulses.
