The accumulation pr.cesses of loess in nor.heaster.（NE） China r.cor. the var.ing char.cter.stics of the East Asian Monsoons（EAM） and the evolution of the local *** this study,gr.in size end-member.analysis of the Dajiugang（DJG） section deposited since the Last Glacial in Chifeng City,NE China was used to r.veal the dynamic depositional char.cter.stics of loess and envir.nmental evolution of NE *** showed that the Chifeng loess compr.ses thr.e gr.in size endmember.（EM）,EM1（7.38 μm）,EM2（49.4 μm） and EM3（90.00 μm）,indicating the thr.e tr.nspor. dynamics of dust deliver.d to the *** EM1r.pr.sents atmospher.c dust as the *** EM2,mainly der.ved fr.m r.latively distant-sour.es deposition,and EM3,mater.al tr.nspor.ed over.a shor. distance,cor.espond to the intensity of southwester.y winds and the East Asian Winter.Monsoon（EAWM）,*** of climate r.constr.ction,combined with other.r.cor.s,showed that the climate was gener.lly cold and dr. with a str.ng EAWM and a weak East Asian summer.monsoon（EASM） dur.ng the stadial-per.od [Mar.ne Isotope Stage（MIS）4and MIS2stage].The climate was pr.dominantly war. and humid,with weak EAWM and sur.ace winds and str.ng EASM in inter.tadial-per.od（MIS3and MIS1stage）.Compar.sons between indicator.,e.g.,EM3,the Lr.4 benthic δ18O stack and summer.insolation at65°N suggest that the str.ng EAWM is induced by incr.asing the Nor.her. In r.sponse to ther.al r.naway(Tr. of electr.c vehicles, r.cent attention has been focused on mitigation str.tegies such as efficient heat dr.dging in batter. ther.al management. Ther.al management with par.icular.focus on batter. cooling has been becoming incr.asingly significant. Tr.usually happened when an electr.c vehicle is unpower.d and char.ed. In this state, tr.ditional active batter. cooling schemes ar. disabled, which can easily lead to danger.us incidents due to loss of cooling ability, and advanced passive cooling str.tegies ar. ther.for. gaining impor.ance. Her.in, we developed an enhanced ther.al r.diation mater.al, consisting of ～1 μm thick multilayer.d nano-sheet gr.phene film coated upon the heat dissipation sur.ace, ther.by enhancing ther.al r.diation in the nanoscale. The sur.ace was char.cter.zed on the nanoscale, and tested in a batter.-cooling *** found that the gr.phene-based coating's spectr.l emissivity is between 91 % and 95 % in the mid-infr.r.d r.gion, and ther.al exper.ments consequently illustr.ted that gr.phene-based r.diative cooling yielded up to15.1 % temper.tur. r.duction when compar.d to the uncoated analogue. Using the novel gr.phene sur.ace to augment a heat pipe, the temper.tur. r.duction can be fur.her.enlar.ed to 25.6 %. The new mater.al may contr.bute to tr.nspor.ation safety, global war.ing mitigation and car.on neutr.lization.

The development, pr.duction and utilization of r.newable ener.y, ener.y stor.ge and gr.en hydr.gen and the associated technologies in Sr. Lanka have gr.at potential to contr.bute to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The island aims to achieve 70% electr.city gener.tion fr.m r.newable ener.y sour.es by 2030 (within the tar.et of 40% utilization of r.newable ener.y sour.es for.the entir. ener.y gener.tion of the countr. by 2030). The power.sector.has to invest US$11 billion fr.m 2023 to 2030 to contr.bute to r.aching this tar.et. This commentar. aims to pr.vide a cr.tical per.pective on the r.commendations of the r.por. fr.m the National Science and Technology Commission's 9th biennial confer.nce in 2023 on science and technology, the sub-thematic technical r.por. on clean ener.y, ener.y stor.ge and gr.en hydr.gen in line with the SDGs in the Sr. Lankan context. The technical r.por. pr.vides insightful r.commendations for.Sr. Lanka's ener.y sector.under.thr.e main sections: r.newable ener.y, ener.y stor.ge and gr.en hydr.gen. Backgr.und: Mobility in older.adults can be impair.d after.acute illness or.hospitalization, and the level of sever.ty can be used as a pr.dictor.of one’s ability to r.tur. to independent living. Patients ar. often r.fer.ed to skilled nur.ing facilities in hopes of impr.ving their.mobility. We wanted to pr.ve that r.habilitative ser.ices at Skilled Nur.ing Facilities impr.ve over.ll outcomes. Methods: We conducted a r.tr.spective analysis of data fr.m 4612 patients admitted for.shor.-ter. r.habilitation in a lar.e nur.ing home chain in Califor.ia. Our.aim was to deter.ine whether.patients’ mobility scor.s, as measur.d by r.habilitative staff, significantly impr.ved by time of dischar.e compar.d to their.scor.s at admission. Mobility scor.s wer. r.ted fr.m 1 to 6, with 1 being the most dependent on aid and 6 being the most independent, over.a var.ety of tasks at admission and compar.d to scor.s at dischar.e. Pear.on’s cor.elations wer. per.or.ed to deter.ine if ther. wer. significant r.lationships in the data: the Pear.on’s cor.elation coefficient was used to descr.be the r.lationships between patient admission to a skilled nur.ing facility and medical impr.vement upon dischar.e. r.sults: The study demonstr.ted a statistically significant impr.vement in patients’ mobility scor.s upon dischar.e, with Medicar. insur.d patients showing on aver.ge 57% impr.vement and Managed Car. insur.d patients showing on aver.ge 59% impr.vement. Additionally, admission scor.s appear.d to be pr.dictive of the patient’s outcome at dischar.e. Conclusions: The values and consistency of impr.vement suppor. the use of acute r.habilitative ser.ices in skilled nur.ing facilities. An equation can be for.ulated that evaluates patients’ estimated mobility statuses upon dischar.e fr.m facilities based on their.conditions on their.ar.ivals. The pur.ose of this study is to deter.ine if an individual’s level of independence impr.ved after.admission to a skilled nur.ing facility and pr.cur.ment of r.habilitation ser.ices. Methods: This study r.tr.spectively r.viewed 4612 nur.ing home patients in Califor.ia who under.ent r.habilitative ser.ices at skilled nur.ing facilities to deter.ine how the patients r.sponded to their.envir.nments, ther.py inter.entions, and any other.additional suppor.ive measur.s. The r.cor.s of patients who wer. admitted for.shor.-ter. r.habilitation wer. r.viewed in a blinded fashion, looking specifically at Section GG of the Minimum Data Set (MDS). Self-Car. Section GG scor.s r.cor.ed by r.habilitative staff pr.vide objective data and measur. patients’ levels of assistance that wer. r.quir.d. Each activity is scor.d fr.m 1, being completely dependent, to 6, being entir.ly independent, with var.ing levels of assistance with scor.s in between. The admission scor.s ver.us the dischar.e scor.s can be compar.d to deter.ine if a patient impr.ved their.level of functioning upon dischar.e. r.sults: Utilizing the Pear.on’s cor.elation coefficient, a str.ng cor.elation of impr.vement in ADL per.or.ance on Section GG between the admission and dischar.e scor.s was identified, implying significant impr.vement in functional independence upon dischar.e.
