The particle-hole state density in pre-equilibrium exciton model is required to calculate the cross section in pre-equilibrium nuclear reactions. In order to get a good match between theoretical and experimental data the state density need to be corrected with some corrections. In this work some of the corrections that must be added to the state density have been collected all in an energy dependent correction functionJ~. The effects of adding Pauli Exclusion Principle, bound state, finite depth of the nuclear potential and pairing corrections have been examined to energies up to 100 meV. The results were obtained using energy dependent single particle level density or the non equi-distant spacing model. Comparisons are made by adding some and full combination of the corrections to get an accurate and convenient choice in pre-equilibrium state density estimations. The results are compared with available experimental （Oslo）, and theoretical （HF-BCS） results. Results have been found matching the previously obtained experimental and theoretical results.

A fast automatic AC-DC switch is designed and fabricated mainly by a microcontroller and three double poles single throw reed *** new switch is introduced to establish a fully automated system for AC-DC measurements through ACDC transfer standards for the first time at the National Institute for standards(N IS)in *** implemented circuit of theautomatic AC-DC switch and its protection are presented in *** AC voltage source is calibrated against DC voltagesource by using the demonstrated automatic switch as an application The calibrated voltage ranges are2V,6V,20V and60V as *** uncertainty budget is also evaluated for the calibrated values.

Current dependence and stability of the measured resistance value are very important for the accurate measurement of DC standard resistor. In this paper, the volt-ampere （V-I） measurement method has been applied to study the current depend-ence of four different types of standard resistors. Diverse values are obtained through the investigation of their stability at dif-ferent currents. Therefore, the current dependence coefficient （CDC） can be determined for each one of the studied resistors. Research shows CDC depends on the applied current value, the measurement time and the resistor type, as clearly demonstra-ted in this research.

Introduction: H. pylori is the comment infection worldwide. Its relation to dyspepsia has long been investigated. However, the association between H. pylori and other microbiota in the context of dyspepsia is less understood. The aim of this study was to determine different bacterial species isolated from the stomachs of patients with H. pylori infection and dyspepsia. methods: A total of 81 patients were included and divided into: group I (N = 50) patients complaining of chronic dyspepsia and group II (N = 31) are patients with non-dyspeptic symptoms endoscoped for reasons other than dyspepsia. All patients were endoscoped and 4 gastric biopsies were obtained from each patient. All patients were examined initially by rapid urease test then histopathology to confirm H. pylori infection and determine the degree of gastric inflammation and finally tissue cultures for H. pylori and other bacterial species using matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time-of-flight mass spectroscopy (mALDI-TOF mS). Results: Regarding the demographics;patients of dyspepsia in group I were more consumers of spicy food and smoking than non-dyspeptic patients. Almost, all dyspeptic patients (98%) who had underlying gastric pathology with active gastritis and erosions were the most frequent reported pathological findings. Culture results showed significant association of Staphyloccus and Lactobacillus with dyspepsia while Streptoccous and Klebsilla were more frequent among non-dyspeptic patients. Conclusion: Dyspeptic patients in this study had different grades of gastric pathology and different species of microbiota were isolated, which seems to have concomitant interaction with H. pylori in pathogenicity of gastric mucosa and cause symptoms of chronic dyspepsia.

Frequency and Determinants of Peripheral Neuropathy in Diabetic Children in Sohag, Egypt

Background: Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is a common complication among children with TIDm and is related to poor glycemic control. The aim of the study is to determine prevalence and determinants of diabetic neuropathy in diabetic children. material& methods: This is a cross sectional study conducted on 50 children having Type I diabetes mellitus for more than year presented to Pediatric Neurology and Endocrinology Outpatient Clinics, Sohag University Hospital, Sohag, Egypt, during one year duration (2017). Children were subjected to detailed neurological examination and electrophysiologic studies in addition to recording of socio demographic and laboratory findings with special regard to level of HbA1c. Results: The mean age of the studied children was 10.5 ± 0.3 years ranging from 5 to 18 years. 22 cases (44%) were younger than 10 years, 27 children (54%) were females. DPN was diagnosed in 12% of the studied children. No significant relation was found as regard age, gender, family history, consanguinity and duration of the diseases. Significant association was found between the HbA1c level and development of DPN in the studied children. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, 12% of the studied diabetic children had DPN of whom more than 16% had subclinical neuropathy indicating the need for annual screening of neuropathy using Nerve Conduction Study. moreover strict glycaemic control is needed to prevent rapid development of diabetic among these children.

The hepatoprotective activity of the ethanol extract of Astragalus kahiricus(Fabaceae) roots against ethanol-induced liver apoptosis was evaluated and it showed very promising hepatoprotective actions through different *** extract counteracted the ethanol-induced liver enzymes leakage and glutathione *** addition,it demonstrated anti-apoptotic effects against caspase-3 activation and DNA fragmentation that were confirmed by liver histopathological ***,the phytochemical study of this extract led to the isolation of four cycloartane-type triterpenes identified as astrasieversianin II(1),astramembrannin II(2),astrasieversianin XIV(3),and cycloastragenol(4).The structures of these isolates were established by HRESI-mS and 1D and 2D NmR *** antimicrobial,antimalarial,and cytotoxic activities of the isolates were further evaluated,but none of them showed any activity.

3D Conformal Re-Irradiation with Temozolamide for Recurrent Glioblastoma: A Prospective Cohort Study

Introduction and objectives: Salvage treatment of recurrent Glioblastoma (GBm) is one of the most challenging tasks in neuro-oncology. There is no standard treatment for recurrent GBm as options include resection, chemotherapy, and re-irradiation either separate or in combination. Role of concomitant temozolamide with re-irradiation in recurrent disease is still debatable. Therefore, this study evaluates efficacy of concurrent and adjuvant temozolamide with re-irradiation in management of recurrent GBm. Patients and methods: Twenty two patients with recurrent glioblastoma were eligible. Patients were treated with 3 D conformal radiotherapy. The dose ranged from 30 to 40 Gy in 1.6 to 1.8 Gy per fraction for 5 days per week. Temozolamide was administrated at 50 mg/m2 daily dose during radiation therapy. Adjuvant Temozolomide (200 mg/m2) was given orally for five days every four weeks for 4 - 6 cycles for patients who did not receive temozolamide before, and 150 mg/m2 for pretreated patients. Results: 22 patients received re-irradiation with median dose 38 Gy (range 33 - 40 Gy), concurrent with temozolamide. The time interval between primary and re-irradiation ranged from 6 to 23 months with median 12 months. The re-irradiated volume, median was 101.95 cm3 (range 30 - 375 cm3). The median cumulative maximum dose to optic system and brain stem were 53.5 Gy (range 42 - 63 Gy), and 60 Gy (range 54 - 73 Gy), respectively. Response rate was 72.7%, one patient showed complete response (4.5%), partial response and stable disease registered in 22.7% and 45.5%, respectively. The median overall survival (OS) was 10 months (range 4 - 13 months), and median progression-free (PFS) survival was 7.5 months (range 2 - 11 months). The 6 and 12 months OS rate was 100% and 56.6% respectively, and the 6 months PFS rate was 93.3%. No major acute toxicity was observed. About 70% of patients experienced grade 2 toxicity in the form of headache, nausea & vomiting, skin erythema and alopecia.

The pace of society development is faster than ever before,and the smart city paradigm has also emerged,which aims to enable citizens to live in more sustainable cities that guarantee well-being and a comfortable living *** has been done by a network of new technologies hosted in real time to track the activities and provide smart solutions for the incoming requests or problems of the *** of the most often used methodologies for creating a smart city is the Internet of Things(loT).Therefore,the IoT-enabled smart city research topic,which consists of many different domains such as transportation,healthcare,and agriculture,has recently attracted increasing attention in the research ***,advances in artificial intelligence(Al)significantly contribute to the growth of *** this paper,we first present the smart city concept,the background of smart city development and the components of the IoT-based smart *** is followed up by a literature review of the research literature on the most recent IoT-enabled smart cities developments and breakthroughs empowered by AI techniques to highlight the current stage,major trends and unsolved challenges of adopting Al-driven IoT technologies for the establishment of desirable smart ***,we summarize the paper with a discussion of future research to provide recommendations for research direction in the smart city domain.
