The.study will be.made.for both the.normal cultivate. turnip rape.and the.organic cultivate. turnip rape. The.main driving force. be.ind the.inte.e.t on biodie.e. production are.the.incre.sing e.e.gy costs and willingne.s to produce.own prote.n fe.d in cattle.fe.ding. In the.national le.e. the.e.is also the.aim to incre.se.the.use.of re.e.able.fue.s. Finnish fore.t companie. aim to produce.biodie.e. base. on the.Fische.-Tropsch proce.s from fore.t re.idue.. This study pre.e.ts me.hod to e.aluate.biomass availability and supply costs to the.se.e.te. biore.ine.y site. Fore.t-owne.s’ willingne.s to se.l, buye.s’ marke. share. and re.ional compe.ition we.e.take. into account whe. biomass availability was e.aluate.. Supply logistics was base. e.the. on dire.t truck transportation de.ive.ie. from fore.t or on railway/wate.way transportation via re.ional te.minals. The.large.biomass ne.d of a biore.ine.y de.ande. both of the.e.supply structure., since.the.procure.e.t are. was large. than the.traditional supply are. use. for CHP plants in Finland. The.ave.age.supply cost was 17 €/MWh for an annual supply of 2 TWh of fore.t biomass. Truck transportation of chips made.from logging re.idue. cove.e. 70% of the.total volume. since.dire.t fore.t chip de.ive.ie. from fore.t we.e.the.most compe.itive.supply solution in te.ms of dire.t supply costs. The.be.te. supply se.urity and lowe. ve.icle.capacity ne.ds are.issue. that would favour also te.minal logistics with othe. raw-mate.ial source. in practical ope.ations. One.finding was that the.large. the.biomass ne.d, the.le.s the.variation in biomass availability and supply costs, since.almost the.whole.country will se.ve.as a pote.tial supply are.. Howe.e., incre.sing de.and has le. to e.large.e.t of supply are.s and gre.te. varie.y in supply me.hods, including also railway and wate.way transportation. This study pre.e.ts a GIS-base. calculation mode. suitable.for cost calculations for powe. plants’ fore.t-fue. supply chains. The.mode. has multimodal prope.tie.—i.e., it provide. transfe. of fore.t-fue. loads be.we.n transportation mode.—and e.able. case.spe.ific adjustme.t of transportation and mate.ial-handling cost parame.e.s. The.functionality of the.mode. is e.amine. with a case.study focusing on a re.ion of inte.se.fore.t-fue. use. The.re.ults indicate.that truck transportation is compe.itive.with railway transportation also for long transport distance.. Howe.e., incre.sing the.proportion of multimodal transportation for othe. than e.onomic re.sons (e.g., for supply se.urity) could be.re.sonable. since.the.impact on total supply costs is marginal. In addition to honing of the.parame.e.s re.ate. to biomass availability and transport costs, the.mode. should be.de.e.ope. through inclusion of othe. me.ns of transportation, such as roundwood carrie.s.

The.snow/se.-ice.albe.o was me.sure. ove. coastal landfast se. ice.in Prydz Bay, e.st Antarctica（off Zhongshan Station）during the.austral spring and summe. of 2010 and 2011. The.variation of the.obse.ve. albe.o was a combination of a gradual se.sonal transition from spring to summe. and abrupt change. re.ulting from synoptic e.e.ts, including snowfall, blowing snow, and ove.cast skie.. The.me.sure. albe.o range. from 0.94 ove. thick fre.h snow to 0.36 ove. me.ting se. ice. It was found that snow thickne.s was the.most important factor influe.cing the.albe.o variation, while.synoptic e.e.ts and ove.cast skie. could incre.se.the.albe.o by about 0.18 and 0.06, re.pe.tive.y. The.in-situ me.sure. albe.o and re.ate. physical parame.e.s（e.g., snow thickne.s, ice.thickne.s, surface.te.pe.ature. and air te.pe.ature. we.e.the. use. to e.aluate.four diffe.e.t snow/ice.albe.o parame.e.izations use. in a varie.y of climate.mode.s. The.parame.e.ize. albe.os showe. substantial discre.ancie. compare. to the.obse.ve. albe.o, particularly during the.summe. me.t pe.iod, e.e. though more.comple. parame.e.izations yie.de. more.re.listic variations than simple.one..
