EMD-Att-LSTM: A Data-driven Strategy Combined with Deep Learning for Short-term Load Forecasting

Electric load forecasting is an efficient tool for system planning, and consequently, building sustainable power systems. However, achieving desirable performance is difficult owing to the irregular, nonstationary, nonlinear, and noisy nature of the observed data. Therefore, a new attention-based encoderdecoder model is proposed, called empirical mode decomposition-attention-long short-term memory(EMD-Att-LSTM).EMD is a data-driven technique used for the decomposition of complex series into subsequent simpler series. It explores the inherent properties of data to obtain the components such as trend and seasonality. Neural network architecture driven by deep learning uses the idea of a fine-grained attention mechanism, that is, considering the hidden state instead of the hidden state vectors, which can help reflect the significance and contributions of each hidden state dimension. In addition, it is useful for locating and concentrating the relevant temporary data,leading to a distinctly interpretable network. To evaluate the proposed model, we use the repository dataset of Australian energy market operator(AEMO). The proposed architecture provides superior empirical results compared with other advanced models. It is explored using the indices of root mean square error(RMSE) and mean absolute percentage error(MAPE).

In this paper a stable formation control law that simultaneously ensures collision avoidance has been *** is assumed that the communication graph is undirected and *** proposed formation control law is a combination of the consensus term and the collision avoidance term(CAT).The first order consensus term is derived for the proposed model,while ensuring the Lyapunov *** consensus term creates and maintains the desired formation shape,while the CAT avoids the *** the collision avoidance,the potential function based CAT makes the agents repel from each *** unrestricted repelling magnitude cannot ensure the graph connectivity at the time of collision *** we have proposed a formation control law,which ensures this connectivity even during the collision *** is achieved by the proposed novel adaptive potential *** potential function adapts itself,with the online tuning of the critical variable associated with *** tuning has been done based on the lower bound of the critical variable,which is derived from the proposed connectivity *** efficacy of the proposed scheme has been validated using simulations done based on formations of six and thirty-two agents respectively.

Under small and marginal farm conditions,allocation of land exclusively for forages is not ***,integration of forages in existing crop geometry can ensure production of grain and fodder,simultaneously under rainfed *** experiment was conducted to study the effect of different nutrient management practices on rice and fodder intercropping systems under rainfed conditions during *** intercropping system comprised(i)sole rice(R),(ii)rice and cowpea(5:2)(CP)and(iii)rice and ricebean(5:2)(RB)whereas the different nutrient management practices comprised(i)application of farm yard manure(FYM)at 5t ha^(-1)(farmers'practice)(N_(1)),(ii)application of inorganic fertilizer(recommended dose of fertilizer(RDF)of rice,60:30:30 kg ha^(-1) of N:P_(2)O_(5):k_(2)O)(N_(2))and(iii)application of both FYM at 5t ha^(-1) and 50%of RDF inorganic fertilizer(N3).The results of the experiment revealed that the growth attribute such as leaf area was influenced significantly when fodder crops were taken as intercrops because rice plant was getting more nitrogen from soil due to nitrogen fixation of leguminous fodder *** the nutrient management practices,significant differences in leaf area were found beween N2 and and between N_(3)and N_(1)***,regarding total number of effective tillers,significant differences were found neither between nutrient management practices nor between cropping *** rice equivalent yield(REY)based on price(REY_(P))was found to be significantly lower in CP(2615 kg ha^(-1);-6.4%)and RB intercropping systems(2571 kg ha^(-1);-8.0%)than in R monocropping system(2794 kg ha^(-1)).However,the REY based on energy(REY_(E))of CP(2999 kg ha^(-1);+7.3%)and RB(2960 kg ha^(-1);+5.9%)were found to be significantly higher than that of R(2794 kg ha^(-1))irrespective of nutrient management *** different nutrient management practices,the N3 treatment recorded the highest REY_(P)and REY_(E)which was at par with

BACkGROUND In patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis(PD),catheter dysfunction is a common complication.A misplaced catheter is one of the reasons contributing to its *** present study aimed to describe a case of misplaced PD catheter with an unusual location of the catheter *** SUMMARY A 61-year-old man undergoing PD for 4 years was investigated for progressive nausea and fatigue of 3 *** adequacy studies indicated inefficient *** discovered that the PD catheter tip was mispositioned in the pelvic cavity with its tip outside the peritoneal *** the dialysate accumulating outside the peritoneal cavity,the patient had not developed perineal or scrotal *** patient had experienced a sustainable prolonged dialysis efficacy in this case until the renal function deteriorated further in view of the poor dialysis outcome and worsening health *** patient was subsequently transitioned to *** Proper placement of the catheter in the peritoneal cavity should always be confirmed and rechecked when necessary in patients undergoing PD to ensure dialytic adequacy.

Inflammation of a part or whole of the temporal bone and surrounding soft tissue is termed as malignant otitis externa,which typically spreads to skull base to involve cranial nerves *** can it also effect one or more of cranial nerves IX,X,XI,and *** present a case of malignant otitis externa which presented with symptomatic palsy of IX and XII nerves sparing the VII cranial *** patient though later on had internal jugular vein thrombosis,which we presume is due to the involvement of the parapharyngeal space that prompted us to reconsider the diagnosis,and later on,to aggravate the *** proper blood sugar control and appropriate long term antibiotics,not only that the patient is disease free at one year follow up,but the cranial nerve deficits also *** from sharing the clinical and management details of this patient,we have reviewed the relevant literature in the discussion,which has shed some light onto some of the interesting facts about this condition and its prognosis.

Mathematical Model Development of Raceway Parameters and Their Effects on Corex Process

Corex is an alternative ironmaking process and raceway is one of the important areas to maintain the stability of the furnace. The raceway parameters are well established for blast furnace operation. But for Corex process,it has not yet been established and optimized. Thus,a mathematical model was developed to determine various raceway parameters such as RAFT （raceway adiabatic flame temperature）,tuyere gas velocity and kinetic energy. The model provides an idea about the raceway geometry,zone temperature and kinetic energy accumulated in tuyere gas. Besides,all the raceway parameters have been analyzed to find out their effects on the Corex process. It is found that RAFT influences the gasification reaction kinetics and higher RAFT generates more CO in reduction gas,which improves the metallisation degree of the DRI in shaft. It is also found that increased gas velocity and kinetic energy generate more fines and demand more coke to maintain char bed permeability. High coke rate increases the production cost and lowers the production of hot metal.

A Heuristic Algorithm for Core Selection in Multicast Routing

With the development of network multimedia technology, more and more real-time multimedia applications need to transmit information using multicast. The basis of multicast data transmission is to construct a multicast tree. The main problem concerning the construction of a shared multicast tree is selection of a root of the shared tree or the core point. In this paper, we propose a heuristic algorithm for core selection in multicast routing. The proposed algorithm selects core point by considering both delay and inter-destination delay variation. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm performs better than the existing algorithms in terms of delay variation subject to the end-to-end delay bound. The mathematical time complexity and the execution time of the proposed algorithm are comparable to those of the existing algorithms.

Rare earth metal based perovskite emerges as important catalytic material for energy production and *** ABO_(3) type materials are now the focus of research in the field of oxygen reduction and evolution ***,in this work we evaluated the oxygen reduction properties of the synthesized one-dimensional REMnO_(3)(RE=Pr,Nd,Sm,Eu and Gd).The one-dimensional REMnO_(3) prepared by the hydrothermal synthesis route results in pure phase perovskite on *** perovskite was characte rized with X-ray diffraction,Fourier transform-infrared(FT-IR),field emission-scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The oxygen reduction reaction activities were investigated with the help of electrochemical workstation that consists of three-electrode system immersed in 0.1 mol/L kOH electrolyte solution saturated with *** koutechy-Levich plot obtained from rotating ring disk electrode shows all the prepared catalysts follow 4e^(-)processes during oxygen *** effect of "A" site cation variation in REMnO3 on oxygen reduction reaction is ***_(3) showed better onset potential for oxygen reduction reaction among the prepared rare earth ***_(3) having high RE:Mn ratio(A-site rich co mpositions) promotes oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) *** the perovs kites showed good oxygen reduction property with high stability and methanol tolerance.
