Biological silicon nanoparticles improve Phaseolus vulgaris L. yield and minimize its contaminant contents on a heavy metals-contaminated saline soil

The synthesis of biological silicon nano-particles(Bio-si-NPs)is an eco-friendly and lowcost *** is no study focusing on the effect of Bio-si-NPs on the plants grown on saline soil contaminated with heavy *** this study,an attempt was made to synthesis Bio-si-NPs using potassium silica florid substrate,and the identified Aspergillus tubingensis Am11 isolate that separated from distribution systems of the potable water.A twoyear field trial was conducted to compare the protective effects of Bio-si-NPs(2.5 and 5.0 mmol/L)and potassium silicate(10 mmol/L)as a foliar spray on the antioxidant defense system,physio-biochemical components,and the contaminants contents of Phaseolus vulgaris *** on saline soil contaminated with heavy *** findings showed that all treatments of Bio-si-NPs and potassium silicate significantly improved plant growth and production,chlorophylls,carotenoids,transpiration rate,net photosynthetic rate,stomatal conductance,membrane stability index,relative water content,free proline,total soluble sugars,N,P,K,Ca2+,K+/Na+,and the activities of peroxidase,catalase,ascorbic peroxidase and superoxide oxide *** of Bio-si-NPs and potassium silicate significantly decreased electrolyte leakage,malondialdehyde,H2 O2,O2·-,Na+,Pb,Cd,and Ni in leaves and pods of Phaseolus vulgaris *** to ***-si-NPs were more effective compared to potassium *** of Bio-si-NPs at the rate of 5 mmol/L was the recommended treatment to enhance the performance and reduce heavy metals content on plants grown on contaminated saline soils.

Natural convection of non-Newtonian power-law fluid over axisymmetric and two-dimensional bodies of arbitrary shape in fluid-saturated porous media

Numerical analysis of the free convection coupled heat and mass transfer is presented for non-Newtonian power-law fluids with the yield stress flowing over a two-dimensional or axisymmetric body of an arbitrary shape in a fluid-saturated porous medium. The governing boundary layer equations and boundary conditions are cast into a dimensionless form by the similarity transformation. The resulting system of equations is solved by a finite difference method. The parameters studied are the rheological constants, the buoyancy ratio, and the Lewis number. Representative velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles are presented and discussed. It is found that the results depend strongly on the values of the yield stress parameter and the power-law index of the non-Newtonian fluid.

The free convective heat transfer to the power-law non-Newtonian flow from a vertical plate in a porous medium saturated with nanofluid under laminar conditions is investigated. It is considered that the non-Newtonian nanofluid obeys the mathematical model of power-law. The model used for the nanofluid incorporates the effects of Brown- ian motion and thermophoresis. The partial differential system governing the problem is transformed into an ordinary system via a usual similarity transformation. The numer- ical solutions of the resulting ordinary system are obtained. These solutions depend on the power-law index n, Lewis number Le, buoyancy-ratio number Nr, Brownian motion number Nb, and thermophoresis number Nt. For various values of n and Le, the effects of the influence parameters on the fluid behavior as well as the reduced Nusselt number are presented and discussed.

Physico-analytical studies on salicylaldehyde Thiosemicarbazone Complexes

The complexes of salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone with Pd, Cu and Ru were prepared. The prepared complexes were characterized by spectroscopic, element and thermal analyses and D.C. conductivity measurements. The antimicrobial activity of all the prepared compounds against gram-positive, gram-negative and fungi was studied. From these studies, it has been obtained that the ligand is bonded to the metals through O, N and s, but to palladium in [Pd (H//2L//2)] Cl//2 only through N and O. Biological studies confirm that the organic effect on both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria is very weak and their complexes have no effect on fungi, but Cu-complex has strong influence on both types of bacteria. Influence of chemical reaction on heat and mass transfer of non-Newtonian fluid with yield stress by free convection from vertical surface in porous medium considering soret effect

The effect of chemical reaction on free convection heat and mass transfer for a non-Newtonian power law fluid over a vertical flat plate embedded in a fluid-saturated porous medium has been studied in the presence of the yield stress and the soret effect. The governing boundary layer equations and boundary conditions are cast into a dimen- sionless form by similarity transformations, and the resulting system of equations is solved by a finite difference method. The results are presented and discussed for concentration profiles, as well as the Nusselt number and the sherwood number for various values of the parameters, which govern the problem. The results obtained show that the flow field is influenced appreciably by the presence of the chemical reaction parameter γ the order *** chemical reaction parameter m, the soret number st, the buoyancy ratio N, the Lewis number Le, and the dimensionless rheological parameter Ω.

Vitamin D&vitamin D receptor(VDR)signaling play a very crucial role in early embryonic heart *** construct this case-control study to investigate the association between maternal serum vitamin D level&VDR gene Fok1 polymorphism and risk of congenital heart defects(CHD)in *** mothers who had term neonates with CHD were considered as *** age-comparable healthy mothers who had neonates without CHD were contemplated as *** serum 25 hydroxyvitamin D[25(OH)D]level was tested using *** VDR gene Fok1 polymorphism was analyzed using PCR-based *** was a significant decrease in maternal vitamin D level(P=0.002)and a significant increase in vitamin D deficient status(P=0.007)among cases when compared to *** gene Fok1 genotypes distribution frequency were in accordance with Hardy Weinberg equilibrium(HW)among controls.A significant increase in VDR gene Fok1 F/f&f/f genotypes and f allele were observed in cases compared to controls with estimated odds ratio(95%confidence interval)&P-value of 3(1e8)&P=0.006,11(1e97)&P=0.01 and 3(2e6)&P=0.001 *** was a significant decrease in maternal vitamin D level in neonates with cyanotic CHD(P=0.000)compared to those with a cyanotic CHD while there was no significant difference in VDR Fok1 genotype(P=0.18)&allele(P=0.05)distribution between two *** concluded that maternal vitamin D deficiency and VDR gene Fok1 F/f,f/f genotype and f allele were associated with increased risk of CHD in offspring.

The possible source of uranium mineralization in felsic volcanic rocks,Eastern Desert,Egypt of the Arabian-Nubian shield:Constraints from whole-rock geochemistry and spectrometric prospection

The present work deals with the detailed geology,mineralogy,geochemistry,and spectrometric prospection of the felsic volcanic rocks at the Eastern Desert,Egypt of the Arabian-Nubian *** volcanic rocks are an essential source for rare earth elements(REEs)and uranium occurrences in this *** are compositionally uniform with tholeiitic to calc-alkaline affinities,peraluminous and belong to the series of rhyolite with high-K *** exhibit more enrichment in high field strength elements(HFsE,***,Ta,Nd,Th,and U)and large-ion lithophile elements(LILE,*** and Rb)compared to the country rocks of the studied area,with REE ranging from 188.20 to 442.70 ppm and strong depletion in Ti,sr,P with deep negative Eu *** felsic volcanic rocks were mostly generated from the partial melting of quartz-amphibolite facies accreted during the *** oddities of Zr-U-Th for the felsic volcanic rocks determine the involvement of crustal *** volcanic rocks are found in A-type suites of magma and represent highly fractionated rocks derived from rhyolitic magma,with insignificant interaction with continental crust in the low-pressure environment and during fractional *** volcanic rocks have higher values of radioactivity in which eU range from 0.5 to 121 ppm and eTh from 1.0 to 415.10 *** high values of eU and eTh can be ascribed to the mineralization of uranium and the presence of accessory minerals of radiogenic nature such as uranophane,uranothorite,zircon,and *** is considered as the mineral with most enriched uranium contents in the studied felsic volcanic rocks in which(UO2=87.30 wt%).Also,they are enriched with REE-bearing accessory minerals comprising allanite,titanite,and *** geological investigations of the felsic volcanic rocks in the studied areas are inappropriate to clear the feasible economic potentialities of rare earth elements and U occurrences;itemized and invaluable

Two new analytical formulae expressing explicitly the derivatives of Chebyshev polynomials of the third and fourth kinds of any degree and of any order in terms of Chebyshev polynomials of the third and fourth kinds themselves are proved. Two other explicit formulae which express the third and fourth kinds Chebyshev expansion coefficients of a general-order derivative of an infinitely differentiable function in terms of their original expansion coefficients are also given. Two new reduction formulae for summing some terminating hypergeometric functions of unit argument are deduced. As an application of how to use Chebyshev polynomials of the third and fourth kinds for solving high-order boundary value problems, two spectral Galerkin numerical solutions of a special linear twelfth-order boundary value problem are given.

Numerical Algorithm for solving multi-Pantograph Delay Equations on the Half-line Using Jacobi Rational Functions with Convergence Analysis

A new spectral Jacobi rational-Gauss collocation （JRC） method is proposed for solving the multi- pantograph delay differential equations on the half-line. The method is based on Jacobi rational functions and Gauss quadrature integration formula. The main idea for obtaining a semi-analytical solution for these equations is essentially developed by reducing the pantograph equations with their initial conditions to systems of algebraic equations in the unknown expansion coefficients. The convergence analysis of the method is analyzed. The method possesses the spectral accuracy. Numerical results indicating the high accuracy and effectiveness of this algorithm are presented. Indeed, the present method is compared favorably with other methods.
